Priscilla. Weddings are not scheduled on Sunday.
BAPTISMS:
English Baptisms will be held on the second and fourth Sundays of the month at 1:30 PM. Polish Baptisms will be held on the first and third
Sundays. Attendance at Baptismal Preparation class is mandatory. Register by calling Rectory.

Spiritual Reflection
"I come to gather nations of every language; they
shall come to see my glory.” What a glorious day
that will be, when God gathers all people to
Himself! Did you ever wonder what it would look
like? Would we be ready for such a day? Do we
welcome people of all nations of every language?
Would we be comfortable with such a gathering?
God has created each and every one of us. He calls us to
live as brothers and sisters to one another. We don’t all
look exactly alike. We have different colors and physical
features and speak different languages. We have different
cultural backgrounds, too. Many of us are very good at
taking note of such things. Many of us would be
uncomfortable in the presence of many people who
seemed different.
One day I was in a large department store. Two Hispanic
men were there. They had brought their camera along.
The clerks were in turmoil, since none of them spoke
Spanish and the men didn’t speak English. A fellow
shopper came over and tried to help out with the
situation. It turns out that the men just wanted a battery
for their camera. They were trying to point to the
batteries, but the clerks were too excited to take notice. It
wasn’t enough of a problem to get all excited about.
Through lots of travels I’ve discovered that there are
more ways to communicate than using words. When we
don’t get all excited about the differences and look for
similarities, then we can discover how similar we are.
We’re not just similar, we’re sisters and brothers! Is it a
frightening prospect to us, that many of our sisters and
brothers don’t speak our language, or is it an exciting
possibility? It’s good for us to think of such things. Our
kids will know the answer to that question by the things
we say and how we relate with people who we see as
different. Our prejudices can very easily become theirs.
God wants all of us to be saved. He calls us into His
kingdom as well. Do you think He’ll judge our
worthiness by how many deeds we have done for the
people we like? Do you think He’ll be even more
interested in who we’ve brought along with us? Doesn’t
it make sense that God will be very pleased with our
efforts to carry out His work? This week, we can make
God’s work our work. We can try to look past the
differences and see similarities. We can invite sisters and
brothers we may never have noticed to join us in the
Kingdom of God. Have a good week!

GWARANCJA ZBAWIENIA
Kiedyś ktoś postawił Jezusowi pytanie: „Czy
tylko nieliczni będą zbawieni?” Wówczas
Chrystus Pan udzielił na to dwóch
odpowiedzi. Powiedział: „Przyjdą ze
wschodu i zachodu, z północy i południa i siądą
za stołem w Królestwie Bożym”. Uczta
w Królestwie Bożym jest otwarta dla gości
z czterech stron świata. Święty Paweł napisze
w jednym ze swoich listów: „Bóg chce, żeby
wszyscy ludzie byli zbawieni” (1 Tm 2,4).
Jednak Jezus stwierdza także: „Wielu będzie
chciało wejść, a nie będą mogli”. I aby zilustrować
drugą odpowiedź, przeciwną poprzedniej, Jezus
opsiuje „ciasne” drzwi, przed którymi kłębi się
tłum. Chrystus chce nam jakby podpowiedzieć:
„walczcie o wejście”. Te ciasne drzwi zostaną
w pewnej chwili zamknięte. Trzeba zatem wejść jak
najszybciej. Nie może być tu mowy o żadnym
spóźnieniu, o żadnym wahaniu.
Tak jak każdy ojciec czy matka cieszy się widząc
wszystkie swoje dzieci zgromadzone w domu
rodzinnym, tak i Bóg nie byłby Miłością, gdyby nas
traktował bez odpowiedzialności—jak rzeczy.
Przecież nikt nie może nikogo zmusić do kochania.
Chrystus umiłował nas do końca.
Zbawienie kosztuje, gdyż musimy często wyrzekać
się zła, którego tak wiele kryje się w każdym sercu.
Zbawienie kosztuje, gdyż tak wiele kosztowało
Boga. Dla naszego zbawienia stał się On
człowiekiem i poniósł śmierć na krzyżu. Zostaliśmy
wykupieni za bardzo wysoką cenę, bo za cenę Krwi
Syna Bożego—jak napisał św. Paweł. Czyż to, co
tak wiele kosztowało Boga, ma nas nic nie
kosztować?
Trzeba więc zacząć poważnie pracować dla swojego
własnego zbawienia. Nasze dni nie mogą być
pustymi stronicami w księdze życia. Nie ma taniego
zbawienia—bo Królestwo Boże kosztuje!

My warmest personal thanks to all parishioners who purchased a copy of my family cookbook. It
was heartwarming to receive your comments and best wishes. We sold 58 books after all of the
Masses and are well on our way to meeting our goal. A special thank you to Father Idzi for his
tremendous support. We were unable to be at all of the exits and realize that we have missed some

Registration for Religious
Education classes will be held after all
the Masses on August 28th and 29th and
September 11th and 12th.
The rectory office is prepared to take
registration for classes at any time. The
office has all the necessary forms that
need to be filled out. The fees will be the
same as in the past:
1 child — $160.00
2 children — $240.00
3 children — $290.00
There is also a $30.00 registration fee
that is required for each child.
Ideally, we would like to have the tuition
paid in full, but realistically, I know this
cannot be done by most families. I am
asking that the registration fee be paid at
the time of registration. The balance of
the tuition can be spread out in monthly
payments.
Religious Education classes are held on
Saturdays, from 9:00 until 10:30 A.M.
Classes will start on September 18, 2010.
We are also accepting registration for
any eighth grade or high school student
who has not received the sacrament on
Confirmation.

do przyjęcia rejestracji w każdej chwili.
W biurze można znaleźć wszystkie formy,
które należy wypełnić. Opłaty za program
są takie same, jakie były w poprzednich
latach:
1 dziecko -- $160.00

3 dzieci -- $290.00
Jest dodatkowa opłata za rejestracje,
która wynosi sumę $30 od dziecka.
Chcielibyśmy, ażeby opłaty za program i za

Zajęcia edukacji religijnej mają miejsce

Pierwszy dzień zajęć jest 18-go września, br.
Przyjmujemy rejestracje dla dzieci w ósmej
klasie lub w szkole średniej, które jeszcze
nie otrzymały sakarmentu Bierzmowania.
