Programme and abstracts

The printed version of “Book of abstracts” will be included in conference kits.
Oral presentations
The time for oral presentation is 25 minutes and 5 minutes for discussion. The conference room will be
equipped with the computer (MS Windows) and the projector. Please prepare your presentation compatible
with Power Point 2010. We recommend also to have an emergency pdf version.
We kindly please the speakers to copy the files to the computer before the session. The files will be secured
and deleted after the conference.
Poster presentations
The poster presentations are divided in two sessions. The stands will be numbered consecutively according
to the order listed in the programme. The area for one poster can accommodate printouts of max. 65 cm
width and max. 135 cm length (in portrait orientation). The pins and adhesives necessary to mount the
posters will be available on site.
Accommodation
The conference will be held at the “Biały dom” Hotel (Paniówki near Gliwice, the Silesian region, Poland).
Participants should book their accommodation themselves and pay for it separately at the hotel. We expect
the majority of participants to stay in the “Biały dom” Hotel. Please contact personally with the hotel via email ([email protected]) and use “MACh 2016” as a subject of the mail to receive
a special price for the participants of our conference

Plane: The nearest airport is Katowice-Pyrzowice (KTW), ca. 50 km from Gliwice.
Train: The nearest railway station is Gliwice (ca. 10 km from Paniówki).
Local Bus Transport: The transport is carried out by KZK GOP (www.kzkgop.com.pl).
You can take buses from Gliwice, bus stop Plac Piastów
- no. 41, direction: Mikołów Nowa (ca. 30 minutes to Bus Stop Wygoda Skrzyżowanie)
- no. 669, direction Bykowina Grzegorzka (ca. 30 minutes to Bus Stop Paniówki Wiśniowa)

- no. 120, direction Szczygłowice Kopalnia (ca. 40 minutes to Bus Stop Wygoda Skrzyżowanie )
Please take into account that the nearest bus stop is ca. 1 km away from the conference venue (see map
below).

Best Poster & Presentation Awards
Eligible for the Best Poster & Presentation Awards are postgraduate (e.g., MSc, PhD) students that are first
author and personally present the poster or oral presentation at the conference.
The competition is divided into two categories:
- The Best Poster Award
- The Best Presentation Award
The Best Poster award will be given to the student with the most outstanding poster, whereas the Best Oral
Presentation award will be given to the student with the most outstanding presentation.
Conference publications
There is a possibility to publish presentation (oral or poster) in the open-access journal “Geochronometria"
(http://www.degruyter.com/view/j/geochr), following the regular reviewing procedure. We have a pleasure to
inform you that selected manuscripts will be published without a fee. We encourage the authors to submit
the manuscripts before 30th June 2016.
