Celem seminarium jest przygotowanie prac magisterskich poświęconych
badaniu reprezentacji alternatywnych światów od ich pierwszego
pojawienia się do w literaturze i filmie do czasów współczesnych, oraz
adaptacji filmowych literatury „fantastycznej” analizowanych w
kategoriach przekładu intersemiotycznego./The seminar is devoted to the
study of representations of alternative worlds from their first appearance
in literature and cinema to the present times, as well as to cinematic
adaptations of fantastic literature analysed in terms of intersemiotic
translation.

forma zaliczenia:
Aktywny udział w zajęciach. Przygotowanie 1 prezentacji na temat
związany z problematyka pracy magisterskiej. Przedstawienie 2 części
pracy magisterskiej/ Active participation in the seminar, one presentation
on a topic relevant to the MA project, first draft of the introductory part of
the MA paper.
MA Seminar in LSP Translation

The seminar will focus on research into translating specialised texts, especially legal and
semi-legal ones. In the first stage, participants will mostly build on and consolidate their
knowledge of selected contemporary translation theories and appropriate research
methodologies. Moreover, discussions during the seminar group meetings will concentrate on
such issues as (the language-specific and culture-specific difficulties in) achieving
equivalence in LSP translation, translating terminology, strategies and techniques applied in
the case of translating LSP texts, using corpora in translation studies etc. Following the
introductory stage, students will prepare research proposals and work on individual MA
projects, devoted to subject matters discussed in the framework of the seminar.

Seminarium magisterskie: przekład specjalistyczny
prowadzący: dr Justyna Giczela-Pastwa
Celem seminarium jest pogłębienie wiedzy i umiejętności z zakresu prowadzenia badań nad
przekładem specjalistycznym, ze szczególnym uwzględnieniem przekładu zróżnicowanych
typów tekstów dotyczących prawa. W pierwszym semestrze uczestnicy poszerzają znajomość
wybranych ujęć teoretycznych i metod badawczych wykorzystywanych w analizie przekładu
specjalistycznego. Wśród omawianych zagadnień pojawią się m. in. uwarunkowane językowo
i kulturowo/systemowo trudności w osiągnięciu ekwiwalencji w przekładzie, terminologia,
strategie tłumaczeniowe w przekładzie specjalistycznym, metody językoznawstwa
korpusowego. W dalszej części seminarium uczestnicy pracują nad własnymi projektami
badawczymi, poświęconymi wybranym zagadnieniom poruszanym w trakcie spotkań
grupowych.
