who helped with the
Tesco food collection at
the beginning of December – over 5000 kgs of
food was collected.
Unfortunately,
the
warehouse at Friarton
where some of our food
is stored suffered from
the recent flooding. Next
week (w/b18/1/16), staff
will be involved in clearing up after the flood, so
the Foodbank at Back
Wynd will not be open to
receive donations in the
morning. Churches are
asked therefore to either
deliver in the afternoon
or delay delivering anything collected until the
week after.
Despite the fact that
some food has been lost
to the flood, the Food
Bank is relatively well
stocked at the moment,
so there is no need for
any emergency appeal
for extra food.
Car Parking
The Parish Pastoral
Council now has responsibility for management and maintenance of the car park.
Recent monitoring
of use of the parish
car park has shown
that cars are regularly
being parked for long
periods of time, sometimes overnight.
If any car owners
have previously been
granted permission
to park please note
this is now revoked.
The car park is for
the use of parish clergy, parishioners attending Mass, other
services, meetings and
parish events.
Groups who are paying for the hire of the
Hall should also be
able to use the available car parking space.
Mick Houston has
agreed to take the lead
on this and issues relating to the car park
should be referred to
him in the first instance.
Please do not involve our clergy in issues relating to the car
park.
Mick is taking this
responsibility
with
the full support of the
clergy and the Parish
Pastoral Council.
