Boguszów – rynek Ratusz w stylu barokowym został wzniesiony na boguszowskim rynku w 1731 roku. Powstał on na miejscu browaru, który spłonął. Jest najwyżej położonym ratuszem w Polsce. Gottesberg – der Marktplatz Das barocke Rathaus wurde 1731 auf dem gottesberger Markt an der Stelle der abgebrannten Brauerei gebaut. Es ist das höchstgelegene Rathaus in Polen. Boguszów – The Town Square The Baroque Town Hall was erected at the Boguszów Town Square in 1731. It was built in place of a former brewery, which had burned down. It is the highest-altitude town hall in Poland. str ona 22 Brzeg – ratusz Drugą, obok zamku brzeskiego, wspaniałą budowlą jest zwieńczony wieżą ratusz o wystroju renesansowym. Został wzniesiony w latach 1570–1577. Projektował go włoski architekt Jakub Parr, który dozorował także przebudowę zamku brzeskiego i bolkowskiego. Wewnątrz ratusza znajdują się dwie wyjątkowe sale: stropowa, z zachowanym oryginalnym drewnianym stropem, oraz rajców, z zabytkowym wystrojem. Dziś mieszczą się tu władze miejskie i Urząd Stanu Cywilnego. Brieg – das Rathaus Das brieger Rathaus ist – nebst dem Schloss – das zweite hervorragende Bauwerk der Stadt. Das mit einem Turm gekrönte Renaissancegebäude wurde 1570–1577 nach einem Entwurf des italienischen Baumeisters Jakob Parr, der auch den Umbau des brieger und des bolkenhainer Schlosses beaufsichtigte, errichtet. Im Inneren des Rathauses befinden sich zwei außergewöhnliche Säle: der Deckensaal, mit erhaltener Holzdecke, und der Ratsaal mit einer sehenswerten Ausstattung. Heute befinden sich hier die Stadtverwaltung und das Standesamt. Brzeg – The Town Hall Besides the castle, another magnificent structure is the Renaissance Town Hall, crowned with a tower. It was built in 1570–1577, according to the design of an Italian architect, Jakob Parr, who was also the supervisor of the reconstruction of castles in Brzeg and Bolków. Inside the Town Hall, there are two unique halls: The Ceiling Hall, with the original, wooden ceiling, and the Councellors’ Hall, with the historic décor. Today, the Town Hall houses the municipal authorities and the Registrar’s Office. str ona 27 Chocianów – centrum miasta Chocianów (Kotzenau) był osadą położoną u podnóża zamku, którego budowę rozpoczęto w II połowie XIII wieku, na rozkaz księcia świdnickiego Bolka I. Prawa miejskie otrzymał dopiero w 1894 roku. Rozbudowa miasta miała swoje apogeum od II połowy XIX do początku XX wieku. W tym czasie powstało wiele inwestycji, m.in. system wodociągowo-kanalizacyjny, gazociąg, sieć elektryczna, huta, fabryka armatur żeliwnych, tartak, cegielnia, mleczarnia. Miasto otrzymało także połączenie kolejowe. Na widokówce: centrum Chocianowa z widoczną w głębi bryłą ratusza. Kotzenau – Stadtzentrum Chocianów – The Town Center Chocianów (Kotzenau) was a settlement located at the foot of the castle, construction of which began in the second half of the 13th century by the orders of the Duke of Legnica, Bolko. The Town’s axpansion reached its peak between mid-19th century and early 20th century. Numerous facilities, including the water and str ona 30 sewage system, gasworks, electrical network, steelworks, cast-iron fittings factory, lubmer mill, brickyard and dairy were established. Jh. bis in den Anfang des 20. Jh. Aus dieser Zeit stammen zahlreiche kommunale Investitionen: die Wasserleitungen und Kanalisation, Gasleitungen, das Stromnetz, aber auch die Hütte, Fabrik der Eisenarmaturen, ein Sägewerk, Ziegelei, Melkerei. Cieplice – pałac Schaffgotschów Do najważniejszych zabytków Cieplic należy – oprócz kościoła pw. św. Jana Chrzciciela, w którym znajdują się obrazy Michaela Willmanna – klasycystyczny pałac Schaffgotschów z XVIII wieku. Po zakończeniu II wojny światowej wyposażenie pałacu wywieziono do Warszawy oraz do Związku Radzieckiego. Obecnie mieści się tu filia Politechniki Wrocławskiej. Warmbrunn – das Schloss der Familie von Schaffgotsch Zu den wichtigsten Baudenkmäler Warmbrunns gehört neben der Kirche Johannes des Täufers mit Bildern Michael Willmanns das klassizistische Schloss der Familie von Schaffgotsch aus dem 18. Jh. 1945 wurde die gesamte Ausstattung von der Roten Armee ausgeraubt. Heute befindet sich hier die Filiale der breslauer polytechnischen Hochschule. Cieplice – The Schaffgotsch Palace Besides the church of St. John the Baptist, featuring the paintings by Michael Willmann, the Classicist Schaffgotsch family palace from the 18th century is one of the most important historical places in Cieplice. After the World War II, the palace equipments were moved to Warsaw and to the USSR. Currently, the palace houses the branch of Wrocław University of Technology. str ona 33 Duszniki Duszniki Zdrój (Bad Reinerz), położone w Kotlinie Kłodzkiej, prawa miejskie otrzymały w XIV wieku. Miejscowość zasłynęła z tkactwa oraz produkcji papieru. Znajduje się tu zabytkowa papiernia z początku XVII wieku, obecnie Muzeum Papiernictwa. Z czasów renesansu pochodzą ratusz i niektóre kamienice na rynku. W I połowie XVIII wieku kościół pw. św. Piotra i Pawła został przebudowany w stylu barokowym. Bad Reinerz Das im Glatzer Tal gelegene Bad Reinerz erhielt die Stadtrechte im 14. Jh. Der Ort wurde durch Leinenweberei und Papierproduktion berühmt. Hier befindet sich auch eine alte Papierfabrik vom Anfang des 17. Jh., die heute das Museum der Papierindustrie beherbergt. Aus der Renaissance stammen das Rathaus und vereinzelte Häuser auf dem Ring. In der 1. Hälfte des 18. Jh. wurde die Peter und Paul Kirche im barocken Stil umgebaut. The Town Hall and some of the houses in the Town Square date back to the times of Renaissance. In the first half of the 18th century, the church of Sts. Peter and Paul was transformed in the Baroque style. str ona 35 Dzierżoniów – mury obronne W Dzierżoniowe zachowało się wiele zabytkowych kościołów, z najstarszym pw. św. Jerzego, ratusz z 47-metrową wieżą oraz mury miejskie, których fragment przedstawiono na widokówce. Reichenbach – die Stadtmauer In Reichenbach blieben viele alte Kirchen erhalten, darunter die älteste St. Georg Kirche, das Rathaus mit einem 47 m. hohen Turm und die Stadtmauer, die auf der Ansichtskarte zu sehen ist. Dzierżoniów – The Defense Walls Numerous historical churches were preserved in Dzierżoniów, including the oldest one – the church of St. George. Also preserved was the Town Hall with the 150-feet tower and the city walls, fragment of which is presented on the postcard. str ona 38 Iłowa – pałac Iłowa (Halbau) powstała na rozwidleniu szlaku wiodącego ze Zgorzelca do Gubina i Żagania. Prawa miejskie otrzymała w 1679 roku. Jej właścicielami były rody Kotowiczów, von Schellendorf, von Promnitz i von Fürstenstein. Pałac powstał w roku 1626. Był wielokrotnie przebudowywany. Wokół niego na początku XX wieku założono park w stylu francuskim i angielskim oraz ogród japoński. W pobliżu znajduje się cmentarz dla psów z licznymi płytami upamiętniającymi czworonogi, dzieło miłośnika i hodowcy Henryka von Fürstensteina. Halbau – das Schloss Iłowa – The Palace Iłowa (Halbau) was fonded at the fork in the road from Zgorzelec, leading to Gubin and Żagań. It was granted the town charter in 1679. The settlement’s owners were the families of Kotowiczs, von Schellendorfs, von Promnitzs and von Fürstensteins. The palace was built in 1626.It was transformednumerous times. A French and English style parks, complete with a Japanese garden, encircled the palace in the early 20th century. A dog cemetery with numerous tombstones commemorating the animals, is located nearby, founded by a dog lover and keeper, Heinrich von Fürstenstein. Halbau entstand in der Abzweigung der Wege aus Görlitz nach Guben und Sagan. Die Stadtrechte erhielt es 1679. Die Eigentümer der Stadt waren die Familien Kotowicz, von Schellendorf, von Promnitz und von Fürstenstein. Das Schloss wurde 1626 erbaut und später mehrmals umgebaut. Anfang des 20. Jh. entstand um das Schloss eine Parkanlage im französischen und englischen Stil und ein japanischer Garten. In der Nähe befindet sich ein Friedhof für Hunde mit zahlreichen Grabsteinen der Haustiere – ein Werk des Tierliebhabers und Züchters Heinrichs von Fürstenstein. str ona 43 Jedlina Zdrój – panorama (zdjęcie lotnicze) Jedlina Zdrój (Charlottenbrunn) – miejscowość położona w paśmie Gór Sowich – była pierwotnie osadą drwali, a później tkaczy. W XVI wieku odkryto tu źródła lecznicze, a nazwę Charlottenbrunn oznaczającą „Zdrój Karoliny” nadał nowy właściciel na cześć swojej żony. W XVIII wieku było to już rozwijające się i popularne uzdrowisko, w którym leczono przede wszystkim choroby układu oddechowego. Powstały hotele, pensjonaty, gmach sanatorium oraz założono park zdrojowy. Bad Charlottenbrunn – Das Panorama (Luftaufnahme) Bad Charlottenbrunn – gelegen im Eulengebirge – war am Anfang eine Holzfällerund später eine Webersiedlung. Im 16. Jh. wurden hier Heilquellen entdeckt, den Namen Charlottenbrunn gab dem Ort der neue Besitzer zum Ehren seiner Gemahlin. Im 18. Jh. war es ein an der Popularität gewinnender Kurort, in dem vor allem die Atemwegekrankheiten geheilt wurden. Es entstanden zahlreiche Hotels, Pensionen, das Kurhaus und der Kurpark. Jedlina Zdrój – Panorama (Aerial Photo) Jedlina Zdrój (Charlottenbrunn) – located in Sowie Mountains – was initially a woodcutters’ settlement, later inhabited by the weavers. In the 16th century, medicinal springs were discovered here, and the name “Charlottenbrunn” (“Charlotte’s Springs”) was given by the new owner ho honor his wife. Hotels, boarding houses, and the sanatorium building were erected, and the spa park was established. str ona 47 Jelenia Góra – Dom Sztuki i Zrzeszeń Budynek został wzniesiony w latach 1903–1904 według projektu znanego na Dolnym Śląsku architekta i rzeźbiarza, mieszkańca Jeleniej Góry, Alfreda Daehmela. Powstał ze składek mieszczan. Początkowo był to Dom Sztuki i Zrzeszeń. Po II wojnie światowej swą siedzibę znalazł tu Teatr im. Cypriana Kamila Norwida. Hirschberg – Das Kunst- und Vereinshaus Das Gebäude wurde 1903–1904 nach einem Entwurf des in Niederschlesien berühmten Architekten und Bildhauers und Hirschberger Bürgers, Alfred Daehmel gebaut. Für die Nutzung als Kunst- und Vereinshaus erbaut, wurde seine Errichtung aus den Beiträgen der Bürger finanziert. Nach dem 2. Weltkrieg fand hier seinen Sitz das Cyprian-Kamil-Norwid-Theater. Jelenia Góra – Arts and Associations House The building was erected in 1903–1904, according to the designed by Alfred Daehmel – a resident of Jelenia Góra, an architect and sculptor, renowned throughout Lower Silesia. The house was funded from contributions of the town citizens. Initially, it served as the Arts and Associations House. After the World War II, the Cyprian Kamil Norwid theatre has found its seat here. str ona 49 Kłodzko – centrum miasta Położone w południowej części Śląska Kłodzko (Glatz) było w X–XII wieku terenem walk polsko czeskich. W 1560 roku królowie Czech z dynastii Habsburgów utworzyli hrabstwo kłodzkie, które wraz ze Śląskiem znalazło się w 1742 roku pod panowaniem pruskim. Widokówka przedstawia dwie bliźniacze wieże kościoła franciszkańskiego, wznoszonego z przerwami w latach 1622–1744. Z prawej strony widoczna jest wieża ratusza, którego budowę ukończono na początku XV wieku, a w następnych stuleciach przebudowywano. Glatz – das Stadtzentrum Im Süden Schlesiens gelegenes Glatz war schon im 10.–12. Jh. Schauplatz polnisch-böhmischer Kriege. 1560 bildeten hier die böhmischen Könige aus dem Hause Habsburg eine Grafschaft, die 1742 unter preußische Verwaltung kam. Auf der Ansichtskarte – zwei Zwillingstürme der Franziskanerkirche, die mit Unterbrechungen 1622–1744 gebaut wurde. Rechts der Rathausturm – das Gebäude wurde Anfang des 15. Jh. errichtet und in den nachfolgenden Jahrhunderten mehrmals umgebaut. Kłodzko – The Town Center Located in the southern part of Silesia, Kłodzko (Glatz) was the scene of war combats between the Poles and the Czechs in the 10th–12th century. In 1560, the Habsburgian Kings of Bohemia established a county here; along with the entire Silesia, the county fell under Prussian administration in 1742. The postcard presents two twin towers of the Franciscan church, erected in stages in 1622–1744. On the right is the Town Hall tower. The town hall construction was completed in the early 15th century; it was later transformed numerous times. str ona 55 Krzeszów – zespół klasztorny Położony na południe od Kamiennej Góry Krzeszów (Grüssau) – lokowany po najeździe mongolskim z 1241 roku – był własnością kościelną benedyktynów, a później cystersów. Rozwój miejscowości zahamowała sekularyzacja dóbr kościelnych przeprowadzona przez władze pruskie w 1810 roku. Zespół klasztorny w stylu barokowym wznoszono etapami od lat 60. XVII wieku do lat 30. XVIII wieku. Składa się z kościoła, obecnie bazyliki pw. NMP Łaskawej, kościoła pw. św. Józefa (ozdobiony freskami Michaela Willmanna), mauzoleum Piastów, domu opata oraz Kalwarii, w skład której wchodzą 33 kaplice. Grüssau – Klosterkomplex Krzeszów – The Monastery Complex Krzeszów (Grüssau), located south of Kamienna Góra Krzeszów, granted the Magdeburg charter after the Mongol invasion of 1241, was the property of the Benedictine order and later of the Cistercian order. Secularization of the church property, carried out by the Prussian authorities in 1810, hampered the town’s development. The Baroque monastery complex was erected in stages between the 1660s and the 1730s. It is comprised of the church, currently the Basilica of Our Lady of Grace, the Church of St. Joseph (adorned by the frescoes by Michael Willmann), The Piasts mausoleum, the abbot’s house and the Calvary, comprising of 33 chapels. Unweit von Landeshut gelegen wurde Grüssau nach dem Mongolen-Überfall 1241 gestiftet und war im Besitz der Benediktiner und später der Zisterzienser. Die Säkularisation der Kirchengüter 1810 unterbrach die Entwicklung der Stadt. Der barocke Klosterkomplex wurde etappenweise ab den 60-ger Jahren des 17. Jh. bis in die 30-ger Jahre des 18. Jh. errichtet. Er besteht aus der Basilika der Heiligen Barmherzigen Mutter, der St. Josef Kirche mit Fresken von Michael Willmann, des Piasten – Mausoleums, des Hauses des Abts und der Kalvarie mit 33 Kapellen. str ona 59 Książ – stary zamek Zamek Książ (Fürstenstein) wybudowano w latach 1288–1292 na rozkaz piastowskiego księcia Bolka I Surowego, władającego Świdnicą i Jaworem. Sto lat później przeszedł pod panowanie czeskie. Na początku XVI wieku właścicielem zamku został ród Hochbergów. Na przestrzeni wieków był wielokrotnie przebudowywany, dziś jest jednym z największych w Polsce zespołów zamkowych. Historia tzw. starego zamku nie jest jasna. Część historyków uważa, że są to sztuczne ruiny wzniesione pod koniec XVIII wieku, inni mówią o średniowiecznym rodowodzie budowli. Fürstenstein Książ – The Old Castle The Książ (Fürstenstein) castle was built in 1288–1292 by the orders of Duke Bolko I Surowy (‘the Severe”), from the Piast dynasty, who reigned in Świdnica and Jawor. A hundred years later, the castle fell into Bohemian hands. In the beginning of the 16th century, the Hochberg family became the owners of the castle. Transformen numerous times over the centuries, it is one of today’s largest castle complexes in Poland. The history fo the so-called old castle is obscure. Some historians believe it is an artificial ruin, erected in the late 18th century; others claim the Mediaeval origins of the structure. Schloss Fürstenberg wurde 1288–1292 auf Anordnung des Piasten – Herzog Bolko I. von Schweidnitz und Jauer erbaut. 100 Jahre später befand sich das Schloss unter böhmischer Verwaltung. Anfang des 16. Jh. ist Fürstenstein Eigentum der Familie von Hochberg geworden. In den folgenden Jahrhunderten wurde das Schloss mehrmals umgebaut, heute gehört die Anlage zu den größten ihrer Art in Polen. Die Geschichte des s. g. „Alten Schlosses“ ist nicht eindeutig geklärt: einige Geschichtsforscher meinen, es seien künstliche Ruinen vom Ende des 18. Jh., andere sprechen von einem mittelalterlichen Bau. str ona 61 Lądek Zdrój – Villa Weberbauer Prawa miejskie Lądek otrzymał po II wojnie światowej, a charakter uzdrowiska zachował do dziś. Wśród sławnych kuracjuszy byli między innymi królowie Prus – Fryderyk II Wielki, Fryderyk Wilhelm III, Fryderyk Wilhelm IV – oraz inni władcy niemieccy. Villa Weberbauer stała się z czasem zalążkiem „Sanatorium Lądek”. Bad Landeck – Villa Weberbauer Die Stadtrechte bekam Bad Landeck nach dem 2. Weltkrieg, bis heute behielt die Stadt ihren Kurort-Charakter. Hier verweilten unter anderem die preußischen Könige: Friedrich II. der Große, Friedrich Wilhelm III., Friedrich Wilhelm IV – und andere deutschen Herrscher. Die Villa Weberbauer wurde in das „Sanatorium Lądek“ umgebaut. Lądek Zdrój – Weberbauer Villa Lądek was granted the town charter after the World War II, and has maintained its spa character to this day. Among the famous patients of the spa were the kings of Prussia – Friedrich II the Great, Friedrich Wilhelm III, Friedrich Wilhelm IV, as well as other German rulers. With time, Weberbauer Villa became the seed of the “Lądek Sanatorium”. str ona 65 Malczyce Malczyce (Maltsch) – położone nad Odrą, między Wrocławiem a Legnicą – zamieszkiwali głównie rolnicy i rybacy. Tu znajdowała się przeprawa rzeczna. Na początku swego istnienia były własnością klasztoru w Lubiążu, potem znalazły się w rękach prywatnych. Wybudowana w XIX wieku linia kolejowa oraz cukrownia przyczyniły się do rozwoju wsi. Na widokówce: panorama Malczyc, dworzec kolejowy i cukrownia. Maltsch Das an der Oder zwischen Breslau und Liegnitz gelegene Maltsch war ein Bauernund Fischerdorf. Hier befand sich auch ein bequemer Flussübergang. Anfangs Eigentum des Klosters Leubus, ging der Ort später in Privatbesitz. Die Entstehung der Eisenbahnlinie im 19. Jh. und der Bau einer Zuckerfabrik bewirkten eine rasche Entwicklung des Dorfes. Malczyce Malczyce (Maltsch) – located by the river Odra, between Wrosław and Legnica, was inhabited mostly by fishermen and peasants. It was the place of a river crossing. In its beginnings, Malczyce was the property of the monastery in Lubiąż; later, it came into private owners’ str ona 76 hands. The reilroad track, built in the 19th century, and the sugar refinery, contributed to teh development of the village. On the postcard: the panorama of Malczyce, the railway station and the sugar refinery. Nowa Sól – targ miejski Nowa Sól (Neusalz) położona jest nad Odrą, na południowy wschód od Zielonej Góry. W połowie XVI wieku Anton Schmidt założył tu pierwszą warzelnię soli. Prawa miejskie otrzymała po przejściu pod panowanie pruskie w 1743 roku od króla Fryderyka II Wielkiego. Już w XIX wieku powstały tu pierwsze manufaktury, przędzalnie, tkalnie, huta żelaza i odlewnia. W tym samym czasie miasto otrzymało połączenie kolejowe z Berlinem, Szczecinem i Wrocławiem. Neusalz – Der städtische Marktplatz Neusalz liegt an der Oder, südwestlich von Grünberg. In der Hälfte des 16. Jh. gründete hier Anton Schmidt die erste Salzsiederei. Das Stadtrecht erhielt Neusalz in der preußischen Zeit 1743 von dem König Friedrich II. den Großen. Bereits im 19. Jh. entstanden hier die ersten Manufakturen, Webereien, Eisenhütten und -gießerei. Zu dieser Zeit erhielt die Stadt eine Eisenbahnverbindung mit Berlin, Stettin und Breslau. The first saltern was established here in the 16th century by Anton Schmidt. Nowa Sól was granted the town charter in 1743 by the Prussian King, Friedrich II the Great. In the 19th century, first manufactures, spinning mills, weaveries, and iron works and an iron foundry were built. At the same time, railroad connection with Berlin, Szczecin and Wrocław was established. str ona 81 Nowa Sól – most zwodzony Nowa Sól – położona nad Odrą – posiadała port i stocznię. Duże znaczenie dla rozwoju miasta miał transport wodny i aby go umożliwić, budowano mosty, w tym zwodzone. W XIX wieku powstał drewniany most zwodzony, który został rozebrany w 1927 roku. Na tym samym miejscu wybudowano nowy, podnoszony pionowo, o konstrukcji stalowej. Zniszczony w trakcie działań wojennych w 1945 roku, został odbudowany po wojnie. Neusalz – Die Hebebrücke Die Oderstadt Neusalz besaß einen Hafen und eine Werft. Der Transport auf dem Wasserweg hatte für die Entwicklung der Stadt eine große Bedeutung, um diesen nicht zu beeinträchtigen wurde zahlreiche Brücken – darunter Hebebrücken gebaut. Im 19. Jh. wurde eine Holzhebebrücke gebaut, die 1927 demontiert wurde. An seiner Stelle wurde eine sich senkrecht öffnende Brücke aus Stahl gebaut. Zerstört im 2. Weltkrieg 1945, wurde sie nach dem Krieg wiederaufgebaut. Water transport was essential for the town’s development. Bridges, including the drawbridges, were built to allow it. str ona 82 In the 19th century, a wooden drawbridge was built, pulled down in 1927. A new, vertical drawbridge of steel framework was built in the same place. Destroyed in combats of 1945, it was rebuilt after the war. Srebrna Góra – rewers pocztówki Rewers pocztówki z okolicznościowym stemplem i znaczkiem poświęconym twierdzy srebrnogórskiej. Główną częścią twierdzy był donżon, wzniesiony w latach 1765–1773. W tej imponującej budowli znajdowały się m.in. piekarnia, browar, warsztaty i prochownia. Gdy w latach 60. XIX wieku wojsko opuściło te budynki, stały się one atrakcją, nastawioną na obsługę licznie przybywających turystów. W centrum pocztówki stempel z reklamą tamtejszej restauracji. Den Hauptteil der Festung bildete ein 1765–1773 errichteter Wohn- und Wehrturm. In diesem imposanten Gebäude befanden sich u. a. eine Bäckerei, eine Brauerei, Werkstätten und ein Pulvermagazin. Nach dem das Militär in den 60-ger Jahren des 19. Jh. dieses Bauwerk geräumt hat, ist die Festung eine touristische Attraktion geworden und empfing große Maßen von Besuchern. Srebrna Góra – The Postcard Reverse The postcard reverse with an occasional print and stamp devoted to the fortress of Srebrna Góra. The main part of the fortress was the dunjon, built in 1765–1773. This imposing building contained, i.a., the bakery, the brewery, the workshops and the gunpowder works. When the army was abandoning the buildings in the 1860s, they became a large tourist attraction. In the center there is a rubber stamp with an advertisement of local restaurant. str ona 91 Szklarska Poręba Początki Szklarskiej Poręby związane są z istnieniem osiedla poszukiwaczy złota i kamieni szlachetnych. W XIV wieku ród von Schaffgotsch, będący właścicielem okolicznych dóbr, patronował zakładaniu hut szkła. Na początku XIX wieku istniały tu dwie duże huty i kilka szlifierni szkła. W tym samym czasie Dolnoślązacy odkryli walory turystyczne miejscowości. Do tutejszych atrakcji należy między innymi Wodospad Kamieńczyka. Schreiberhau Schreiberhau war anfänglich eine Siedlung der Gold- und Edelsteinsucher. Im 16. Jh. wurden in dem der Familie von Schaffgotsch gehörenden Schreiberhau und Umgebung die ersten Glashütten gebaut. Anfang des 19. Jh. gab es hier zwei große Hütten und mehrere Glasschleifereien. Zu dieser Zeit erfolgte auch die touristische Erschließung der Stadt. Eine der Sehenswürdigkeiten ist der Kochelfall. Szklarska Poręba The origins of Szklarska Poręba are related to a gold and precious stone seekers’ settlement. In the 14th century, the von Schaffgotsch family – the owners of the nearby property – patronized the establishment of glassworks here. In the early 19th century, two large glassworks and several glass grinderies were operating in Szklarska Poręba. At the same time, the residents of Lower Silesia discovered the tourist value of the area. Among the attraction is the waterfall of Kamieńczyk. str ona 95 Świdnica – Kościół Pokoju Na mocy traktatu z 1648 roku, kończącego wojnę trzydziestoletnią, udzielono protestantom pozwolenia na wybudowanie świątyń w Głogowie, Jaworze i Świdnicy. W 1652 roku cesarz Ferdynand III zezwolił na ich powstanie, jednak pod pewnymi warunkami. Kościół miał stanąć poza murami miasta, a do jego budowy można było użyć jedynie drewna, gliny piasku i słomy. Musiał też powstać w ciągu jednego roku i nie mógł posiadać dzwonnicy. Schweidnitz – Die Friedenskirche In dem den 30-jährigen Krieg endenden Abkommen von 1648 wurde den Protestanten der Bau neuer Gebetshäuser in Glogau, Jauer und Schweidnitz zugesprochen. 1652 erließ Kaiser Ferdinand III. die Genehmigung, unter strengen Bedingungen: Die Kirche musste außerhalb der Stadtmauer und ausschließlich aus Holz, Lehm, Stroh und Sand errichtet werden. Die Baudauer durfte nicht länger, als 1 Jahr betragen, ein Glockenturm war nicht erlaubt. Świdnica – The Church of Peace Pursuant to the treaty from 1648, which ended the Thirty-Years War, the protestants were allowed to build their churches in Głogów, Jawor and Świdnica. In 1652, Emperor Ferdinand III gave his consent for the erection of the churches; however, there were certain conditions to be met. The churches were to be erected outside the city walls, and had to be built only of wood, clay, sand and straw. They also had to be built within a year; erection of belfries was not allowed. str ona 99 Trzebnica Trzebnica (Trebnitz) to stara osada położona na znajdujących się na północ od Wrocławia Wzgórzach Trzebnickich. Sławę i prawa miejskie zawdzięcza św. Jadwidze oraz jej małżonkowi księciu śląskiemu Henrykowi I Brodatemu, którzy ufundowali tu klasztor dla sióstr cystersek z Bambergu. Sanktuarium trzebnickie przyciągało rzesze pielgrzymów ze Śląska. Mniej znana jest Trzebnica jako uzdrowisko balneologiczne i klimatyczne. Na widokówce: dom zdrojowy i staw miejski. Trebnitz Trebnitz ist eine alte Ortschaft, gelegen in dem Trebnitzer Bergland, nördlich von Breslau. Die Berühmtheit und das Stadtrecht verdankt Trebnitz der Heiligen Hedwig und ihrem Gatten, dem Herzog Heinrich I. dem Bärtigen, die hier das Kloster der Bamberger Zisterzienserschwester gestiftet haben. Das Sanktuarium war ein Magnet für schlesische Pilger. Weniger bekannt ist, dass Trebnitz auch ein balneologischer und klimatischer Kurort ist. Auf der Ansichtskarte – das Kurhaus und der Stadtteich. Trzebnica Trzebnica (Trebnitz) is an old settlement, located in the Trzebnica Hills, north of Wrocław. Its fame and Magdeburg charter are owed to St. Hedwig and her husband, the Duke of Silesia, Henrykow I Brodaty (“the Bearded”), who had founded here a nunnery for the convent str ona 102 of Cistercians of Bamberg. The Sanctuary in Trzebnica attracted crowds of pilgrims from all over Silesia. Trzebnica is less known from its balneological and climate spa. On the postcard: The spa house and the Town Lake. Wołów – dworzec kolejowy Wołów (Wohlau), położony na północny zachód od Wrocławia, lokowany był prawdopodobnie w 1285 roku, za panowania księcia ścinawskiego Przemka. W XV wieku ucierpiał na skutek najazdu husyckiego oraz wojen pomiędzy władcami Czech i Węgier. Po śmierci ostatniego potomka Piastów w 1675 roku Wołów przeszedł pod rządy Habsburgów, a już w 1741 roku znalazł się w państwie pruskim. Po pożarze w 1781 roku został odbudowany dzięki pomocy Fryderyka II Wielkiego. Rozwój przeżywał w XIX i na początku XX wieku. Dworzec wołowski został wniesiony przy ukończonej w 1874 roku linii kolejowej Wrocław–Szczecin. Wohlau – Bahnhof Wołów – The Railway Station Wołów (Wohlau), located northwest of Wrocław, was granted the charter probably in the year 1285, During the reign of Przemko, the Duke of Ścinawa. In the 15th century, it was damaged in Hussite invesions and wars between the Bohemian and ungarian rulers. After death of the last members of the Piast dynasty in 1675, Wołów fell under Habsburgian reigns, and later, in 1741, was incorporated in the Prussian state. After a fire in 1781, it was rebuilt with the help of King Friedrich II the Great. Wołów had its prosperity period in the 19th and in the early 20th century. The railway station in Wołów was built on the Wrocław–Szczecin railroad, completed in 1874. Przy niej usytuowany został Teatr Miejski – obecnie gmach opery – wzniesiony w stylu klasycystycznym, według projektu niemieckiego architekta Carla Gottharda Langhansa, a otwarty w 1841 roku. Dalej widoczne są budowle z lat 90. XIX wieku – dom handlowy i hotel Monopol. Za hotelem znajduje się kościół pw. św. Wacława, Stanisława i Doroty upamiętniający zawarte w połowie XIV wieku porozumienie króla Polski Kazimierza Wielkiego i władcy Czech Karola IV Luksemburga. Breslau – Die Oper Wrocław – The Opera Świdnicka Street is a part of the old road, leading from Wrocław to Świdnica, being a part of the Prague-Gniezno tract. The Classicist Municipal Theatre – currently the Opera – was built at Świdnicka Street according to the design by a German architect, Carl Gotthard Langhans, and opened in 1841. Beyond the opera ane buildings erected in the 1890s – the str ona 112 departmenrt store and Monopol Hotel. Behind the hotel there is the church of Sts. Venceslaus, Stanislaus and Dorothy, commemorating the treaty signed in mid-14th century by the king of Poland, Kazimierz Wielkiego (Casimir the Great) and the Bohemian ruler Karl IV Luksembourg. Die Schweidnitzer-Straße ist ein Teil der alten Straße aus Breslau nach Schweidnitz, einem Teilabschnitt der Strecke Gnesen-Prag. Hier befindet sich das 1841 eingeweihte Stadttheater, (heute die Oper), ein klassizistisches Gebäude von Carl Gotthard Langhans. Zu sehen auch Bauten aus den 90-ger Jahren des 19. Jh.: das Warenhaus und das Hotel Monopol. Hinter dem Hotel befindet sich die Kirche der Heiligen Stanislaus, Wenzel und Dorothea, die im 14. Jh. zum Gedenken der Allianz zwischen dem polnischen König Kasimir den Großen und dem böhmischen König Karl IV Luxemburg erbaut wurde. Zielona Góra – kościół pw. św. Jadwigi Kościół został wybudowany pod koniec XIII wieku, dzięki staraniom książąt piastowskich Konrada Głogowskiego i Henryka III Wiernego. Jest to najstarszy zachowany zielonogórski kościół katolicki. Wielokrotnie był przebudowywany po pożarach i zniszczeniach wojennych. Dopiero w XIX wieku przeprowadzono konieczne, poważne prace remontowe; wcześniej władze protestanckich Prus nie zezwalały na nie, wskutek czego w II połowie XVIII wieku nastąpiło zawalenie jednej z wież. Grünberg – Die Kirche der Hg. Hedwig Zielona Góra – The Church of St. Hedwig The church was erected in the late 13th century by the efforts of Piast dukes, Konrad Głogowski and Henryk III Wierny (“the Faithful”. It is the oldest preserved Catholic church in Zielona Góra. It was reconstructed numerous times, following fires and war damages. str ona 118 The necessary renovation works were performed as late as in the 19th century; earlier, the Protestant authorities wouldn’t allow this, which led to the collapse of one of the towers in the second half of the 18th century. Die Kirche wurde Ende des 13. Jh. durch die Piastenherzöge Konrad von Glogau und Heinrich III. den Treuen gestiftet. Es ist die älteste erhaltene katholische Kirche Grünbergs. Sie wurde mehrmals nach Bränden und Kriegsvernichtungen umgebaut. Größere Renovierungsarbeiten wurden erst im 19. Jh. durchgeführt, da früher in der Zeit des protestantischen Preußens jegliche Konservierungsarbeiten untersagt waren, was in der 2. Hälfte des 18. Jh. zum Einsturz eines Turms führte.
