Landscape as a subject of various scientific disciplines. The concept of the natural landscape, and
changed. Typological classification of Polish landscapes. Stages and steps transform the
landscape by humans. Communities and synanthropic plants. Invasive plants. Landscape PhytoComplexes. Ecotones and their role in the functioning of the landscape. Islands, corridors and
ecological barriers and their function in the landscape. The Natura 2000 network in Poland.
Valuable types of protected and endangered plant associations in Poland.

The main aim is to develop skills to inventory of land and carry out analyzes a design problem in
many fields and to propose several variants of the solution on the basis of the conclusions made
by the student with the inventory and analysis, and then to choose the optimal variant of the
solution, due to the previously laid criteria (which results of the earlier analysis). Develop the
ability to present and defend their design solution in a public speech.

building codes and regulations. Choice of methods, processes and tools for design and technical
specifications depending on the subject and the size of the area selected for the study.

design process and to defend their design solution. Principles and methods of communication in a
professional environment and related - inter-cooperation. Public participation in the creating of
the landscape.

Irrigation systems, drainage and irrigation in the context of the law of Construction, the
applicable standards, design guidelines, maintenance costs, etc. An important issue at stake is the
selection of types of irrigation for the plants. A very important aspect is the use of rain water, its
storage, pumping systems and the control of humidity sensors.
