Successful learning-oriented teaching primarily hinges on providing equal opportunities for all students to make their own
sense of the world. What’s more, the 6 and 7-year-olds, both those who can and those who can’t read or write yet,
need to work smoothly together. It is possible when the teacher has many different resources at his/her disposal: stories
featuring Disney characters and real children, films, songs, playing cards, board games, and interesting tasks in the
course book. Meaningful, memorable and motivating stories make children smile, inspire their creativity and create
perfect conditions for a rewarding and successful lesson for the learner and the teacher alike!
A myriad of highly creative tasks based on new and all-time evergreen stories encourage students of different age and
ability to think critically and be creative. We’re all different and it is our greatest asset and yet it may be the greatest
challenge in the area of classroom management. This workshop will look at how to manage all the abovementioned
variety in the classroom and will feature stories and activities from the new edition of Pearson’s highly acclaimed English
Adventure course.

sprawdzianie szóstoklasisty. W związku z tym chcielibysmy przedstawić Państwu najnowszą publikację z
serii bestsellerowych repetytoriów Longmana wraz z cennymi wskazówkami jak najefektywniej przygotowywać
uczniów do sprawdzianu.

How To Challenge Young Teens Today And Develop Their Linguistic Skills
For Sprawdzian Szóstoklasisty Tomorrow, Mariola Bogucka (sesja dla nauczycieli klas 4-6 szkoły
podstawowej)
Young teens love talking to other teens (in Polish, of course!). However, they don’t particularly like reading or writing.
They need to stay active all the time, otherwise they switch off or become disruptive. Young teens vary:9/10-yearolds together, mixed levels of motivation, intellectual ability and English. All in all, a mixed-ability class
and sprawdzian szóstoklasisty on the horizon make lesson planning rather challenging.
Let’s reverse the situation. Let’s challenge our students instead! We can challenge our students by organising
tasks, which apart from developing students’ linguistic abilities, challenge them intellectually. This workshop will focus on
activities that improve students’ thinking skills and awareness of what and how they are learning. Young teens will
soon realise that memorising new words and structures is important but not enough to master a foreign language. The
workshop will feature material from Pearson’s brand new upper primary course Today, whose structure and content have
been especially developed to tackle the issues of dealing with young teens: their psychological needs and learner
differences.
