Szlachetna Paczka
Co roku International House Katowice angaŜuje się w akcje charytatywne. W
tym roku zbieraliśmy dla konkretnych osób pod szyldem Szlachetnej Paczki.
Jesteśmy dumni i wzruszeni szczodrością naszych kursantów i
współpracowników. Dla wybranej przez nas rodziny trafiło kilka cięŜkich pudeł, w
które zapakowaliśmy ich świąteczne marzenia.
Listopadowe Gwiazdy Miesiąca
Znamy juŜ kolejnych zwycięzców Star of the Month. W
listopadzie wśród naszych najmłodszych Słuchaczy
najbardziej wyróŜnili się: Emilia (Pre-Flyers), Karolina
(Pre-Flyers), Hubert (G4), Cezary (G4) oraz Marta
(Movers). Rodzice tych słuchaczy otrzymają taką
dwujęzyczną Kartę Gratulacyjną.

Egzaminy Cambridge English-Sesja Wiosna 2015
Informujemy, Ŝe od 1 grudnia rozpoczęliśmy zapisy na
Wiosenną Sesję egzaminów Cambridge English.
Sesja odbędzie się w marcu 2015 roku. Kalendarz, cennik
oraz wszelkie istotne informacje znajdą Państwo w zakładce
Centrum Egzaminacyjne.
Dodatkowo mogą Państwo sprawdzić kolejne sesje
egzaminacyjne na cały 2015 rok.

SOPHIE
I have a big family and we always spend Christmas
together. My mum's father was born in Austria, where it is
traditional to celebrate Christmas on 24th December. So I
always spend Christmas Eve with my mum's family. We
eat and drink lots and we sing songs by the Christmas tree
- we have a lovely time!
In England it is traditional to celebrate Christmas on 25th
December, so we continue the celebrations! We have
another big meal and spend time with each other, playing
board games, watching films and having fun.
I always spend Boxing Day (26th December) with my dad's
relatives. I have some cousins who live in a city called
Sheffield, in the North of England. I live in the South East,
so they always drive down to visit us on Boxing Day. We
have ANOTHER big meal and give each other presents. It
is really nice to spend time with all of my family. I can't wait
to do it all again this year!
IZA
My Christmas is traditionally Polish. All family gather
together, we eat, eat and eat. We also sing carols and of
course exchange presents. This year is going to be special
because I'm having the Christmas Eve supper at my place.
I'm expecting 13 guests so it's quite a challenge! Luckily,
I've decided that everyone is cooking something and,
luckily, everyone agreed.
I think the most unusual thing about my Christmas is the
soup. It's really hard to explain what it is - it is very thick,
has mushrooms in it but it's not a mushroom soup. My
grandma brought it from eastern Poland where my
grandpa comes from. Only my grandma knows the recipe
so apart from being delicious, the soup is also top secret!
Another important tradition is putting some hay in one of
the pierogi. If you're lucky enough to find it (or eat it!), you
will have good luck all next year.
I am looking forward to Christmas this year as I usually do.
It's a shame there's hardly any chance for snow but... who
knows!
