The design upgrades several existing roadways north
and south of Weisswasser to autobahn standard, and
connects these with a newly built autobahn through
the reclaimed Nochten mine landscape. These
connections will provide a direct route from Wroclaw
to Cottbus and improved access to the study region.
The reclaimed mine will attract visitors to spend a
day on the beach, to boat on a large lake, or to enjoy
a first class concert in an amphitheatre under the
giant F-60 mining machine that carved the new
landscape. Visitors may come to attend the annual
glass blowing festival at the fair grounds, or to play
a round of golf after a meeting at the Conference
Center. Perhaps the visitor will take a walk or cycle
along the extensive network of interpretive trails that
lead through a new natural forest, wetlands, dunes,
and climb a new mountain for expansive views of
the mine.
Linear landforms and activity spaces radiate from
the Rathaus, establishing a symbolic link with the
political center of Weisswasser. This framework
for development is created on the north edge of the
mine in distinct districts of the sort Pueckler would
have created. Connection of these districts to each
other and with the new autobahn occurs via a new
parkway. The leisurely experience of the parkway at
slow speeds is contrasted with the much faster one
along the autobahn.
Amenities planned for the future Nochten mine
landscape will attract private developers, and provide
greatly needed jobs within a short time, and will
continue to strengthen the economy, ecology and
culture of the region, executing a framework
established early in the mining process.
Im Zuge dieses Entwurfs erfolgt eine Aufwertung
einiger bestehender Straßen auf Autobahnstandard
nördlich und südlich von Weiswasser, die miteinander verbunden sind über eine neu geplante Autobahn, die durch die zurückgewonnene Tagebaulandschaft Nochtens führen wird. Diese Anbindungen
ermöglichen eine direkte Verbindung zwischen
Wroclaw und Cottbus und erhöhen zudem den
Zugang in die Region.
Die zurückgewonnene Tagebaulandschaft soll als
neuer Anziehungspunkt agieren um einen Tag am
Strand zu verbringen, Boot zu fahren oder ein
Konzert im Amphietheater unter der die Landschaft
zerschneidenden Förderbrücke F-60 zu besuchen.
Besucher können das jährliche Glasbläser-Festival
auf dem Messegelände besuchen, eine Runde Golf
spielen nach einem Meeting im Konferenzzentrum,
einen Spaziergang bzw. Radtour unternehmen entlang
des weitverzweigten Wegenetzes durch neue
naturnahe Wälder, Feuchtgebiete, Dünen oder einen
neu geformten Hügel erklimmen mit weiten Aussichten auf den Tagebau.
Radial vom Rathaus ausgehend, erstrecken sich
lineare Landschafts- und Aktivitätsräume als symbolische Verknüpfung zum politischen Zentrum Weiswassers. Dieser Strukturrahmen, angelegt in ausgeprägten Bereichen an der Nordkante des Tagebaus,
orientiert sich in der Gestaltung, wie Pückler diesen
geplant hätte. Die Verbindung der Gebiete untereinander und zur neuen Autobahn erfolgt über eine neu
angelegte, landschaftlich eingeordnete Strasse, derren
Landschaftseindrücke bei Befahren mit langsamer
Geschwindigkeit im starken Kontrast stehen zu denen
bei Hochgeschwindigkeit entlang der Autobahn.
Geplante Annehmlichkeiten wie diese sollen private
Investoren anziehen, benötigte Arbeitsplätze schaffen
um dadurch die ökonomische und ökologische sowie
kulturelle Struktur der Region zu stärken.
Projekt ten przwiduje poniesie jakości niektórych
szos na północ i południe od Weißwasser do
standardu autostrady; połączy je nowa autostrada
wiodąca poprzez odzyskane tereny kopalni
odkrywkowej Nochten. Umożliwi to bezpośrednie
połączenie między Wrocławiem a Cottbus oraz ułatwi
dostęp do regionu.
Odzyskane tereny odkrywki Nochten staną się nową
atrakcją – można tam będzie spędzić dzień na plaży,
pływać łodzią czy posłuchać koncertu w amfiteatrze
pod dawnym mostem transportowym F-60
przecinającym krajobraz. Goście będą mogli brać
udział w corocznym festiwalu dmuchania szkła na
terenach targowych, zagrać partię golfa po spotkaniu
w centrum konferencyjnym, wybrać się na spacer
albo wycieczkę rowerową po szeroko rozwidlającej
się sieci dróg na nowych terenach leśnych, obszarach
bagiennych, wydmach lub też wspiąć się na nowo
powstały pagórek, skąd roztoczy się rozległy widok
na odkrywkę.
Linearnie ukształtowane przestrzenie krajobrazowe
i tereny czynnego wypoczynku rozmieszczone
zostaną promieniście wokół ratusza, co ma stanowić
symboliczne nawiązanie do politycznego centrum
Weißwasser. Takie ramy strukturalne północnych
krawędzi odkrywki odpowiadają w swej formie
planom Pücklera. Połączenie tych terenów oraz
dojazd do autostrady umożliwi nowo wytyczona,
wpisana w krajobraz szosa, zapewniająca więcej
wrażeń widokowych niż autostrada szybkiego ruchu.
Zaplanowane atrakcje winny przyciągać prywatnych
inwestorów, przyczynić się w krótkim czasie do
stworzenia niezbędnych miejsc pracy i w ten sposób
wzmocnić ekologiczną i kulturową strukturę regionu.
