Programme of the conference: New perspectives for dialogue The model of deliberation and ICT tools in decision-making processes the 28th of May, 2014 Registration (8:30am-9:30am) Session 1. Plan and draw conclusions from a debate (9:30am-11:30am). The session concerns issues like different approaches to registration and anonymity in public consultations and their social consequences as well as the analysis of the abundant text/voice material to draw conclusions for public policies. Chair: Anna Przybylska (University of Warsaw) Wojciech Wiewiórowski (Inspector General for the Protection of Personal Data), 'I THINK THAT…' – on anonymity and its limits in online public debates Jacek Haman (University of Warsaw), Between research and public consultations Franco Accordino (Head of the Task Force “Digital Futures”, the European Commission), Policy making 3.0: combining people's views and scientific evidence to enable better policy decisions Coffee break (11:30am-12:00am) Session 2. Be creative and solve problems online (12:00am-2:00pm). The session addresses the use of ICT tools and the social creativity in solving public policy problems. We will also reflect on conditions for public deliberation online. The focus is on the software that would help local authorities to enhance planning of public consultations. There is a possibility to choose a topic of the workshop between: 1. anonymity and 2. social and political representation. Both themes refer to online debates. Workshop on anonymity moderated by Tomasz Kulisiewicz (MIT company) and Maja Sawicka (University of Warsaw) Workshop on social and political representation moderated by Wojciech Rafałowski (University of Warsaw) The simultaneous English-Polish translation will be provided during the event.
