another.” It is easy to love someone when they love us back.
But it takes courage to love someone when we feel unappreciated, used or feel our opinion doesn’t matter. It takes courage
to “love my neighbor” when he may be someone I don’t like,
someone I don’t know or someone who doesn’t look like me.

TRUE CHRISTIAN COMMUNITY
Can you imagine a world such as the
one put before us in today’s scripture readings? Communities of believers everywhere
would support and encourage one another and
be identified as Christians by the way they
love each other. It would be a world with no tears, no death and
mourning, no crying out in pain. “Behold, I make all things
new,” we hear the Son of God say in the second reading from
the book of Revelation (21:5).
Is this world of John’s vision only imaginary? Are these
faithful followers for whom Jesus prayed only a savior’s
dream? Today they are put before us as a worthy goal. How
much closer can we come to this vision of a true Christian community in our lives today?

Mark your calendar - Young adults of our parish together
with confirmands from six other parishes from this locale will
be receiving the Sacrament of Confirmation on Mon., May 2nd
at 7:00pm at Sacred Heart of Jesus Church, 18 East Main St.,
Webster.
May devotions - are deeply rooted in devotional practices in
the Christian World. It has been a spiritual heritage of this parish that during May we will sing the Litany to the Blessed
Mother every day with the benediction of the Blessed Sacrament. Devotions will be held Mon., through Fri., at 7:00pm, on
Saturday we will recite the Litany together with the rosary before 4:00pm Mass and on Sunday following 11:00am Mass.
Crowning of Mary-Tues. May 3rd 7:00pm. This devotion
is the highlight of the month of May. We invite the First Communion Class in their official attire, parents, parishioners, parish ministries, organizations, Children of Mary and Altar Servers to take part in this devotion in honor of Our Blessed Mother.

Jubilee Day for Youth - This Sunday’s “Youth Jubilee”
previews July’s World Youth Day in Krakow. Its theme from
Matthew 5:7, “Blessed are the merciful,” echoes Pope Francis’
warning that “the practice of mercy is waning in the wider culture.” In countercultural witness, therefore, “the time has
come,” says Pope Francis, “for the Church to take up the joyful
call to mercy once more. It is time to return to the basics and to
bear the weaknesses and struggles of our brothers and sisters.”
Jesus affirms the same in today’s Gospel. “As I have loved you,
so you also should love one another”, Francis concludes, “The
Church’s very credibility is seen in how she shows merciful and
compassionate love.” Jesus too asserts, “This is how all will
know that you are my disciples, if you have love for one another”. Thus mercy “makes young” the Church, the world, and
everyone. “Mercy is the force that reawakens us to new life
and instills in us the courage to look to the future with
hope”
DEVOTIONAL OPPORTUNITIES
Our weekly Votive Mass and Novena to our Patron will be
held on Wed., Apr. 27th at 7:00pm. We ask parishioners and
friends to join members of the St. Joseph Polish Women’s Club
to honor St. Joseph.
May 1st is dedicated to St. Joseph the Workman. While laboring as a carpenter, he was also the protector of child Jesus
and the Blessed Mother. We pray to our Patron to help us live
in love, harmony, peace and joy.
You may write your personal intentions on the petition slips
available in the Chapel of our Lady of Czestochowa.
Family visitation of the Icon of Divine Mercy should be a
historical event. It entails spiritual transformation of a family
and a profession of faith. The family not only opens the door of
their home but in the heart of those who dwell there. Please
call the rectory to set a time bring the Triptych into your home.
PARTNERS IN CHARITY
Thank you to all parishioners who have contributed or
pledged to the 2016 Partners in Charity Appeal. We have
reached 63% of our goal. If you have not as yet contributed,
please prayerfully return your gift in the weekly collection. As
Pope Francis recently shared, “The time has come for the
Church to take up the joyful call to mercy once more, corporal
acts of mercy. It is time to return to the basics and to bear the
weaknesses and struggles of our brothers and sisters. Mercy is
the force that reawakens us to new life and instills in us the
courage to look to the future with hope. Each one of us is capable of helping one another. This is our challenge & opportunity.
PILGRIMAGE TO ROME
To celebrate the 35th Anniversary of the St. John Paul II
Vatican Foundation, Msgr. Czarnecki will lead a group to
Rome and also visit Venice, Padua, Siena, Assisi, Florence,
etc., on Oct. 20-30, 2016. Obviously, the highlight of the trip
will be an audience with the Holy Father.
This trip is planned by the Vatican Office of JPII Foundation
for its members and therefore at $2,890 pp double occupancy it
is very reasonably priced. Flyers are available at entrances to
our Basilica or call the rectory for more information. Deadline
to register is April 30th.
Divine Mercy Devotion–due to First Communion on May
1st, we will pray the Chaplet to the Divine Mercy on Sun.,
May 8th at 3:00pm followed by Benediction. Let us all make a
extra special effort to participate and be benefactors of His
goodness, love and mercy. Let us dedicate this hour to pray for
our living and deceased mothers.
ST. JOSEPH SCHOOL NEWS
On April 13, 2016, our 8th Grade Spanish Class dined at the
Mexicali Restaurant in Webster. The students have been working on restaurant vocabulary and table settings, as well as ordering a meal and asking politely to have something brought to
them. The unit culminated with lunch at the restaurant, where
they were able to practice their recently acquired skills. They
were accompanied by Senoras Bergeron and Weaver and Senor
Skrocki.
A special thank you is extended to the staff at Mexicali for
their patience and understanding. Much gratitude to our server,
Amy Ramirez for making our experience such a pleasant one!

As spring time is a time for multi-celebrations you may want

MONTHLY ENVELOPE PACKET
You probably noticed and wondered why the order of the
monthly parish envelopes has changed. Beginning in May, the
Higher Utility and Energy Costs envelope will be collected the
first week of the month and the Parish Obligations to the
Diocese will be collected the second week of the month. This
change was made because the utility bills are due before the
diocesan bills.
Holy Rosary Sodality - is holding its annual membership
drive which is open to parishioners and friends, both men and
women. Installation will take place at the Annual Communion
Mass on May 15th at 8:15am Mass. If you are interested in
becoming a member or have any questions, please call Pat

Kitka (508)943-0201. This Sodality was organized in 1888 to
promote devotion to Mary by praying the rosary and also
supports the Children of Mary of the parish.
Friday Night Bingo - join us for an evening of friendship
and camaraderie in our school cafeteria. Doors open at 5:00pm
and games begin at 6:45pm. Members of the Knights of
Columbus will assist our players. Proceeds benefit the parish.

St. Vincent de Paul Message - In the Gospel today, Jesus
says “I give you a new commandment: love one another. . . .
This is how all will know that you are my disciples, if you have
love for one another. In the month of April, through your gifts,
the Society of St. Vincent de Paul brought the love and care of
Jesus to the poor by assisting many families, providing food
and money for utility and rent bills, etc. Thank You.

St. Joseph School Drama Club Presentation - will be held
on Sat., May 21st at 7:00pm or Sun., May 22nd at 1:00pm.

presentation of Alice in Wonderland, Jr. See Alice, one of literature’s most beloved heroines, in her madcap adventures.
Disney’s Alice in Wonderland, Jr. is a fast-paced take on the
classic tale. The ever-curious Alice’s journey begins innocently
enough as she chases the White Rabbit. Her adventures become increasingly more strange as she races the Dodo Bird,
gets tied up with Tweedle Dee and Tweedle Dum, raps with a
bubble-blowing Caterpillar and beats the Queen of Hearts at her
own game! A chorus of kids playing in the park, rock lobsters,
talking fish, royal cardsmen, unbirthday partiers, as well as a
group of mean-girl flowers, will thrill and amaze you.

PIĄTA NIEDZIELA WIELKANOCNA

„Oto przybytek Boga z ludźmi.” (Ap 23, 3)
Świętowanie Wielkanocy jest nie tylko
celebracją zmartwychwstania Chrystusa, ale
także zapowiedzią i obietnicą ostatecznego
triumfu królestwa Bożego na końcu czasów.
Jest to jednocześnie obietnica spełnienia
naszych najgłębszych tęsknot za miłością i trwałym
szczęściem. Jesteśmy zaproszeni do tego, by już tu, na ziemi,
zacząć wchodzić w tę rzeczywistość. Każda Eucharystia jest
objawieniem darmowej i nieskończonej miłości Boga. Możemy
ją przyjąć i pozwolić, by przemieniała nas ona wewnętrznie
i czyniła coraz bardziej podobnymi do Chrystusa.
KORONKA DO MIŁOSIERDZIA BOŻEGO
Najbliższa niedziela, jako pierwsza w miesiącu maju, jest dla
nas dniem szczególnie skierowanym na tajemnicę Bożego
Miłosierdzia. Z racji celebracji Pierwszej Komunii Św.
Koronka zostaje przeniesione na następną niedzielę,
8 maja. Nabożeństwo rozpocznie się o godz. 15:00. Postarajmy
się znaleźć czas w to piękne, majowe popołudnie, aby spotkać
się z Bogiem i okazać mu swoje uwielbienie i poprosić
o potrzebne łaski. Serdecznie zapraszamy.

BIERZMOWANIE
Po wielu miesiącach przygotowań młodzież z naszej parafii
przyjmie z rąk biskupa Sakrament Bierzmowania. Razem z nimi
w tym samym dniu Sakrament Dojrzałości Chrześcijańskiej przyjmą
jeszcze młodzi z sześciu sąsiednich parafii. Próba odbędzie się
w niedzielę, 1 maja o godz. 19:00 w kościele Sacred Heart.
Obecność kandydatów i świadków obowiązkowa! Celebracja
Bierzmowania zostanie odprawiona w tym samym kościele w
poniedziałek, 2 maja o godz. 19:00.
NABOŻEŃSTWO MAJOWE
Długo wyczekiwana wiosna nareszcie zawitała w nasze strony.
Wraz ze zbliżającym się majem możemy cieszyć się odradzającą się
przyrodą, powracająca zielenią przyjemnym ciepłem. W takich
chwilach nasze myśli kierują się również ku Bogu, który jest
sprawcą tych wszystkich, zadziwiających cudów. Doskonałą formą
wyrażenia naszej radości i zachwytu nad cudem stworzenia jest
Nabożeństwo Majowe, w którym uwielbiamy Boga wraz z Maryją
nasza Matką. Zapraszamy wszystkich, a szczególnie dzieci, na to
przepiękne, tradycyjne spotkanie modlitewne od poniedziałku
do piątku o godz. 19:00, w soboty wraz z różańcem o godz. 16:30 i
w niedzielę po Mszy św. o godz. 11:00. Na najmłodszych czekają
obrazki do kolekcjonowania każdego dnia.
ŚRODOWA NOWENNA
Jak w każdą środę, zapraszamy również i w tym tygodniu na Mszę
do Miłosierdzia Bożego połączoną z Nowenna do św. Józefa
i błogosławieństwem Najświętszym Sakramentem. W tym tygodniu
do procesji zapraszamy członkinie St. Joseph Polish Women’s Club.
Naszemu Patronowi poświęcony jest pierwszy dzień maja.
Uroczystość św. Józefa Rzemieślnika przypomina nam o ogromnej
roli, jaka odegrał Józef w życiu świętej Rodziny jak i w dziele
zbawienia, troszcząc się nie tylko o zaspokojenie potrzeb
codziennych, ale również i zapewniając opiekę i troskę małemu
Jezusowi i Maryi.
Wykorzystajmy okazję, aby prosić św. Józefa również o pomoc
w naszych rodzinach.
15 LAT POLSKIEJ SZKOŁY SOBOTNIEJ
Już od 15 Polska Szkoła Sobotnia troszczy się o rozwój
i utrwalanie polskiej mowy i kultury wśród naszych dzieci
i młodzieży. Z okazji obchodów Jubileuszu szkoła otrzymała nowy
Sztandar, który zostanie poświęcony dziś na uroczystej Mszy św.
o godz. 11:00. Bezpośrednio po Mszy św. zaproszeni goście
spotykają klubie PACC, gdzie odbędzie się ślubowanie na nowy
sztandar, wręczenie dyplomów uznania dla osób szczególnie
zasłużonych dla Polskiej Szkoły Sobotniej oraz występy grupy
„Piast”. Po części oficjalnej obiad i zabawa do godz. 18:00
PARTNERS IN CHARITY
Dziękujemy wszystkim, którzy w tym roku wsparli w już Partners in
Charity. Do tej pory zebraliśmy 63% sumy o którą zostaliśmy
poproszeni. Zachęcamy wszystkich, którzy jeszcze nie złożyli swojej
ofiary, aby rozważyli możliwość pomocy potrzebującym w naszej
diecezji. Papież Franciszek mówi, że nadszedł czas, aby jeszcze raz
odpowiedzieć na wezwanie do okazania miłosierdzia. To czas powrotu

PIELGRZYMKA DO RZYMU
Dla uczczenia 35 rocznicy powstania Fundacji Jana Pawła II, ksiądz
prałat Antoni Czarnecki organizuje pielgrzymkę do Rzymu, Wenecji,
Padwy, Sieny, Asyżu i Florencji. Wyjazd rozpocznie się 20
października 2016. Punktem kulminacyjnym będzie audiencja z Ojcem
Świętym. Koszt wyjazdu $2890 od osoby. Broszurki na temat wyjazdu
znajdują się przy wejściach do Bazyliki. Szczegółowe informacje
można również uzyskać w biurze parafialnym. Możliwość zapisu do
30 kwietnia.
LOTERIA
Dziękujemy parafianom, którzy zakupili kupony na Loterię i w ten
sposób wspomogli spłacania zobowiązań wobec Diecezji. Losowanie
odbędzie się w sobotę, 7 maja po Mszy św. o godz. 16:00 w kafeterii.

FESTIWAL PARAFIALNY
Potrzebujemy wolontariuszy do następujących prac: Wheelbarrow
Cheer, Loteria, utrzymanie terenu Festiwalu w gotowości i czystości,
Cornhole Tournament i Chicken BBQ. Prosimy o rozważenie
możliwości pomocy w organizacji tego wspaniałego wydarzenia i
kontakt z Leah Williams 508-523-4315 lub biurem parafialnym w celu
uzyskania bardziej szczegółowych informacji.
Kupony na loterię pieniężną są już rozsyłane do parafian. Pierwsza
wygrana - $3000, druga wygrana - $1500, trzecia wygrana - $750.
Dla tych, którzy zakupią kupony przed 1 maja okazja wygrania dla 5
osób dodatkowych trzech kuponów na loterię.

KOPERTY NA SKŁADKI
Uprzejmie informujemy, że od maja zmieniły się nieznacznie
koperty do składania ofiar. W nowym układzie koperty na koszty
utrzymania i energii będą zbierane w pierwszą niedzielę miesiąca a
koperty na Zobowiązania Diecezjalne w druga niedzielę miesiąca.
Zmiana jest spowodowana koniecznością zapłaty rachunków już na
początku miesiąca, przed zapłatą zobowiązań wobec Diecezji.
RELIGIA
Katecheza – zajęcia katechetyczne w poniedziałek, 18 kwietnia
o godz. 17:30.
Pierwsza Komunia – Próba do Pierwszej Komunii w środę,
27 kwietnia w godz. Od 15:00 do 17:30 w kościele w połączeniu ze
spowiedzią.
Uroczystość Pierwszej Komunii – niedzielę, 1 maja o godz. 12:30.
Bierzmowanie – Próba do Bierzmowania w niedzielę, 1 maja
o godz. 19:00 w kościele Sacred Heart. Obecność kandydatów
i świadków obowiązkowa!
