Company Presentation
With great pleasure we would like to offer the services of AKME Company – Zdzisław Wisniewski Spółka z o.o.
and briefly present our business; the company has operated on the all-Poland investment market since 1992 and
has been working with national and foreign contracting partners.
AKME - Zdzisław Wisniewski is especially experienced in conducting investment works in old-town and city-centre
building complexes subject to preservation maintenance. This includes archaeological and architectural surveying,
any performing construction works, particularly demolition, earth, and shoring works in excavations as well as in
existing buildings.

Our Investors can also order professional services related to scientific consultancy in the following fields:
Assessment of real estate usefulness for smooth investment completion,
Comprehensive design,
Anthropology,
Archaeology,
Architecture,
History of art,
Historic building restoration,
2
Geology and hydrology,
General construction.
We offer full completion of excavations (including the service of designing and wall shoring) under buildings;
moreover, we transport soil with debris from the demolition of foundations, which were previously examined
architecturally and archaeologically in order to obtain the required foundation level of the building.
We have appropriate specialised units intended for earth and demolition works.
Such works require that the equipment is constantly and fully prepared despite numerous stoppages resulting
from the specificity of architectural works.
Our offers especially include declarations to undertake actions such as:
1. Preparation of comprehensive design documentation allowing to obtain the construction permit as well as
providing and obtaining:
a. Location indications, decisions on land development conditions or site land utilisation plan (preparation,
collection of essential documents and necessary information, analysis of the investor’s plans, local plan extract,
performance supervision, and the analysis of conclusions from the Environmental Impact Report),
b. Initial architectural design,
c. Preparing comprehensive construction design (preparation of the Environmental Impact Report while obtaining
the construction permit as well as Comprehensive Construction Design with OHS arrangements with experts,
agreeing a network collecting chart and land development project in a design coordination team ZUDTP),
d. Obtaining final decision to permit construction,
e. Preparation of tendering designs and design drawings,
f. Performing project architect's supervision and obtaining occupancy permit.
2. Designing a fence for the site area, adjusted to the needs of the investment; submitting this design to an
architecture and construction department Wydział Architektury i Budownictwa as well as building and mounting
the fence,
3. Construction site surveying which also requires us to:
Prepare base map for design purposes,
Present and establish boundary lines,
Mark fence line,
Mark existing network within the investment area,
Install temporary benchmarks,
Perform gradual quantity surveys with the use of the geodetic method, cyclically prepare basic trig data,
Stake out the elevation of excavation floor,
Prepare as-built basic trig data.
4. Designing road access to a construction site for the time of investment, installing any necessary warning signs,
preparing entry and exit, and building a wheel wash for vehicles leaving the site,
5. Preparing a substitute traffic plan for the time of survey and earth works, and then executing such works, i.e.
putting up road signs for the substitute traffic and reconstructing the road pavement.
6. Preparing demolition project and undertaking demolition works as well as transporting and utilising
demolition material and preparing necessary applications; moreover, submitting a notification that waste is being
generated, according to the Waste Management Act of 27 April 2001 (Journal of Laws No. 62, item 628 as
amended),
7. Building the protection of underground utilities network colliding with the earthwork,
3
8. Designing terminals and relocations for the utilities which collide with the excavation; obtaining construction
permit and completing these works,
9. performing hydrological and geological surveys for the design purposes as well as preparing documentation
and the geological and engineer’s opinion,
10. Soil replacement, compacting and stabilisation,
11. Plant inventory within the survey area and tree and shrub clearing or replanting,
12. Assessing technical condition of the buildings neighbouring the planned investment so that no possible claims
are laid against the Investor,
13. Monitoring the technical condition of neighbouring buildings while performing earth, shoring, and drainage
works by means of establishing three-way controlled measuring points ,
14. Conducting full and preliminary archaeological rescue excavations, archaeological and architectural surveys as
well as archaeological and anthropological surveys to the following degree:
Obtaining the permission of the Lower Silesian Monument Conservator to conduct archaeological and
excavation works; moreover, preparing and delivering data and documentation necessary for the application to
be processed,
Removing a soil layer and treating the surfaces which are located near to the areas of the preliminary
archaeological survey,
Performing preliminary archaeological rescue excavations with full analysis of results being essential to begin
further investment stages,
15. Excavating an earthwork under a building and transporting soil with debris generated by the demolition of the
building foundations, which have been previously archaeologically and architecturally examined to obtain the
required foundation level of the building.
Here we would like to show how complicated it is to perform such works in order to justify our financial
expectations:
Removal of the outer layer of soil to expose and manually clear the surface elements that are to be
examined,
Removal of the backfill layer and the regulating course with brick and ferroconcrete debris so that the
investment area is available for archaeological and architectural survey (such works are performed with due
diligence and care to prevent the historic elements against damage),
Demolition of building remnants and their transportation to a dumping ground once the architectural survey
has been completed and appropriate conservation permit obtained,
Preparation of the area for further archaeological survey to examine possible remnants of older settlements,
Formation of a soil heap for an excavation deposit to be riddled,
Transporting soil with debris from the demolition of the foundations and other building remnants, previously
examined architecturally and archaeologically.
Thus, such works require constant and full readiness of equipment intended for earth works, despite numerous
stoppages being inevitable due to the specificity of the archaeological works. These works go far beyond the
scope of typical earth works in any construction excavation.
16. Removal of contaminated soil from the investment area and its utilisation with simultaneous replacement of
soil without bearing capacity following the previous preparation of the land recuperation project,
17. Shoring the earthwork walls with the Larsen’s walls or other wall types with the use of the latest construction
and technological achievements:
Larsen walls
4
If the vibration influence on the neighbouring buildings and networks is to be avoided, it is possible to drive
Larsen sections by means of forcing sheet piles into the soil, whereas the remaining sections – by resonance and
vibration method. The walls are anchored in the ground with temporary ground anchors or spaced with pipe
struts via steel top plates.
Diaphragm wall
Shoring the excavation walls by means of a diaphragm wall with spacing through struts and building sheet pile
walls under floors while performing subfloor excavation; or strengthening with ground anchors.
Berliner wall,
18. Shoring the foundations of neighbouring buildings – the method of jet grouting piles,
19. Installing the drainage system and draining the excavation with the use of temporary drainage system
composed of drainage pumps mounted in deep water wells; mounting water draining installation,
20. Providing to the investment area any utilities necessary for the temporary site facilities,
21. Continuous supervision by authorised sappers while performing earth and archaeological works; detecting
and disposing unexploded shells and bombs as well as their transporting for utilisation,
22. Providing professional protection of the construction site by a licensed security company. AKME - Zdzisław
Wisniewski works closely with national and foreign partners in completing construction investments throughout
Poland, particularly in Wrocław and Lower Silesia.
