From the Pastor’s Desk...
Thank you for your cooperation and prayers as we continue the renovation of our Church.
I want to thank those who congratulated me on becoming a chair person on the Bishop Abramowicz Seminary Advisory
Board. Archbishop Cupich wants us to focus on promoting vocations from the parishes and families here in the
Archdiocese of Chicago. Please pray for vocations from our parish.
In one year we will celebrate the 10th anniversary of the Consecration of our Adoration Chapel. We will work
together with the members of the Adoration Chapel Committee to have a sign up weekend, when we will be able to
commit ourselves to adore in our Adoration Chapel.
The office will be closed on Saturday, September 5th and Monday, September 7th, due to Labor Day.
There will be one Mass celebrated on Monday, September 7th at 9am in the Chapel. Happy Labor Day!

PEACE PRAYER SERVICE
Respect Life
The Pope and the Abortionist
Until there is peace in the world, our
prayers continue.
Every First Wednesday of the month,
at 6:45 pm, a Peace prayer service is
held in the Chapel.
The service includes praying the Holy Rosary, with songs and
meditations. Benediction of the Blessed Sacrament is offered
as the priest’s schedule allows. This is another wonderful
opportunity to spend time with our Lord in the Blessed
Sacrament and to pray for world peace.
Next Padre Pio Mass will be celebrated on Saturday,
September 19th at 7:00pm in the Church. We invite
everyone to join us.
Un aviso special per il mese di Settembre per tutti I fedeli
di San Pio, la Santa Messa mensile si celebrera’ Sabato
19es Settembre ore 7:00 pomeridiane.
Partecipate numerosissimi grazie.
Per informazione chiamate Teresa Helfand 773-763-0507
On the morning of April 11, 2014, the Holy Father
spoke to the Italian Movement for Life. Here is an
excerpt of his address: "Human life is sacred and
inviolable…. Every civil right is based on the
recognition of the first, fundamental right, the right to
life, which is not subject to any condition, of a
qualitative, economic and certainly not of an
ideological nature. … Therefore it is necessary to
reaffirm our solid opposition to any direct offence
against life, especially when innocent and defenseless,
and the unborn child in its mother's womb is the
quintessence of innocence. Let us remember the words
of Vatican Council II: 'Therefore from the moment of
its conception life must be guarded with the greatest
care while abortion and infanticide are unspeakable
crimes'. …I remember once, a long time ago, I
participated in a conference with doctors. After the
conference I greeted them and while I spoke to them,
one of them called me to one side. He had a package
and he said to me, 'Father, I want to leave this with
you. These are the instruments I have used to carry out
abortions. I have encountered the Lord and repented,
and now I fight for life'. He gave me all those
instruments. Let us pray for this good man".

przewodniczącego Rady do spraw Polskiego Seminarium im. Biskupa Abramowicza w
Chicago. Arcybiskup Cupich chce skupić się na budzeniu powołań głównie z naszej
Archidiecezji Chicago i Polonii. Proszę Was o modlitwy o powołania z naszej Parafii.
W następnym roku będziemy obchodzić 10 rocznicę konsekracji naszej Kaplicy
Adoracyjnej. Prosimy o przemyślenie i przemodlenie swojej gotowości zgłoszenia w jakie dni
i w jakich godzinach moglibyście adorować Najświętszy Sakrament. Zapisy te odbędą sie w
listopadzie w Kościele po wszystkich Mszach Św.
Biuro parafialne będzie nieczynne w dniach: 5 i 7 września z okazji Święta
