● FEAST OF CORPUS CHRISTI, Sunday, June 22.
Procession begins right after the 11:30 Mass.
As we enter warmer months, I want to address the
issue of summer apparel at Mass. The majority of our
congregation dresses quite well for Mass. It is obvious
that many people, whether they are in business attire,
business-casual, or casual attire take a great deal of
care and concern to select a wardrobe that is fitting for
Mass. While many people are tastefully dressed and
put a lot of care into their appearance, some aspects of
modesty continually present a real issue for our parish
community. Revealing garments can be a serious
distraction when they become a source of temptation,
shock, or embarrassment for the onlooker. For this
reason I would ask that you put great care into
selecting modest attire for Mass. In my judgment this
means that shorts, skirts, and dresses should cover the
majority of one’s legs above the knee. Men’s shirts
should have sleeves. One should use great discretion
with regard to women’s sleeveless shirts so that a
chaste and tasteful appearance is still presented;
perhaps wearing a sweater or shawl over the shoulders.
Open-backed apparel should be avoided. In the end
we each are on a journey that sometimes expresses
itself in the clothing we wear. Let us strive to build up
one another and our community by-mirroring the light,
love, and mercy of Jesus Christ.

Mass Intentions for 2015
Couples who will celebrate their Wedding Anniversary
next year are kindly asked to come to the office during
the month of June to reserve a date for the Mass of
thanksgiving. At this time we are only accepting Mass
intentions for the couples celebrating their Wedding
Anniversaries. Requests for all other Mass intentions
will be accommodated at the end of August 2014.

St. Mary’s Parish in Brantford
invites all present and former Parishioners to a special
celebration on October 4, 2014. The faith community
of St. Mary’s will be celebrating the 60th Anniversary
of the Church and the 120th Anniversary of the Parish.
There will be Mass at 5:00 pm followed by a dinner in
the Parish Hall. Tickets for the dinner will be: Adults
$25 and Children $10. For further information please

ATTENTION PARISHIONERS!
From June 30th to September 2nd our Parish Office will
only be open Tuesdays and Wednesdays from 10:00
am to 4:00 pm and Thursdays from 10:00 am to 5:00
pm.
During the summer months we will be publishing
our church bulletin 2 times: June 29th and August 3rd.
If you want to request any Masses for July and August,
please do so as soon as possible. The next regular
publication will be on Sunday, September 15th.

Intencje Mszalne na rok 2015
Pary małżeńskie, które w 2015 roku będą obchodzić
jubileuszowe rocznice ślubu i pragną zarezerwować
odpowiednią datę Mszy św., proszone są o osobiste
zgłaszanie się do kancelarii parafialnej do końca
czerwca. W tym miesiącu przyjmujemy tylko intencje
dla par małżeńskich, które będą obchodzić jubileusze.
Przyjmowanie ogólnych intencji mszalnych na
przyszły rok rozpocznie się przy końcu sierpnia br.
UWAGA!
W okresie letnim od 30 czerwca do 2 września
Kancelaria Parafialna będzie otwarta 3 razy w
tygodniu: we wtorek i środę od godz. 10:00 rano do
4:00 po południu oraz we czwartek od godz. 10:00
rano do 5:00 po południu.
W czasie wakacji biuletyn parafialny będzie
drukowany tylko 29 czerwca oraz 3 sierpnia. Jeśli ktoś
chciałby zamówić Mszę św. na lipiec i sierpień,
proszony jest o jak najwcześniejszy kontakt z
kancelarią parafialną. Kolejny biuletyn będzie wydany
dopiero 15 września br.

Od kilku już lat zagościła w kościele Św. Józefa w
Brantford piękna tradycja, że dzieci pierwszokomunijne wraz z rodzicami, ofiarowują „dar ołtarza”
do prezbiterium kościoła. W zeszłym roku dzieci
złożyły ofiarę pieniężną na zakup podstawy do
Paschału – tej świecy, która jest usytuowana przez cały
rok przy chrzcielnicy, a w okresie wielkanocnym i w
czasie Mszy pogrzebowych jest umieszczana w
bliskiej odległości Ołtarza Pańskiego. W tym roku,
dzieci pierwszokomunijne ofiarowały $ 670.00 na
zakup nowych świec adwentowych na parafinę. W tym
miejscu więc chciałbym z głębi serca podziękować
dzieciom pierwszokomunijnym i ich rodzicom za ich
ofiarność, szczodrość i dobre serca. Pragnę również
serdecznie podziękować młodzieży, która w zeszłym
roku przyjęła Sakrament Bierzmowania za ofiarę $
635.00 na zakup nowego krzyża procesjonalnego.
Wreszcie po długim oczekiwaniu krzyż ten dotarł do
nas i po raz pierwszy został zaprezentowany w czasie
uroczystości pierwszokomunijnej. „Bóg Zapłać” za
waszą dobroć i miłość do parafii św. Józefa. Wasze
dary będą służyć naszej parafii przez wiele lat, a
pamiątka przez was pozostawiona będzie przypominać
przyszłym pokoleniom o waszym przywiązaniu do
wiary katolickiej. Niech Bóg wam błogosławi i
obdarza wszelkimi łaskami.
A very sincere “Thank You” to the parents of the
children who received their First Communion this
year, for their generous donation of $ 670.00 for the
new Advent candles. For a few years now, it has been
a beautiful tradition that the First Communion
children, together with their parents, donate offerings
towards purchasing a gift to beautify the Sanctuary.
Last year, the First Communion children purchased the
stand for Paschal Candle, which matches our Altar
candles and will last for years to come. I would like to
express my deep appreciation for all your wonderful
and generous support and love for St. Joseph’s Parish.
Also a “Big Thank You” to our young parishioners,
who received the Sacrament of Confirmation last year
for their donation of $ 635.00. With their offering we
were able to purchase a new processional cross, which
matches the Sanctuary candles. We have waited for
this cross for a long time, but finally it had just arrived
before the First Communion celebration. Thank you
very much to all for your support. May God bless you
always.

SEEKING NEW ALTAR SERVERS
Young people who have made their First Communion
are invited to become Altar Servers in our parish.
There will be two training sessions on Tuesday and
Wednesday, June 3rd and 4th at 6:00 pm in the
church. Please prayerfully consider whether this
ministry might be appropriate for you and your child.

niewłaściwy do kościoła. Okażmy należyty szacunek
Bogu i jego Domowi.

Piknik zostanie rozpoczęty Mszą św. o godz. 12:00 w południe w Parku Rycerzy Kolumba przy
12 Catherine Ave. Nie będzie Mszy św. o godz. 11:30 w naszym kościele. Kuchnia poleca smaczne
jedzenie: kiełbasę, kapustę, golonkę, karkówkę, hamburgery, hotdogi, pączki, ciepłe i zimne napoje oraz
drinki. Ceny przystępne. Wiele atrakcji w tym gry i zabawy dla dzieci z nagrodami, występy zespołów,
losowanie nagród wejściowych, loteria oraz zabawa taneczna. Wstęp $ 7.00 od osoby, studenci od 14 lat
- $ 3.00 i dzieci do lat 14 BEZPŁATNIE. Prosimy zarezerwować ten dzień na wspólne spotkanie.

will begin at 12:00 P.M. with the Mass. There will be No Mass at 11:30 in our church. Lunch will
follow. We will be offering Pork Shoulder, Kielbasa, Sauerkraut, Hamburgers, Hot Dogs, Doughnuts,
Coffee, Tea and cold drinks. Many attractions including games for children, door prizes, lottery, dancing
and many more. Admission $ 7.00 for adults, students 14 and over $ 3.00 and children under 14 FREE.
