RCIA (Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults) is a process established by the Church for
individuals to become Catholic and receive the Sacraments of Initiation-Baptism, Confirmation, and the Eucharist. If you wish to become Catholic, or are a Baptized Catholic in
need of making your First Communion and/or Confirmation, please call the Religious
Education Office.

CHRIST’S PRESENCE IN THE WORLD
There’s a bit of a “missing link” in the first two
sentences of today’s Gospel from Mark. In the
first, the apostles return from having been sent out
on mission two by two (“one who is sent” is the
meaning of “apostle”). Their instructions were to
preach repentance, drive out demons, and heal the
sick in Jesus’ name. In the second sentence, Jesus tells them to
come away with him and rest a while. It would be nice for us to
imagine that, between those two sentences, a look of amazed
gratitude and pleasure crossed the face of Jesus as he hears of
the kingdom proclaimed in his name, and how they didn’t have
to shake the dust off their feet anywhere. They deserved a rest!
It might not be bad for us, when we gather together with Jesus
as the apostles do today, to do this kind of debriefing, allowing
the Lord to hear what we’ve sought to do in his name, our successes, our failures, our need to get away with him for a while
to be fortified for further work in God’s name. For we, the baptized, are not only the flock of Jesus Christ; through water and
the power of the Spirit we have also become the Body of
Christ, the presence of the Shepherd for the life of the world.
Reception for Organist Robert Wojcik - on Sunday, July
19th, after 11:00am Mass, from noon - 1:30pm in the school
cafeteria, to express personal appreciation to him on the occasion of his 10th Anniversary of dedicated service to our Basilica and St. Joseph School.

ST. ANNE SOCIETY - will celebrate the solemnity of St.
Anne on Sunday, July 26th at the 9:00am Liturgy. All members with their medals are asked to join us for Mass followed by
coffee and . . . a meeting in the school cafeteria.
This spiritual organization, in existence for over 100 years, is
continuing their membership drive and welcomes new members
especially mothers whose children were enrolled on the day of
their baptism.

July 22 at 7:00pm for our weekly Novena and Devotion to our
patron. Participation affords us the perfect opportunity to bring
our petitions before his image and have confidence in him as
our protector and intercessor and give him thanks for favors and
blessings received.

the Our Lady of Czestochowa Chapel) legibly to be read out
loud or silently during the devotion.

NATIONAL DAY OF ST. JOHN PAUL II
On Saturday, October 17th, there will be a National Day
Celebration of St. John Paul II at his Shrine, and former JPII
Cultural Center in Washington DC.
The JPII Foundation of New England is sponsoring a 3 day
bus trip to Washington, DC from October 16 - 18, 2015 to
participate in this joyful occasion. The detailed itinerary will be

ST. JOSEPH POLISH WOMEN’S CLUB
An organizational meeting for the annual Fundraiser will be

ST. VINCENT de PAUL SIXTEENTH SUNDAY MESSAGE
In this Sunday’s Gospel, Jesus tells his disciples to “Come
away by yourselves to a deserted place and rest a while.”
Vincent de Paul, a great man of action was also a
contemplative. His contemplation of God’s love overflowed
into practical love for the poor.
Please say a special prayer for the poor and forgotten, as you
place your gift in the Society of St. Vincent de Paul poor bin.
OFFICE OF RELIGIOUS EDUCATION
Registration for your son/daughter for the 2015-2016 school
year is continuing. The fee for one child is $35 and $55 for two
or more children. Early registration is suggested for planning
purposes. Forms are available at the entrances of the church or
in the sacristy.

The fee for Confirmation classes is $60 per student. A schedule
of class times will be available at a later date.

The Central MA Hospice is looking for kind, compassionate
and caring volunteers to join their team. Minimum time required to help with patient support, companionship, doing errands for patients, light housekeeping, visiting or reading, etc.

World Youth Day 2016 - Pilgrimage to Krakow, Poland July
19 - August 3, 2016. Every two years our young people gather
with the Holy Father in various locations. This tradition began
during the pontificate of Pope John Paul II and has grown in
popularity. The cost is $2500pp in double/twin or triple room
(includes all expenses with three meals a day). Deposit of $500 is
due at signing but not later than July 31st. Remaining balance is
due by January 3 , 2016. Applications available at the rectory.

nie potrzebują Pasterza, że sami sobie poradzą, a wtedy
często gubią to, co w życiu jest najistotniejsze. Gdy

dla polskiej społeczności. We wtorek, 21 lipca spotykamy się

W sobotę, 17 października w Sanktuarium św. Jana Pawła II
w Waszyngtonie. Powstałe muzeum, poprzez ogromny wkład
Rycerzy Kolumba, jest wspaniałym hołdem złożonym Janowi
Pawłowi II. Artystyczna aranżacja, wystawy i projekcje filmów
3D portretują osobę wielkiego Papieża w ujmujący sposób.

PIELGRZYMKA DO GRECJI
Śladami św. Pawła – Parafia Matki Bożej Częstochowskiej w
Worcester organizuje pielgrzymkę do Grecji w dniach 7 – 18
września 2015 r. Pielgrzymkę będzie prowadził ks. Piotr
Łabuda, Profesor Biblista z Tarnowa. Pozostało już tylko kila
wolnych miejsc. Zainteresowanych uczestnictwem prosimy

RELIGIA
Już teraz prosimy o zapisywanie dzieci na katechizacje
w przyszłym roku szkolnym. Opłata wynosi $35 za jedno
dziecko oraz $55 za dwoje lub więcej dzieci. Wcześniej zapisy
pozwalają nam na lepsze zaplanowanie pracy na następny rok.
Prosimy również zapisywać młodzież na przygotowanie
do Sakramentu Bierzmowania.
ŚWIATOWY DZIEŃ MŁODZIEŻY
Najbliższe Światowe Dni Młodzieży będą obchodzone
w dniach 19 lipca do 3 sierpnia w Krakowie. Koszt wyjazdu
$2500 od osoby pokrywa przelot i zakwaterowanie w dwu- lub
trzyosobowych pokojach, trzy posiłki dziennie. Przy zapisie
depozyt $500. Pozostałą kwotę należy wpłacić do 31 stycznia
2016. Formularze dostępne na plebanii.
