~~GENERAL NEWS~~
NEW LIGHTING
We would like some volunteers to help in moving the
pews in the church to enable work on the lighting
scheme to go ahead. If you are available on Sunday
11th December after the 6.30 pm Mass please give your
name or contact number to Marvia in the Sacristy or
contact the Parish Office on 233519.
The Church will be closed from after 6.30 pm Mass on
Sunday 11th December until Vigil Mass Saturday 17th
December to allow new lighting to be installed.
All Masses will be in the Marian Room from Mon 12 Dec.

ST COLUMBA’S CULLODEN CHRISTMAS CAROL SERVICE
Wed 14 Dec 7.00pm - 8.00pm at St Columba’s
This will be a service of favourite Christmas carols, with
community singing, together with seasonal Scripture
readings. There will be festive food and drink provided
(mulled wine, mince pies, and other goodies).
Donations at the door – all proceeds go towards the St
Columba’s Building Fund.
ST COLUMBA’S HOGMANAY DANCE, from 9.00pm
until 12.30am. Come along to St Columba’s on
Hogmanay and bring in the New Year with us in style!

PRZEMÓWIENIE OJCA ŚWIĘTEGO FRANCISZKA
NA CAMPUS MISERICORDIAE (KAMPUS MIŁOSIERDZIA)

Istnieją sytuacje, które mogą wydawać się nam odległe, aż
do chwili, kiedy w jakiś sposób ich nie dotkniemy. Istnieją
rzeczywistości, których nie rozumiemy, ponieważ widzimy
je tylko przez jakiś ekran (telefonu komórkowego lub
komputera). Ale kiedy nawiązujemy kontakt z życiem, z
tymi konkretnymi istnieniami, które nie są już
zapośredniczone przez ekrany, wówczas dzieje się coś
mocnego, odczuwamy zaproszenie do zaangażowania:
„Dość zapomnianych miast”, jak mówi Rand; już nigdy
więcej nie może się zdarzyć, aby bracia byli „otoczeni
śmiercią i zabójstwami”, czując, że nikt im nie pomoże.
Drodzy przyjaciele, zachęcam was do wspólnej modlitwy z
powodu cierpienia tak wielu ofiar wojny, abyśmy raz na
zawsze mogli zrozumieć, że nic nie usprawiedliwia krwi
brata, że nic nie jest bardziej cennego od osoby stojącej
obok nas. A w tej prośbie o modlitwę pragnę podziękować
także wam, Natalio i Miguelu, bo i wy podzieliliście się z
nami swoimi bitwami, swoimi wojnami wewnętrznymi.
Przedstawiliście nam swoje zmagania, i co uczyniliście aby
je przezwyciężyć. Jesteście żywym znakiem tego, co
miłosierdzie chce w nas dokonać.
Teraz nie zabierzemy się do wykrzykiwania przeciw
komuś, nie zabierzemy się do kłótni, nie chcemy niszczyć.
Nie chcemy pokonać nienawiści większą nienawiścią,
przemocy większą przemocą, pokonać terroru większym
terrorem. A nasza odpowiedź na ten świat w stanie wojny
ma imię: nazywa się przyjaźnią, nazywa się braterstwem,
nazywa się komunią, nazywa się rodziną.

1. 6 stycznia w piątek o godz. 15.00 odbędą
się świecenia kapłańskie dk Andrzeja
Niskiego. Ze względu na ogólnodiecezjalną
uroczystość liczba miejsc w kościele będzie
ograniczona.
Osoby,
które
chcą
uczestniczyć w uroczystości proszę o
kontakt. Ofiary zbierane w czasie ogłoszeń
przeznaczone są na zorganizowanie
uroczystości.
2. Roraty dla dzieci we wtorki o godz. 17.00.
Dzieci przynoszą ze sobą lampiony.
3. Poświęcone opłatki na stół wigilijny, które
będzie można nabyć po mszy św. w
zakrystii. Ofiary przeznaczone są na cele
duszpasterskie.
4. Tradycyjnie ogłaszamy konkurs świąteczny
„Rodzinna
szopka
betlejemska”.
Wykonane szopki przynosimy w dzień
Bożego Narodzenia. Ogłoszenie wyników w
Nowy Rok.
5. Przy wyjściu z kościoła i w biurze
parafialnym są do nabycia bilety na BAL
SYLWESTROWY (godz. 20.00 – 2.30) w
cenie £20.
6. Nowe oświetlenie do kościoła jest już w
drodze. Prace montażowe rozpoczną się w
poniedziałek 12 grudnia i potrwają do
soboty 17 grudnia. W tym czasie msze św.
będą odprawiane w Marian Roomie.
7. W związku z montażem oświetlenia w
kościele potrzebujemy wolontariuszy do
pomocy w przygotowaniu kościoła do prac
montażowych. Musimy przenieść ławki z
głównej nawy kościoła. Pomocne będą
wkrętarki.
