~~GENERAL NEWS~~
NEW LIGHTING
We would like some volunteers to help move the pews
in the church, in order to enable work on the lighting
scheme to go ahead. If you are available on Sunday
11 Dec after the 6.30 pm Mass please give your name
or contact number to Marvia in the Sacristy or contact
the Parish Office on 233519.
Please not that the Church will be closed from after
6.30 pm Mass on Sunday 11 Dec until
Vigil Mass on Saturday 17th December. This is to
allow the new lighting system to be installed.
All Masses will be in the Marian Room
from Mon 12 December onwards.
THE VOWS OF THE CONSECRATED LIFE

at our grand Hogmanay Party in St Mary’s Hall,
on Saturday 31 December, from 8.00pm until 2.30am!
Live music from The Brothers Band and DJ Coli.

along something to eat and drink (no bar).

ST COLUMBA’S CULLODEN CHRISTMAS CAROL SERVICE
Wed 14 Dec 7.00pm - 8.00pm at St Columba’s
This will be a service of favourite Christmas carols, with
community singing, together with seasonal Scripture
readings. There will be festive food and drink provided
(mulled wine, mince pies, and other goodies).
Donations at the door – all proceeds go towards the St
Columba’s Building Fund.
ST COLUMBA’S HOGMANAY DANCE, from 9.00pm
until 12.30am. Come along to St Columba’s on
Hogmanay and bring in the New Year with us in style!
Tickets are priced just £5.00, in aid of the Church
Building Fund. Music is provided by John Gordon, and
there will be stovies & oatcakes and other delights all
night long! Please feel free to bring your own
refreshments! Tickets are now on sale.

St Mary’s Piety Shop is open on Sunday after the 11.00 am &
18.30 Masses. FUNERAL MASS CARDS, ROSARIES, CHRISTENING,

PRZEMÓWIENIE OJCA ŚWIĘTEGO FRANCISZKA
NA CAMPUS MISERICORDIAE
(KAMPUS MIŁOSIERDZIA)
30 LIPCA 2016 – cz.3.
Świętujemy fakt, że pochodzimy z różnych kultur i
łączymy się, żeby się modlić. Niech naszym
najlepszym
słowem,
naszym
najlepszym
przemówieniem będzie zjednoczenie w modlitwie.
Pozostańmy na chwilę w milczeniu i módlmy się;
stawiajmy przed Bogiem świadectwa tych przyjaciół,
utożsamiajmy się z tymi, dla których „rodzina jest
pojęciem nieistniejącym, a dom jedynie miejscem do
spania i jedzenia”, lub z tymi, którzy żyją w strachu,
przekonani, że ich błędy i grzechy definitywnie ich
wykluczyły. Postawmy w Bożej obecności także wasze
„wojny”, zmagania, które każdy niesie ze sobą, w
swoim sercu. Kiedy modliliśmy się, przyszedł mi na
myśl obraz apostołów w dniu Pięćdziesiątnicy. Jest to
scena, która może nam pomóc w zrozumieniu tego
wszystkiego, czego Bóg pragnie dokonać w naszym
życiu, w nas i z nami. Tego dnia uczniowie byli
zamknięci z obawy. Czuli się zagrożeni ze strony
środowiska, które ich prześladowało, które zmuszało
ich do pozostawania w małym pomieszczeniu,
bezczynnie jakby byli sparaliżowani. Opanował ich
lęk. W tym kontekście, stało się coś spektakularnego,
coś wielkiego. Przyszedł Duch Święty i języki jakby z
ognia spoczęły na każdym z nich, pobudzając ich do
przygody, o której nigdy nie marzyli.

zakrystii. Ofiary przeznaczone są na cele
duszpasterskie.
Przy wyjściu z kościoła i w biurze
parafialnym są do nabycia bilety na BAL
SYLWESTROWY (godz. 20.00 – 2.30) w
cenie £20.
Nowe oświetlenie do kościoła jest już na
parafii. Prace montażowe rozpoczną się
w poniedziałek 12 grudnia i potrwają do
soboty 17 grudnia. W tym czasie msze
św. będą odprawiane w Marian Roomie.
W związku z montażem oświetlenia w
kościele potrzebujemy wolontariuszy do
pomocy w przygotowaniu kościoła do
prac
montażowych.
Dzisiaj
po
wieczornej mszy św. o godzinie 18.30
musimy przenieść ławki z głównej nawy
kościoła. Pomocne będą wkrętarki.
Spowiedź przed świętami odbędzie się
w środę 21 grudnia w godz. od 18.00
do
20.00.
Będzie
możliwość
wyspowiadania się u trzech księży w
języku polskim lub angielskim.
