WAITING Our Lord prefers to wait for the sinner for years rather than keep the sinner waiting one instant. —St. Peter Julian Eymard FAMILY CONNECTION Our family plays an important role in shaping us and forming our self-identity. In family life, we find a safe place to discover who we are and who God calls us to be. But sometimes the influences from outside our family can make us unrecognizable to those who know us best. These outside influences can lead us away from God, or they can lead us toward a deeper relationship with God. In today's Gospel, we see that the people of Nazareth could not recognize Jesus as the Son of God. They could know him only as the son of Mary. We hope that through our family life we will be encouraged to filter the many influences on our lives through the lens of faith so that we will become the person that God calls us to be. As you gather as a family, talk about the people and events that are influencing members of your family. Acknowledge that many of these people and events are positive influences, helping us be better people and leading us to a deeper relationship with God. Also acknowledge, however, that there are negative influences in our lives that risk pulling us away from God. Observe that Jesus was a person who allowed his relationship with God to be the most important thing in his life. This led many people to have faith in him as the Son of God. However, not everyone could recognize this about Jesus. In today's Gospel, Ask: Who does not recognize Jesus as God's Son in this Gospel? (some of his kinfolk in Nazareth) Observe that because of the people's lack of faith, Jesus could not perform many miracles in Nazareth. Conclude by praying together that our families will continue to help us follow God in our lives. (Loyola Press) ALTAR FLOWERS DONATED In Loving Memory of Reverend Joseph Kozlowski by Friends ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Though Art a Priest Forever “To live in the midst of the world without wishing its pleasures; to be a member of each family, yet belonging to none; to share all sufferings; to penetrate all secrets; to heal all wounds; to go from men to God and offer Him their prayers; to return from God to men to bring pardon and hope; to have a heart of fire for charity and a heart of bronze for chastity; to teach and to pardon, console and bless always-what a glorious life! And it is yours, O Priest of Jesus Christ! (Lacordaire) The 2015 Catholic Ministries Appeal Every gift makes a difference. PARISH GOAL: NUMBER OF PLEDGES PLEDGED TO DATE: STILL NEEDED: $ 41,000.00 96 $ 24,585.00 $ 16,415.00 FLOWERS FOR THE ALTAR If you would like to donate flowers in memory of a loved one, the donation is $75.00 for a basket of flowers. The intention for the flowers will be put in the bulletin and announced during the weekend Masses. Please contact the office if you would like to donate flowers for the intention of a loved one. THE PARISH ORGAN The organ in the church is over 30 years old and is in disrepair. It is no longer cost effective to have the organ repaired. We are in the process of looking for a second hand pipe organ that is in good condition. In the future, I would like to start a campaign to raise money to purchase a second hand organ from a church that is closing. May he rest in peace. Przegapione bociany Zdążyłam zrobić specjalizację i karierę, zdążyłam być w Tokio i w Paryżu, zdążyłam kupić mieszkanie i wyremontować dom. Ale nie zdążyłam zostać mamą. Żałuję - to spot reklamowy kampanii społecznej „Nie odkładaj macierzyństwa na potem”, której pomysłodawcą jest Fundacja Mamy i Taty. Akcja ledwo ruszyła, a już budzi wiele kontrowersji. Kobieta w wieku ok. 40 lat, w pięknym, stylowym i drogo urządzonym domu. Rozgląda się z uśmiechem dookoła, a w tle słyszymy jej myśli: „Zdążyłam zrobić karierę, pojechać do Tokio i Paryża, kupić mieszkanie, wyremontować dom”. I nagle uśmiech znika z jej twarzy, patrzy przez okno, a głos mówi: „Nie zdążyłam zostać mamą. Żałuję”. Po policzku kobiety spływa łza. To wszystko. A potem następuje burza… To sól w oku środowiska chrześcijańskiego. To ohydna kampania!” powiedziała oburzona dziennikarka Paulina Młynarska. - to męski głos w dyskusji. Cd. Za tydzień
