Dzisiejsza druga składka jest na DSF.
W przyszłą niedzielę, 7 września – druga składka
będzie dla chrześcijan z Bliskiego Wschodu.
Today’s second collection is for DSF.
Next Sunday, September 7th – the second
collection will be for Christians in Middle East.
I have presented the idea of having a “Polish Day”
on September 26, 2014 at the capitol highlighting
“Tekla Klebetnica” and “Wawel” to the Governor’s
staff and they loved the idea. We want to invite as
many Polish groups to attend that day to showcase
Texas Polonia and educate Texas citizens about our
culture. I realize it is a weekday, but if we start early,
we can inform as many people as we can to attend
and help support this opportunity. I am hoping to
have all Polish groups represented in Polish Folk
Costumes and banners identifying their Polish
group. To my knowledge, this is the first time that
the Polish community will be showcased in the
Texas State Capitol. I am hoping that “Wawel” from
Our Lady of Czestochowa will be able to perform
also that day.

LABOR DAY
W poniedziałek, 1 września, obchodzony jako
Labor Day, Msza św. zostanie odprawiona o godz.
9:00 AM.
JEDNA MSZA ŚW. PODCZAS DOŻYNEK
Jak zwykle podczas każdego festiwalu, także i teraz
podczas Dożynek, w niedzielę 14 września
zostanie odprawiona TYLKO JEDNA Msza św. o
godz. 10:00 AM.
ZMIANY W PROGRAMIE MSZY WE WRZEŚNIU
Z uwagi na niską frekwencję oraz liczne dodatkowe
zajęcia, (zastępstwo w jednym z kościołów w
Houston, Dożynki, appreciation dinner, rekolekcje
kapłańskie), w
miesiącu wrześniu wieczorna
Msza św. w piątki nie będzie odprawiana.
DOŻYNKI PARAFIALNE
Gorący apel do wszystkich Parafian o
zaangażowanie się w organizację 6. Dożynek,
które odbędą się w dniach 12-14 września.
Odpowiedzialnym za organizację dożynek jest
Krzysztof Króżel.
SLAVIC FESTIVAL
Ks. Paul Chovanec z kościoła St. Justin, zawiadamia, że
dnia 28 września, odbędzie się kolejny Slavic Festival.
Zachęca też Polonię do zaangażowania się w organizację
festiwalu.
ODNOTUJMY W KALENDARZU
Spotkanie rodziców i dzieci
przygotowujących się do
pierwszej komunii św. odbędzie się 7 września, po Mszy
o godz. 11:00 AM. Dzieci zostaną odpytane z modlitw,
których miały się nauczyć podczas wakacji oraz zostanie
zaprezentowany plan pracy na nowy rok.
POLSKA SZKOŁA
Nasza sobotnia szkoła rozpocznie zajęcia w sobotę, 6
września.
THE POLONIA HOUSTON MEMORIAL
Po pomyślnym zakończeniu projektu postawienia
pomnika św. Papieża Jana Pawła II, parafia nasza stoi
wobec kolejnego wyzwania, jakim jest estetyczne
wykończenie terenu wokół pomnika.
Teren ten
zostanie pokryty cegłami i tablicami z osobistą, krótką
inskrypcją zamawiającego.
Formy zgłoszeń na cegły i
tablice są dostępne w przedsionku kościoła, gdzie można
także zobaczyć wzory cegieł, jak również na stronie
internetowej parafii.
PRACA
Poszukiwani są opiekunowie (2 osoby) do 16 letniego
dziecka specjalnej troski. Szczegółowe informacje można
uzyskać w zakrystii.
LABOR DAY
On Monday, September 1st, we celebrate Labor
Day. Mass will be celebrated at 9:00 AM.
ONE MASS DURING THE HARVEST FESTIVAL
As usual during each festival, and now during the
Harvest Festival on Sunday, September 14 ONLY ONE Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 AM.
CHANGES IN THE MASS SCHEDULE IN
SEPTEMBER
Due to the low turnout and numerous extracurricular
activities, (replacement in one of the churches in
Houston, Harvest Festival, appreciation dinner,
priestly retreat) in the month of September
evening Mass on Friday will not be celebrated.
POLISH HARVEST FESTIVAL
This is an urgent appeal to all parishioners to
contribute to the organization of the 6th Harvest
Festival, which will take place on September 12th
14th. Krzysztof Króżel is responsible for the
organization of the Harvest Festival.
SLAVIC FESTIVAL
Ks. Paul Chovanec from the Church of St. Justin,
announces that on September 28th, there will be
another Slavic Festival. He also encourages our
community to get involved in the organization of the
festival.
SPECIAL CALENDAR NOTE
A meeting with the parents and children preparing
for First Holy Communion will be held on
September 7th, after the 11:00 AM Mass. Children
will be quizzed about prayers learned during the
holidays and will also be given the schedule for the
new year.
POLISH SCHOOL
Our Saturday school classes will begin on Saturday,
th
September 6 .
THE POLONIA HOUSTON MEMORIAL
After the successful completion of the project to erect a
monument to St. Pope John Paul II, our parish now faces
the challenge of aesthetic finishing to the area around the
monument. The area will be paved with bricks and
plaques you can order, imprinted with a short personal
inscription of your choice. Application forms for bricks or
plaques are available in the vestibule of the church.
WORK
We are seeking caregivers (2 people) to a 16 year old
child with special needs. Detailed information can be
found in the sacristy.
