ABOUT LOCATION
The architecture of the Nowa Huta centre is quite homogeneous and, despite the ever changing development plans, the
original concept of the main designer Tadeusz Ptaszycki has been retained. The project combines the most important features
of an ideal city and a garden city. The buildings and the layout of Centralny Square and its vicinity refer to Renaissance,
Baroque, Classicism and also modernism. The buildings around Centralny Square have four or five storeys. Moving further
away from the centre, the height of the buildings decreases.
