Dear Stanowisko Osoby do której kierowany jest list,
This is not a demand, THIS IS A CRY OF DESPAIR – THE SCREAMS OF 150 000
ASSISTANTS FOR THE DISABLED. It is necessary that the European Union should
become interested in what happen to us.
Reports and declarations of the Polish side that are submitted to the European
Commission are idyllic, but the reality is not like these. It is the extermination in
white gloves, the extermination of the old ailing people and their carers who are also
mostly suffering and of advanced age.
We - the assistants for the disabled, the people living in the country that is a
European and democratic one, are begging for help. We are not able to do anything
on our own as we are ignored by the Polish government which disregard the
statements of the Constitutional Tribunal of the Polish government, human
rights and rights of the disabled.
The government of the Republic of Poland led by Donald Tusk, together with the
Seventh Term Sejm, the Eighth Term Senate with the approval of the President
Bronisław Komorowski, introduced the amendments to The Act on Family
Benefits on January 1st 2013. It deprived 150 000 assistants of their attendance
allowance and health insurance as of July 1st 2013. It sentenced them to a slow
death despite the fact that euthanasia is forbidden in Poland. While the
government count the cost of living of one of their residents at a rate of 3500
zł a month, our benefits in the amount of 520 zł a month are taken away.

620 zł a month is an attendance allowance
There is nobody we could ask for help. There are not any options left. We
lodged all possible appeals. Prosecutor’s Office refuse to deal with the matter and
the media does not want to publicize it.
Therefore, we are crying for help.
We all know that the countries of the European Union observe the rights of the
disabled sparing no expense over it. After all, the wisdom of the nation comes from
the wisdom of the old people.
We ask for the intervention. We are at the end of our tether. Many of our
dependants died and many of them will not have a chance to live to the case
closure.
There is also a letter, A cry of despair’ enclosed that we send to all the sides
interested: the government, the parliament, the society and the media.
However, our matter has not gained a deep understanding so far.
We are in possession of all the documents that we can make available to you.
We would be much obliged if you give this matter your urgent attention.
