Ladies and Gentlemen, Dear Colleagues,
On behalf of the Scientific and Organization Committees, it is our great pleasure and privilege to
welcome you at the conference jointly organized by the Institute of Hematology and Transfusion
Medicine and Maria Sklodowska-Curie Memorial Cancer Center - Institute of Oncology, entitled
“Research-driven, multidisciplinary oncological care in Poland: sharing experiences to
foster collaborations between MD Anderson Cancer Center Sister Institutions”.
During the conference, our American and European partners from the MD Anderson Cancer Center (MDACC) Sister Institution Network will discuss the mission, structure, position in the national
health systems and research activities that their comprehensive cancer centers fulfill in the USA
and Europe. The meeting will also be an excellent opportunity to foster research collaboration
between our institutions. We have invited many distinguished researchers and experts from the
MDACC, Oslo University Hospital (Norway), DKFZ (Germany), Gustave Roussy Institute (France) to
present their latest research findings.
We wish you enjoyable stay in Warsaw,
Krzysztof Warzocha
