In raising Jesus from the dead, God promises what
Jesus Himself foretold:
“Everyone who sees the Son and believes in Him
may have eternal life, and I shall raise them up on
the last day”. At Easter, God gives us a preview of
this last day. In raising Jesus from the dead, God
proves that good is more powerful than evil; that
death cannot snuff out life for ever, that love is
stronger than hatred.
We thank everyone for making the Holy Week
Services uplifting religious experiences. We
thank the International Choir, Sr. Matea, Agnes,
the Ushers, Altar Servers, Lectors, Eucharistic
Ministers, and the Rosary Altar Society who
decorated the Church so beautifully. We thank
everyone for helping in any way.
May the Risen Lord continue to bless and guide
our Parish Family.

CASINO NIGHT
April 17, 2015
Casino Night is a great way to have fun and
support a great cause! There are many
different games of chance for your
entertainment pleasure, or perhaps you just
want to practice for an upcoming trip to
Atlantic City or Las Vegas! Your goal is to
accumulate as many gaming chips as possible.
The chips are not converted into cash, but
rather raffle tickets for some great prizes. The
more chips you have, the more raffle tickets
you get and the better chance you have to
win!
When you enter Casino Night you will receive
$1000 in PLAY Money. This is then converted
into gaming chips at any of our tables. If you
run out of chips you can purchase additional
PLAY money and continue playing. If you win,
you cash out your chips for vouchers which are
then converted into raffle tickets for some
great prizes. Some of the prizes include a flat
screen TV, Samsung Tablet, Lottery tree and
Borgata gift cards.
We will also have 2 great cash 50/50s. There
will be refreshments, as well as, beer, wine and
soda available for purchase.
Tickets are $25 per person in advance, or $30
at the door. They are available at the Nursery
School or at the Rectory. Only 300 tickets will
be sold for this event. If you are interested in
donating a prize or sponsoring a table, please

OUTREACH PROGRAM
Since the kids will be home from school this
week, we expect to see an increase in requests
from their parents for peanut butter and jelly, tuna
fish, kid-friendly cereals, canned fruit, pop tarts,
and macaroni and cheese. I have a feeling if we
took the kids’ requests we would be asking for
jelly beans and chocolate in place of the above.
Sorry kids. The Mother in me says to go with the
parents’ requests; however, the grandmother in
me differs and takes your side....but it’s not going
to do you any good. We hope the Easter Bunny
has filled your needs and we will take care of your
parents.Our wish for you. May your home be
warm, your holiday's grand and your heart held
gently in the Good Lord's Hand.

EXPOSITION OF THE
BLESSED SACRAMENT
"Could you not watch one hour with Me?"
Exposition and adoration of the Blessed
Sacrament each Wednesday, from 6:00pm to
8:00pm. Silence and prayer spent in front of the
Blessed Sacrament is the best opportunity to
prepare ourselves to be open to the Lord's graces.

End of Life Decision Making
If we legalize assisted suicide, the pressure on people
to end their lives will dramatically rise. People with
terminal illnesses will feel as though they need to “get
out of the way” and not drain financial resources.
They will inevitably get pressure, subtle or not so
subtle, from relatives, health care providers, insurers.
They will be made to feel as though the very fact that
they are drawing breath is an inconvenience to
someone else.

"Why do you look for the living among the dead?
He is not here; but has risen" (Lk 24:5-6).
Dear brothers and sisters, let us not be closed to the
newness that God wants to bring into our lives! Are
we often weary, disheartened and sad? Do we feel
weighed down by our sins? Do we think that we
won't be able to cope? Let us not close our hearts,
let us not lose confidence, let us never give up: there
are no situations which God cannot change, there is
no sin which he cannot forgive if only we open ourselves to him.
Our daily problems and worries can wrap us up in
ourselves, in sadness and bitterness... and that is
where death is. That is not the place to look for the
One who is alive! Let the risen Jesus enter your life,
welcome him as a friend, with trust: he is life! If up
til now you have kept him at a distance, step forward.
He will receive you with open arms. If you have been
indifferent, take a risk: you won't be disappointed. If
following him seems difficult, don't be afraid, trust
him, be confident that he is close to you, he is with
you and he will give you the peace you are looking
for and the strength to live as he would have you do.

in all three languages.

Por la resurrección de Jesús de entre los muertos, Dios promete lo que ya Jesús había anticipado:

yo los resucitaré en el final de los tiempos”. En la Pascua,
Dios nos dá un anticipo de los últimos días, Por la resurrección de Jesús, Dios nos prueba que el bien es más
poderoso que el mal; que la muerte no puede apagar la vida
para siempre, que el amor es más fuerte que el odio.
Agradecemos a cada uno por hacer de los servicios de Semana Santa una experiencia altamente religiosa. Agradecemos al Coro Internacional, a la Hermana Matea, a Agnes,
a los Acomodadores, Monaguillos, Lectores, Ministros Eucarísticos, y a la Sociedad del Rosario del Altar que decoraron tan hermosamente la Iglesia. Agradecemos también

Matka Boża Wniebowzięta
"Dlaczego szukacie żyjącego wśród umarłych?
Nie ma Go tutaj; zmartwychwstał!" (Łk 24:5-6).
Drodzy bracia i siostry!
Dziś to pytanie skierowane jest także do nas. Dlaczego
ty, który zamykasz się w sobie po klęsce i nie masz już
sił, żeby się modlić, szukasz żyjącego wśród umarłych?
Dlaczego ty, który czujesz się samotny, opuszczony
przez przyjaciół, a może nawet przez Boga, szukasz
żyjącego wśród umarłych? Dlaczego ty, który straciłeś
nadzieję i ty, który czujesz się uwięziony przez swoje
grzechy, szukasz żyjącego wśród umarłych? Dlaczego
ty, który dążysz do piękna, do duchowej doskonałości,
sprawiedliwości i pokoju szukasz żyjącego wśród
umarłych?
Potrzebujemy powtórzenia i przypominania sobie wzajemnie napomnienia anioła! To napomnienie: "dlaczego
szukacie żyjącego wśród umarłych?" pomaga nam
wyjść z naszych przestrzeni smutku i otwiera perspektywy na radość i nadzieję. Tę nadzieję, która usuwa
kamienie z grobów i zachęca do głoszenia Dobrej
Nowiny, zdolnej do rodzenia nowego życia dla innych.
Powtórzmy to zdanie anioła, aby zapadło w nasze

“Teraz i w godzinie naszej śmierci”
Wytyczne dla katolików spisujących ostatnią wolę
Jeżeli samobójstwo w asyście lekarza zostanie zalegalizowane, to wówczas bardzo wrośnie nacisk na ludzi, aby
odbierali sobie życie. Ludzie znajdujący się w terminalnym
stadium choroby będą czuli się tak, jakby potrzebowali
“schodzić z drogi innym” i nie nadwyrężać budżetu. Będą
odczuwali mniej lub bardziej delikatny nacisk ze strony
krewnych, przedstawicieli służby zdrowia oraz ubezpieczycieli. Będą odczuwali, że są dla innych ciężarem.
SPOTKANIE KÓŁKA RÓŻAŃCOWEGO
Najbliższe spotkanie Kółka Różańcowego odbędzie się
w niedzielę 12 kwietnia, po Mszy św. wieczornej w języku polskim, w sali pod kościołem. Początek spotkania około godz. 18:00.

Whoever believes in me will live forever”
Today,
Easter,
we
celebrate
that
Resurrection, which gives us the promise of eternal
life! This is the promise we celebrate each time we
offer a Mass of Christian burial. This is why, at these
Masses, we use music which reminds us of Jesus’
promise.
Sometimes parents of very young children do
such a good job trying to explain the mystery of
death and heaven that the young child declares that
he wants to go to heaven “right now”. As a young
child, St. Terese of Lisieux made plans with her sister
to runaway to be a martyr.
Of course, this is not the correct solution.
The words of Jesus continue “whoever believes in
me . . .” We must believe in Jesus’ promise, trust in
his words, and do all we can to build up His kingdom.
While we do this, we should keep in our sight
this ultimate promise: “When Christ your light
appears, then you too will appear with him in glory.”
All this coming week, the daily Gospels are
accounts of the appearances of Jesus after his
resurrection, while the first readings recount the life
of the early Church after Pentecost. This is a great
week to attend daily Mass if your schedule allows.
I wish you all the joys of this Easter Season.
May the risen Christ capture your imagination and
live within you. ALLELUIA! ALLELUIA! ALLELUIA!
