ALTAR SERVER MINISTRY
Fr. Jan is training new altar servers and invites boys
and girls of the parish to contact him if they are
interested in this parish ministry. This is a great
opportunity to serve the Lord and our parish.
ST. MARY-ST. MICHAEL SCHOOL
…Shred Day is Saturday, November 5, at the
School from 9:00 am to noon. This is a great
opportunity to safely dispose of personal checks,
bank statements and other personal documents in a
safe, eco-friendly manner. Donation is $10 a bag.
…On Thursday, November 10, we will have
our annual Veteran’s Day Program at 1:30 pm in
the All-Purpose Room. Grade 6 will present the
program. All veterans are invited to attend. Lunch
will be served after the program.
Our annual Wine Tasting will be held on
Sunday, November 13, 500 Degrees on Main St.
from 5:30-7:30 pm. Once again the owner, Nick
Ecker, is donating the use of his restaurant and the
hors d’oeuvres for this event. All wines have also
been donated. This event is 100% profit for our
school. The cost is $25 a ticket. Please call Linda
Coppola at the school for reservations.
The Annual Festival of Trees will be held on
Saturday, November 19 at the school from
9:00 am to 3:00 pm. Vendors are still needed.

St. Vincent DePaul Thrift Shoppe & Food Bank
237 Roosevelt Drive, Mondays through Saturdays,
9:30am – 2:30pm. Donations of non-perishable
food and household items, and clothing gratefully
accepted. Proceeds benefits the food bank. $167
was collected from our donations box and will be
forwarded to St. Vincent’s. God bless your
generous hearts!
Polish Falcons Nest #208 monthly meeting . The
next meeting will take place on Fri., Nov. 4, at 6:30
pm in the Church Hall.
Catholic War Veterans, St. Michael’s Post #1562
6:30pm, pasta dinner with salad, bread, dessert,
followed by a movie. Next dinner, Tuesday,
November 8. $6 per person.
Monthly Pro-Life Mass/Rosary, Assumption

ST. MICHAEL CHURCH CHOIR
If you enjoy singing, please consider joining the
choir and singing for the Christmas Season. The
choir sings for the 4:30 Christmas Eve Vigil Mass.
No “audition required”. Please see choir director,
Marc Garafalo, after Mass or call the office and
leave your name and phone number.
REST IN PEACE
Please pray for the repose of the souls of Anthony
Puro (Oct. 20) and Marie Krezel Sicilia (Oct. 27)
buried at St. Michael Cemetery. May they rest in
peace.
PRAYER SHAWL MINISTRY
The Prayer Shawl Group has been busy crocheting
and knitting beautiful items to donate. They recently
donated 19 shawls and afghans to Smilow Cancer
Center and the Breast Center at Griffin Hospital.
They also provide baby blankets, car seat blankets
and hats for the children being baptized in our
Church. The Group meets every Tuesday morning
in the Rectory from 10:00 am until noon and
welcomes anyone who would like to join them. If
anyone has yarn they no longer need (even partial
skeins) the group would be happy for your donations
which can be left on the back porch of the Rectory.
