part of the ongoing “Grotowski Year,"
the commemoration of the works of
Jerzy Grotowski (1933-1999) and the celebration of his heritage at the occasion
of the 10th anniversary of his death. The

“Survival: Young Art in Extreme Conditions Review" is an annual contemporary art festival and it provides an
important opportunity for young artists
to present their works. This year, the
festival utilizes 4 domes around the WFF,
the former feature film studio building.

With the keyword “Against Cultural
Exile," each year Brave Festival brings to
Wrocław traditional performing artists
and musicians from all over the world.
This year’s focus is “Payers of the World,"
and the main feature is the presentation
of various traditional rites of religiosity
or spirituality. The program includes:
a Zikr ritual by a women’s group from
Georgia, a Tanzanian libation ritual, Korean mudang rituals, Corsican religious
polyphonies, and also, from the UNESCO
Intangible Cultural Heritage List, healing
dance from Malawi, Ahellil chants of the
Berbers of Algeria, and the Azer songs
