AGRICULTURE IN THE STRUCTURE OF THE ECONOMY OF THE COUNTRY SELECTED
ASPECTS

Abstract. The national economy structure is a discription of the relation – the most often
about quantitative character – between distinguished, according to some criterions,
elements of economy and the economy itself as well as the mutual relation between
individual units. This article presents the share of agriculture in creating the national
product, and the investment casesbeing acomplished, which is getting smallerevery year.
The number of people working in agriculture is not decreasing as it could be expected
adeqate to circumstances. Argumentations based on the statistic materials of the Central
Statistical Office shows lack of compactness between existing national economy structure
and the knowdlege about the patterns of the economic structure in the highlydeveloped
countries. The economy structure of our country compering to the economic structure of
highlydeveloped European Union countries shows some clear defferences.

Abstract. The problems of dairy production and selling in Lithuania are analyzed in this
paper. The changes of the number of cows, milk yield, as well as milk quality are analyzed
and evaluated in the paper. These are important factors influencing the state of dairy farms
and possibilities of their modernization. After the research, according to the program by the
firm “DeLaval” (applied in Sweden) the suitability of chosen dairy farms for the
implementation of progressive milking systems has been evaluated. It has been determined
during the research, which milking system (RTS, Tandem or VMS) is economically useful for
the implementation on a particular farm, depending on the number of kept cows and the
purchasing price of the milk.

Abstract. The infrastructure is a necessary part of economic growth. New technologies,
technical progress and production changes evolve crucial changes in economic and social
life. The public sector is responsible for the provision of the infrastructure services. At
present private sector is interested very actively in infrastructure development and
financing. Despite of form public sector retains as an active partner of investment process,
even in case of infrastructure projects that have been wholly financed by private capital.

Abstract. The act about using the agricultural lands to afforest was passed to accelerate the
process of conversion (transformation) in polish agriculture and to make possible a
creation of forests on agricultural ground. Assurance of financial compensation was to
encourage the owners of land to conversions. Unfortunately this act does not bring in the
expected effects.

Abstract. The newest regulations have introduced the changed definition of the legal
notion of farm, as well as in the conditions of liability of farm’s acquirer. The new
regulations considering agricultural real estate turnover has also came to the force causing
restrictions in real estate turnovers.

Abstract. The aim of papers is presentation of main problems of the mergers and
aquisitions’ on global and polish market, how and the methods of making the conections.
There are shown also overview of the transactions’ motives. It the description of
characteristic fature was executed was concurrent fusions also and take over. In the sum up
the influence of the globalization on the world economy was analised, and the positive and
negative results of made fusions were distinguised and take over.

Abstract. Presented work analyses issues of executing or cancelling of lease and rent
contracts by the receiver in bankruptcy. The author analyses legal and economic
consequences of sale of immovable for the lease contract, cancellation of lease contract
concluded on specified period of time according to bankruptcy law regulations.

TAX LAW AND EWIDENCE IN THE FARMS on choisen countries
Abstract. The basic goal of keeping records in farms is obtaining financial and production
information adjusted to real information needs that are formed as a result of special nature
and scope of activity of these entities. In the paper it indicates that the range and the way of
bookkeeping (evidence) in the farms remain also under the influence of financial law
regulations, which are in force at a given time and place, including tax law.

Abstract. European Union support programs like PHARE, ISPA or SAPARD can be the
first step in real structural and cohesion funds implementation to Polish socioeconomic
system. The task of these funds will be to reduce the differences between levels of ecology
development in particular regents of Europe. Scale of these funds will be the real challenge
for the selfgovernment of the regions.

Abstract. The article discusses a problem of partnership between universities in Poland
and industry. The authoress show necessity undertakes this co-operation in order to do
acceleration economic development country and inclusion Poland in circulation knowledge
economy. The article presents a model of co-operation of science world, business and
authority in order to do technology transfer. The paper describes benefits from
participation in these alliances for all partners, too.

Abstract. The aim of paper is presentation issues related with such problems as: fish
market organization in Poland, especially in range of management and distribution of fish
sources. There are presented current state of the fish market and various concepts of its
organization. There are described modern telematics technologies used in e-business (EDI,
GPS), pointing to useful their in building a modern information system for needs of fish
economy management.

Abstract. In 2004-2006 Poland’s fisheries economy restructuring may be realized using
EU funds. Scrapping fishing vessels is a priority and other activities are strongly
conditioned. Modernisation and rebuilding fishing vessels seems to be the most activities
because of necessity to use beneficiant’s financial means. Restructuring requires active
approach of potential beneficiants as well as cooperation not only from fisheries economy
institutions. Threats of restructuring results with changes of UE common fisheries policy
the state budget’s financial abilities as well as administration institutions organisational
opportunities, determination and ability of final benefitiants.

Abstract. Polish fish-processing works to work on UE-market must cope with high
technological, veterinary, sanitary and commercial requirements of common market. To
improve their competitivness they can use funds of SAPARD-programme. In westPomerania region in years 1999-2003 there were 218 to 228 plants in fish sector, while
only 13 of them have sent applications for co-financing for improvement of processing and
marketing of fish and fish products.

Abstract. In the paper problems with using e-shops in commerce of enterprises contained
with agribusiness were presented. Using Internet in Poland was compared with situation in
other countries of Middle and Western Europe. Types, advantages and disadvantages of eshops were discussed. Finally, Polish web shops and e-malls were researched.

THE IMPACT OF BORDER IN LOCAL DEVELOPMENT

Abstract. The article shows the results of research executed on borderland. To classify
studied communities the Tacsonomic Development Models was used. The 56
communities which laid in two administrative districts near border was examined. The
conducted audits revealed strong polarization of development, around two main growing
centres of the region. Despite of border position and having border crossing the part of the
communities has reached lower level of development than the other exemined
communities.

Abstract. This article presents foreigners’s part in managing of ground on the area of
westpomeranian voivodeship. The analysis includes all leasehold deeds between
Agricultural Property Agency and foreign subjects in westpomeranian voivodeship and all
sale invoices in 1993- -2003. There have been about 13 849 ha ground sold in those area
from 1993 until end of June 2003. Most real estate has been sold to Germans.

self-employment initiatives. Local communities as well as external funds might help in this
matter.

Abstract. In the article has been taken problem of the axiological principals valves
studying youth in the agricultural academy of Szczecin, the author based on an empirical
researches shows valves, attitude into authority and predominated ways of life of the
academical youth. As a result of the researches we know that students of the Agricultural
Academy prizes utilitarian values, which are means to achieve their purposes. Besides they
are very changeable about their attitude in the face of volues. Analysis of the results in the
rangl of attitudes in the face of volues, apprecjation authority and chooseu way of life,
shows that there is a tendency tosfrenghten consumptive pattern of life.

the cost of inventory as an asset. Cost accounting is integral to the matching process. As costing
was used more in internal decision making, it evolved into the broader activity of managment
accounting. This paper presents the cost accounting for dairy producers which links technological,
financial and marketing aspects of activity of the interprises.

VALUATION IN THE FOOD ECONOMY ENTERPRISES
Abstract. Establishing of the financial instrument value, at obligatory pricing by accounting law,
imposes use of financial engineering. The goal of the accurate measurement in accounting is
obtaining a truthful and precise picture. The use of this accounting principle concerning financial
instruments aims at their valuation as the balance-sheet day according to the fair value or the
adjusted cost of purchase (amortized cost). The article deals with presentation of the basic category
of financial instruments valuation under Polish act – fair value. This method fully corresponds
with the concept of current value which may be obtained from an active market.

Abstract. The paper presents the fundamental instruments of ecological controlling. The main
ecological instruments are: eco-balance, ecological cost accounting and control lists. The ecobalance is constructed by using the structure of Input-Output methods. The ecological cost
accounting splits the costs into inside and outside. The control lists provides with the generally
information about the ecological situation of the enterprise.

FINANCIAL CONDITION OF COOPERATIVE BANKS
Abstract. The paper presents classification of cooperative banks regarding financial
condition. Synthetic measure was applied as well as k-means method and as a result three
classes of banks were determined: of good, average and poor condition. 44 Cooperative
Banks are the object of investigations. The role of diagnostic characteristics fulfill
following variables: percentage change of the balance’s sum net, percentage change of
own funds gross, solvency factor, percentage change of the financial result, change of
shareholder number, offices number. Testing objects are spatially differentiated. Financial
sum quantity is not a variable determining in the first way financial condition of examined
banks.

Abstract. The private infrastructure projects are of high level of debts according to project
costs with insufficient covering by collateral on project assets and sponsors equity. The
main goal in infrastructure project financing is a use of project finance formula, the max
use of off- balance financing and max use of financial leverage. The loans are the main
sources of project financing, especially syndicated loans and World Bank Group loans.
Because of high level of risks the costs of investment costs financing are relatively
extremely high.

Abstract. The aim of the present paper is to examine the main impacts of the recent
developments on the management reform and management accounting systems by means
of a contingency framework. The empirical results are based on a survey among medical
staff on managerial level. We have found evidence that the changes in management
accounting practices are associated with shifts in the health care system and the legal
accounting environment as external contingencies. The paper reveals that in the
transformation process of health care institutions, the shaping of cost accounting and
management accounting is strongly influenced by the need for more detailed segmental
performance information.

MODELLING OF THE COMMON AGRICULTURE POLICY (CAP) – PARTIAL
AND GENERAL EQUILIBRIUM MODELS
Abstract. At the European Summit in Berlin 26 March 1999, the EU Heads of States
reached agreement on the Agenda 2000 package, which contains reforms of the European
Common Agricultural Policy. The Agenda 2000 reforms, which basically continue along
the same lines as the earlier Mac Sharry reforms (1992), have been prompted by a
combination of factors. On 26 June 2003, EU farm ministers adopted a fundamental
reform of the Common Agricultural Policy (CAP). The problem of agriculture and the
maintenance of small farmers in rural societies can neither be considered just as a sector
of production or in term of abstract and general efficiency criteria. Beside reasonable
social considerations for populations relying mainly on the agriculture sector, economic
criteria must be integrated with the net gains produced by agriculture because of its
"multifunctional" role: protection of biodiversity, food security against the volatility of
world trade, promotion of rural development, national cultural heritage, and maintenance
of the regional landscape. Very valuable in achieving that subjects are general equilibrium
models.

Abstract. The paper analyzes trends of regional agrarian sector systematic analysis and the
instruments of search for decisions. The possibilities of modeling methods and information
technologies application in determining regional sustainable development strategy are
revealed. The paper also presents the scheme of regional agrarian sector production from
cybernetic point of view and introduces the suggested methodology of agricultural
production processes integrated modeling at regional and farm level. The problems that are
to be solved in future have been formulated.

Abstract. In the paper the Malmquist indices are presented to conduct data envelopment
analyses (DEA) for the purpose of calculating efficiencies in production. The principal
option is the application of Malmquist method to panel data to calculate indices of total
factor productivity (TFP) change: technological change, technical efficiency change and
scale efficiency change.

Abstract. The aim of paper is forecasting using neural networks models and hierarchical
models for time series. The variable used in article related numbers of persons using
touristics and vacations lodgings in Szczecin. There are shown neural networks models
with differently hidden coats and two and three levels hierarchical models. There have
been valued mean absolute percentage errors for forecasts estimated using eight neural
networks models and seven hierarchical models.

Methods of statistic control of process applied in stock prices analysis on Stock Exchange
Abstract. In the article a problem has been taken up - could the statistic methods applied
in quality control of production process be useful in the analysis of prices and quantity
motion of the stock sold on the Stock Exchange. To answer this problem a possibility of
applying control charts to quotation of AGROS S.A. company was analyzed. Many
limitations were indicated in usage of these tools for such analysis.

of collecting stock exchange shares. Structure of trading system of stock exchange is crucial
from the point of view of investor. The possible educational use of the game is emphasized.

Abstract. The success of a subject who rules the economical system depends on his ability
to take decisions duly considering not only consistent patterns but the behaviour of a media
agent as well. The investigation problems of the influence of media agent in the systems of
the decision support are associated with the receiving status of this agent. The behaviour of
a person who decrees (PD) and the behaviour of a media agent are presented in this article.
The methods of the definite information of price establishment according to the state of a
media agent are presented too. The results of investigation can be applied to the reduction
of indetermination in decreeing project decisions.

of west pomeranian provinces. This model has been transformed for dual form. Solutions

extreme prices.

COMPANY LOCATION CHOICE ON THE BASE OF DETAILED METHOD
OF THE USEFUL VALUE ANALYSIS WITH APPLICATION OF SAVAGE’S
CRITERION
Abstract. Among the economical and mathematical method of acceptance and estimation
of managerial decisions one can distinguish ones created on the used value analysis
particular and general scoring as well as transport costs methods. In the practice there are
problems with company location. In order to ensure properly prognosis of location we here
to estimate location determinants. In this procedure one can use Weber’s models of
transport costs; own methods of used value analysis with the use of classic Walld and
Savage criterions and based on artificial criterions - multiplier and Hurowicz ones - general
model of company location choice. The paper presents general task description and
practical solution on the base of particular used value analysis with the use of Savage
criterion.

Abstract. In the article an analysis of agricultural production process has been made in
order to achieve factors, which decide of big repeatability of this process to acquire the
expected parameters of the product. It was indicated that not fulfilling the basic postulates
of the standard PN-EN ISO 9001:2001 by the process of quality management in
agricultural farms is the basic reason of small probability of achieving agricultural product
which will have parameters required by the client.

measurement and evaluation of economic efficiency of the
selected companies agricultural property agency with
application of some quantitative methods
Abstract. The aim of the paper is investigation of the financial standing of the companies
using some of methods of multi-dimensional comparative analysis. Into measurement of
economic efficiency were used Altman’s model and another multi-dimensional methods.
Discrimination analysis has been applied to dividing and classifying objectives of large
financial risk and companies of good financial condition. Based on the estimation function
were also positioned ranging from the worst to the best. For the analysis the following
groups of economical indices were used: financial liquidity ratios, financial leverage ratios,
activity and turnover ratios or profitability ratios (Bednarski 1998).
