Jonahowi wydawało się, że ciemność to wielka
kołdra. Za każdym razem, kiedy gasi się światło,
ciemność spada na pokój i nakrywa go.
It seemed to Jonah that the dark was a blanket, so big
that whenever the light was turned off, the dark fell onto
the room and covered it.
Jonah nie widzi nawet koniuszków swoich palców.
„Gor, ja się boję” – mówi do starszego brata.
„Czemu nie jesteś taki śmiały, jak ja?” – pyta Gor.
Jonah rozpłakał się.
Jonah could not see even the ends of his fingers.
“Gor, I’m scared,” he told his big brother.
“Why can’t you be brave like me?” Gor said.
Jonah began to cry.
