Step by step configuration

1. About
Telemetry Motitor is application written for devices working under control of
Windows Phone 7.5 and higher. Data displayed on screen is transimtted via
WLAN connection - server application is written as ETS2 plugin.
At this stage of development application is still in beta phase and contains
following features:






Analog mode
OBD mode
WLAN network scanner
Settings
Limited driver's assistant
Control of ingame truck using configurable on-screen buttons.
Considering fact that this application is still in active developement phase, it
may contain numerous bugs and run more or less stable.

2. Instalation
Installation on phone is simple and takes only few moments. If you already
have been installing apps using QR Code you may skip this description and
move to image.
ATTENTION: Due to Windows Phone Store beta testing rules, you have to send
me your e-mail that is binded to your WP device. Then I'll be able to unlock
download for your account. Contact me using telemetry@[email protected]
1. Check if you have active internet connection - WLAN or cellular.
2. Touch lens icon at bottom-left corner of your device. The bing search will
start.
3. Touch eye icon at bottom of screen - Bing Vision will start.
4. Look at image below thru camera's lens and wait for device to scan and
translate it to URL address.
5. Touch on generated link - you'll be redirected to Windows Phone Store.
ATTENTION: If you have Cortana enabled you won't see bing search. To start
Bing Vision follow steps below:
1. Open default (Microsoft's) camera application.
2. Tap on second icon from upper row - it'll show lenses menu. Now select
Bing Vision and follow steps 4 and 5 from above.
3. Network configuration
Application is already installed on your device, but you also need a plugin for
Euro Truck Simulator 2 to transmit data.
ATTENTION: Described plugin requires additional libraries. In order to work
properly, you need to install Microsoft Visual Studio 2012 C++ Redistributable
(obligatory in x86 version and optionally x64 if you have installed 64bit OS) as
well as Microsoft .NET Framework 4.5.

Unpack archive and put *.dll file in plugins directory which should be
placed in ETS2 directory (the one with eurotrucks2.exe file). If plugins
directory does not exist, you'll have to create it. Example of path:
F:\Gry\Euro Truck Simulator 2\bin\win_x86\plugins
4. Connect to the game
We already have installed application and server - now we can start using
Telemetry Monitor.
ATTENTION: If server will be blocked by Windows Firewall/Defender you
should allow it to use networking features by clicking allow in appropriate
dialog box.
Step 1: Know your IP address
Open run dialog by pressing Windows + R key combination. Now type in cmd
and press ok. Command prompt should launch:
Type in ipconfig command - your operating system will show us connected
network devices and their addresses:
Our address is the one marked on red - the most common prefix in local area
networks is 192.168.1 or 192.168.0 but your may be different.
ATTENTION: Telemetry Monitor has WLAN scanning feature (Scan Network
button) – it shows all IP addresses running compatible server. In this case
choice is simplified down to double tap on our address. Because this app is still
in beta phase, this feature is still quite limited and may not wor properly under
some circumstances.
Step 2: Connecting
Launch Euro Truck Simulator 2 and choose your profile. Now type in your PC's
IP address, tap check button and volia! You are connected.
5. Using application
We start at following screen:
Here we can type in server's IP, move to settings or scanning and connect to
PC.
LAN Network scanning
The screen above shows WLAN scanner. Start with "start" button and double
click on choosen address to copy it to previous view.
Settings
At "general" tab we can choose application port (currently only 19000 works),
units and display mode.
At "assistant" tab we can configure drivers assistant. Currently only option is
upshift/downshift voice reminder. Value different than 0 will activate choosen
reminder.
Buttons tab allows us to configure on-screen control buttons. We can set up
two bindings to alphanumeric keys - Telemetry Manager will simulate pressing
them in game.
Virtual buttons screen
After connecting we will see view above. This is virtual buttons view - we can
control here engine starter, reset driving statistics (average fuel consumption,
session driven distance), add speed trap reminder (currently disabled) and two
configurable buttons. To move to telemetry just double tap the screen. To get
back here double tap again

6. Additional tips
 If game is installed on same partition as your operating system you may
have to start game with administrative rights in order to let plugin
operating properly.
