This is a picture of a young happy mother and two kids having
breakfast together. It is probably summer as they are wearing light
clothes and the sun is shining outside. The mother is sitting on
a blue chair and holding a baby on her knees. The little girl is
turning her head towards the mother. A boy of about seven years
old is standing beside the mother and hugging her with his arms.
The picture is probably taken by the father who might be sitting at
the other side of the table. There is a glass bowl with apples and
bananas on the left side of the table and a jar with orange juice in
the bottom right-hand corner. I can see two glasses with juice,
three plates with some food on them and two white cups in the
middle of the table. One of the cups must be the mother’s and the
second one seems to be the father’s. They might be having coffee
and it looks as if they are enjoying their time together.
1. I can see some fruit and orange juice on the table that makes
me think that their diet is rather healthy.

In the foreground of the picture I can see a mixed group of
cyclists spending their leisure time in the mountains. They are two
girls and two boys of a similar age who might be friends or
couples. It might be summer because the weather is sunny and
the grass around is succulently green. The teenagers are wearing

colourful sports clothes: tracksuits or blouses and shorts. One of
the boys is carrying a rucksack on his back. They are standing
next to their bikes and smiling for the picture. I can see a river
behind them and a mountainous scenery in the background.
I think the young people are on holidays and it seems that they are
having a great time.
1. The people might be happy because they are spending time
in good company and it looks like they are having fun. Additionally, the weather is wonderful and they can admire the
landscape.
2. I prefer to spend my leisure time with my friends. We usually
go for a walk or ride bikes.

people on the right look like a couple. They are attractive, young
and wearing elegant clothes. The woman has long blond hair and
is dressed in a black dress. The man’s hair is dark and he is
wearing a white shirt and a brown sweater. All the people have
their wineglasses raised in a toast. It looks as if they are celebrating
the couple’s wedding anniversary and they seem to be having
a good time.
1. People in Poland celebrate different occasions. Generally,
they meet with friends or family at home or in a restaurant
and eat a lot of very tasty dishes, drink alcohol and dance.
2. I like Polish cuisine so I prefer restaurants which serve
traditional Polish food.

Six members of the team and their leader are sitting at two small

businesspeople are in their thirties and the boss looks about fty
years old. All are wearing formal clothes consisting of black suits
and white or blue shirts. In the background I can see a white
board with a diagram on it. It indicates that they are probably
analysing sales reports. Some of them are using laptops which
are placed on the tables. The team leader is holding a piece of
paper and a pen in his hands. He is drawing attention to something.
The young team members are looking at him and smiling. They
look like they are enjoying the time and seem to be an example of
successful teamwork.
1. In my opinion almost all jobs are suitable both for men and
women, including this one. Very well qualied and experienced
businesswomen are effective to the same degree as businessmen.
2. I would like to be a cook or a chef in a restaurant. I enjoy
preparing meals and like working with people.

dressed in checked blue pyjamas. He looks retired and must be in
his seventies. The doctor who might be an osteopath is checking
the reexes of the man using a reex hammer on the patient’s
knee. The elderly man seems to be ill but calm and hoping to
recover soon.
1. The man is being examined because he is not feeling well or
he is having a check-up. He may be having pains connected
with old age or recovering from a serious illness.
2. An ideal doctor should be well qualied and skilled at his
work. He should be sympathetic and caring of patients.
