What is the graphics in communication?
International, universal language of images & designs
that enable transfer of
important information in all domains of our lives.
We use graphics i.a.
in management process & production process.

Graphic Sign vs graphic Symbol
• Graphic sign
carries any visual information.
• Graphic symbol is a sign
beeing graphical representation of something.

Features of signs & symbols
• Are used to build, save & convey
information in pictorial form.
• Have many advantages over written instruction:
Are concise.
 Are comprehensible.
 Don’t require knowledge of foreign languages.

• Their simplicity allows you to eliminate possible
errors of understanding.

Regulation concerning signs & symbols
• The shapes & patterns are regulated
by national & international standards.
• The most symbols are the same in all
countries, but some symbols are different.
• The signs and the symbols sometimes change.

& make it easier to move in a factory.
