WT2.10: Ecole Supérieure d’Ingénieur en Informatique et Génie des Télécommunications, Fontainebleau, France (ESIGETEL) Report Activities performed during the visit in Wrocław, Poland period: April 2-4, 2016 author: Przemyslaw Kazienko -1- Personal Information Prof. Katarzyna Wegrzyn-Wolska, faculty member of Ecole Supérieure d’Ingénieur en Informatique et Génie des Télécommunications, Fontainebleau, France (ESIGETEL) visited Wrocław University of Science and Technology in the period from April 2-4, 2016 order to participate in the meeting of International Advisory Board as well as carry out research and training activities in the field of computational network science. Information about Seminars There was no seminar given. Description of scientific activities Prof. Katarzyna Wegrzyn-Wolska is a member of the International Advisory Board for the ENGINE project. For that reason she was invited to the centre both to participate in the third meeting of this board that took place on April 3, 2016. Independently, she discussed with the team of Przemyslaw Kazienko and Michal Wozniak possible engagement in European projects in the field of social network analysis, big data, sentiment analysis and machine learning. Also, the exchange of data between ESIGETEL and WrUST was considered – ESIGETEL possesses an interesting data set – corpus with French textual content. -2- Information referring to the intellectual property IPR issues were not discussed this time. Description of the cooperation between universities and industry Even though both engaged parties try to find stronger overlap or complementarity for collaborative research, it seems that it may be difficult to launch real common project. Both teams promised to keep trying to find some other more realistic opportunities, especially within European project in H2020. Other activities NA -3-
