BUS CONNECTIONS (WARSAW-BYDGOSZCZ)
From Warsaw, Okęcie airport.
You need to get to Warsaw city center:
by taxi (take a licensed one, e.g. 919 - with a phone number written on a cab, the cost is
around 30-40zl)
by bus (No. 175, direction: Pl. Pilsudskiego, get off at “Dworzec Centralny” bus stop; tickets
available from newsagents at the airport).
The coach departure point is next to main train station (Warszawa Centralna) on Al. Jana
Pawła II, not far from the Holiday Inn hotel. Buses leave every two hours from 6 a.m. to 7
p.m., the journey takes about 5 hours.
Ticket costs about 50 zł (normal ticket, about 12 EURO).
Once in Bydgoszcz, the bus stops near bus station in the city center.
TRAIN CONNECTIONS (WARSAW-BYDGOSZCZ)
The train leaves every 2 hours, the journey takes around 4 hours and costs 50 zł (normal
ticket, about 12 EURO). You can check connections on http://rozklad-pkp.pl (go to English
version). In Bydgoszcz you should get off at the main station (BYDGOSZCZ GŁÓWNA).

TANIE LINIE KOLEJOWE (TLK) - a fast train, depending on a type of the train you
may sometimes needs a fix reservation (MIEJSCÓWKA)
EXPRESS INTER-CITY / EUROPE CITY - the fastest and highest quality trains that
need a fix reservation (MIEJSCÓWKA) and is the most expensive one.
OSOBOWY - a local train that stops in every town. It is the slowest and least
comfortable train but the cheapest.
INTERREGIO - a fast regional train.
At the RAILWAY STATION (DWORZEC PKP) you buy tickets at the counter (KASA
BILETOWA) paying in cash or by credit cards.
TRANSPORT IN BYDGOSZCZ
To get to Student Dormitory No. 1 (6 Bartlomieja z Bydgoszczy Street, Fordon):
from bus station: take tram No. 1 or 3 in direction of Wyscigowa, get off on the last stop and
take a bus No. 72, direction Tatrzanskie, get off at Twardzickiego-Łochowskiego stop.
from train station: take a bus No. 93, direction Tatrzanskie, get off at TwardzickiegoŁochowskiego stop.
To get to Students Dormitory No. 2 (13 Jagiellonska Street)
from bus station: 15 minutes walk or one stop with any tram in the direction of old town.
from train station: take a bus No. 54, direction Dworzec PKS, get off at Rondo Jagiellonow
stop.
Normal ticket costs 2,60zl, with student discount (up to 26 years old, ULGOWY in Polish):
1,30zl. Tickets are the same for trams and buses. You may buy them in small news-stands
(KIOSK). Both buses and trams operate from 5.00 a.m. till 11.00 p.m. Remember that large
luggage needs an additional normal ticket. There are no traditional conductors on board but
your tickets will be frequently checked. You buy a ticket beforehand and punch it when you
board. Tickets used in one city cannot be used in another. The Polish university student ID
card authorizes the holder (up to 26 years) to discounts on tram, bus, and train tickets.
Taxi
If you decide to take a taxi try to order it by phone – it’s easier and cheaper than to look for
taxi stop. There are several taxi corporations in Bydgoszcz – try licensed corporations like
91-91, 96-64, 96-26.
