Planned learning activities and teaching methods Number of ECTS credits allocated full time studies: classes: 30 2 Aims of teaching The aim of the course is to broaden language skills in a foreign language, which refer to the grammar and lexical forms, effective communication and openness to the challenges of today's job market. Student can precisely describe a person and city, fluently talks about daily habits, distinguishes political parties in the GB. Student can actively initiate and maintain a discussion and present effective turn taking. Reference to Learning outcomes of the course unit programme learning outcomes Student: P_W01 identifies the relatively advances structures of K_W08 the grammar and vocabulary forms, to the extent that allows the understanding of relatively advanced written and listening texts: radio review of TV program Are you British enough?, conversation about a new flatmate; P_W02 constructs clearely structured statements appropriate for the specific situations typical for everyday life: party, journey; Knowledge: P_W03 recognizes and applies forms allowing clearely and precisely introducing his/her own opinions about the people from the closest surrounding (topics most pople lie about, selfpresentation, description of every day routines, political parties in the GB, analyzing the answers to the quiz concerning the British culture, first impression and how to make it); P_W04 distinguishes differences in political systems of Poland and England; Student: Skills: P_U01 leads and maintains discussion on topics K_U03 Landscape Architecture, 2 Social Competences: related to politics and travelling (discussions about travelling, movies and books, Australia, planning a journey in Poland, everyday means of transport, taxies in London and New York); P_U02 uses correct, relatively advanced grammatical rules and lexical forms appropriate for the particular circumstances of everyday life (place of residence, luxurious guest house, sleeping and dreams, description of a recent party); does not make errors which cause misunderstanding; P_U03 constructs a short speech on given topics within the required/processed subject; political systems and parties; P_U04 prepares spoken and written presentation on a given topic, e.g. description of a friend, journey, house- using both formal and colloquial language; Student: P_K01 works independently on oral and written presentations, short forms (description, essay); P_K02 works in a team, solving simple tasks of reading and listening classesss, grammar and vocabulary classesss, and participates in the creation of scenes imitating real situations (at a party); P_K03 is aware of the importance of language in the modern world (professional work, travel, etc.); K_K01 K_K02 K_K05 Course contents Presenting yourself in interactions with colleagues at work.
