EXPOSITION AND ADORATION
OF THE
BLESSED SACRAMENT
Wednesday, 6:00PM-8:00PM
First, the Holy Hour is not a devotion; it is a sharing in the work of redemption. Our Blessed Lord
used the words "hour" and "day" in two totally
different connotations in the Gospel of John.
"Day" belongs to God; the "hour" belongs to evil.
Seven times in the Gospel of John, the word
"hour" is used, and in each instance it refers to the
demonic, and to the moments when Christ is no
longer in the Father's Hands, but in the hands of
men. In the Garden, our Lord contrasted two
"hours" - one was the evil hour "this is your hour"
- with which Judas could turn out the lights of the
world. In contrast, our Lord asked: "Could you not
watch one hour with Me?". In other words, he
asked for an hour of reparation to combat the
hour of evil; an hour of victimal union with the
Cross to overcome the anti-love of sin.

OUTREACH CENTER
Again this Sunday our readings mention the importance of food and water. When Elijah despaired and
called out to the Lord, an angel provided him with
hearth cake and water to sustain him on his journey.
In the Psalm we sing “taste and see the goodness of
the Lord.” The body and blood of Jesus truly sustain
us through our life’s journey.
Our Outreach sees people who are turning their lives
around through the grace of God. Once homeless,
one man we know can now cook his own meals! God
is so good.
If you would like to be an instrument of God’s grace
this week our pantry needs are macaroni and cheese,
tomato sauce, canned fruits and vegetables and pencil cases/boxes. May God bless you!
EUCHARISTIC MINISTERS are needed to visit and
bring communion to our homebound parishioners.
Current Eucharistic Ministers who would like to visit
the sick and the homebound or those parishioners
who would like to become an Eucharistic Minister
and be a part of this vital ministry, please contact

NOTE: Parents of students advancing to Grade 7,
8 or Prep 6 will register in the summer, but must
return in September to meet with the Religious Ed
Director to receive Confirmation Requirement
forms and information. These interviews are
mandatory; students in these grades cannot begin
classes unless their parents have met with the
director.
Tuition must be paid at the time of registration. The
tuition fee for the school year 2015-2016 will be the
same as last year.

INTENCJE MSZALNE
Przyjmujemy intencje na Msze św. na rok 2015.
Ofiara za intencję wynosi $15. Intencje należy zamawiać w kancelarii parafialnej w godzinach pracy. Nie
przyjmujemy intencji przez telefon.
Można również uczcić pamięć swoich bliskich poprzez
złożenie donacji na Eucharystyczny Chleb i Wino na
wybrany tydzień . ($50) : w intencji osób żyjących
(z okazji rocznicy, urodzin lub w intencji dziękczynnej)
lub w intencji osób zmarłych.
Osoba mówiąca po polsku dyżuruje w kancelarii parafialnej w środy wieczorem w godz: 19:30-21:00 oraz

PROGRAM EDUKACJI RELIGIJNEJ

ZAPISY NA RELIGIĘ NA R. SZK. 2015-16

Zapisy będą odbywać się w dniach:
od wtorku 18 sierpnia do czwartku 27 sierpnia.
Zapisy prowadzone będą w biurze Centrum Edukacji
Religijnej we wtorki, środy i czwartki w następujących
godzinach:
-wtorki: 10:00-13:00,
-środy: 15:00-19:30,
-czwartki: 13:00-17:00.
W przypadku zapisów uczniów nowych (zapisywanych po raz pierwszy): Rodzice uczniów MUSZĄ
przynieść ze sobą Metrykę Chrztu Dziecka oraz jego
Akt Urodzenia. Jeżeli dziecko przyjęło już sakrament
Eucharystii (Pierwsza Komunia Św.), to wówczas
prosimy o przyniesienie zaświadczenia potwierdzajacego przyjęcie tego sakramentu.
Wszystkie powyższe wymagania muszą być
spełnione nawet jeżeli dziecko otrzymało sakramenty w naszej parafii. Nie dotyczą one uczniów
zapisywanych ponownie (tj. kontynuujących naukę
w naszym programie).
UWAGA: Rodzice uczniów rozpoczynających
naukę w klasach VII, VIII oraz Prep 6 zapisujący
swoje dzieci latem, muszą we wrześniu spotkać się
z dyrektorem Programu Edukacji Religijnej, aby
otrzymać listę wymagań dotyczących sakramentu
Bierzmowania i potrzebne informacje. Spotkania te
są obowiązkowe. Uczniowie, których rodzice nie
spotkali się z dyrektorem, nie mogą rozpocząć
nauki .
Opłaty za naukę należy uiścić podczas dokonywania zapisów. Będą one takie same jak w roku ubiegłym.
Wysokość opłat:
- za 1 dziecko: $ 120
- za dwoje lub wiecej dzieci: $ 150
- Pierwsza Komunia Święta (klasa II) : $50
(tj. opłata za fotografa i materiały
przygotowawcze)
- Bierzmowanie (klasa VIII i Prep 6): $85
(opłata za materiały, rekolekcje,
strój na uroczystość)

Man Ate the Bread of Angels . . .
Panis Angelicus (Ps 78)
Have you yet become saturated with the
readings about the Bread of Life?
How important is food to you? I recently
realized that I was eating everything I saw,
whether I was hungry or not. I began thinking
about the great number of cook books and diet
books that are constantly being written. Food is
very important to everyone! And dieting is
important to very many.
What would happen if every time we
wanted to eat something unnecessary we turned
our attention to the “Bread of Life”, and asked
Jesus to be our food? If we are hungry, or our
desire to eat is very strong, perhaps we can turn
this desire into a longing for the Eucharist.
Let us remember the words of Jesus: “I
am the bread of life, whoever comes to me will
never hunger, and whoever believes in me will
never thirst”.
And to be worthy of this food, let us be
attentive to the words of St. Paul in the second
reading: “Do not grieve the Holy Spirit of God
with which you were sealed . . .” He then goes
on to list many of the things which would grieve
the Holy Spirit. (Ephesians 4:30-5:2)
