naszej szkoły (Religious Education Center)
pomiędzy godziną 10:00 a 14:00 odbywa się
Kiermasz Ofert Pracy zorganizowany przez
nasz Program Pomocy Socjalnej.
Podczas kiermaszu obecny będzie min. przedstawiciel sieci sklepów Home Depot, który
prezentować będzie oferty pracy w lokalnych
sklepach. Przybędzie także przedstawiciel spółki
zajmującej się opieką nad chorymi w warunkach
domowych (Home Health Care) poszukujący
zarówno pracowników z doświadczeniem
zawodowym, jak i bez doświadczenia. Ta spółka
oferuje bezpłatne szkolenia zawodowe. Na
kiermasz przybędą ponadto przedstawiciele
Krajowej Grupy Rekrutacyjnej (National
Recruiting Group), Dunkin’ Donuts oraz United
Healthcare. Prosimy, aby przynieśli Państwo ze
sobą dowód tożsamości.

W dziesiejszą niedzielę 4 maja zapraszamy
wszystkich parafian do przyłączenia się do
krótkiej celebracji majowej ku czci Matki Bożej
bezpośrednio po Mszy św. o godz. 10:30.
Przejdziemy wówczas wspólnie w procesji do
naszego Sanktuarium, aby włożyć koronę na
figurę Matki Bożej. Bezpośrednio
po
zakończeniu ceremonii zapraszamy wszystkich
na ciastko i kawę/herbatę do sali pod
kościołem.

MSZA ŚW. RODZINNA w języku angielskim w naszej

czerwca o godz. 10:30 rano w kościele. Do udziału w tej

Przyjmujemy intencje mszalne na rok 2014. Ofiara za
intencję wynosi $15. Intencje nie mogą być przyjmowane przez telefon.
Zachęcamy do zamawiania mszy w dni powszednie w
języku angielskim.
Można również uczcić pamięć o swoich bliskich
poprzez złożenie Donacji na Chleb i Wino na dany
tydzień w roku 2014. Donacja wynosi $50.
Osoba mówiąca po polsku dyżuruje w kancelarii

THE THIRD SUNDAY OF EASTER
Once again, in looking at the readings for today, let’s
begin with the Gospel, since that happened first in time. We
hear the familiar story of the two disciples on the way to
Emmaus. They believed in Jesus, they wanted to continue to
believe in Jesus, but it seems that their faith was beginning to
waver. “. . . but him they did not see.” But Jesus was already
with them, coming to the rescue!
How often something seems hopeless, we pray about it,
although we think that even God couldn’t fix it. And an answer
appears that we never thought about, and never would have
thought about. When this happens, it is always a reminder to
me that God has all the answers, if we but trust him.
The two disciples only give us one of their thoughts . . .
“were not our hearts burning within us as he spoke.”
In the second reading, from the first letter of Saint Peter,
we are reminded that we were “ransomed with the precious
blood of Christ as of a spotless unblemished lamb”. This takes
us back to the words Jesus spoke to the two disciples in the
Gospel story. “Was it not necessary that the Christ should suffer
these things and enter into his glory?”
In the first reading from the Acts of the Apostles, we hear
Peter after he has received the Holy Spirit at Pentecost. There is
no longer any hesitation or doubt in his mind as he boldly
proclaims: God raised this Jesus; of this we are all witnesses.
Exalted at the right hand of God, he received the Holy Spirit
from the Father and poured him forth, as you see and hear”.
LORD JESUS, OPEN THE SCRIPTURES TO US;
MAKE OUR HEARTS BURN WHILE YOU SPEAK TO US.”
