STOPIEŃ SZKOLNY – 17.11.2016 R.
1. Test konkursowy zawiera 14 zadań. Są to zadania zamknięte i otwarte. Na ich rozwiązanie
masz 90 minut. Sprawdź, czy test jest kompletny.
2. Zanim udzielisz odpowiedzi, uważnie przeczytaj treść zadania.
3. Wszystkie odpowiedzi czytelnie i wyraźnie wpisuj w wyznaczonych miejscach.
4. Przy rozwiązywaniu zadań zamkniętych wyboru wielokrotnego wybierz jedną,
prawidłową odpowiedź i zaznacz ją krzyżykiem, np.:

odpowiedź i nad nią lub obok niej wpisz odpowiedź poprawną.
6. Test wypełniaj długopisem nieścieralnym, nie używaj korektora, ołówka ani gumki.
Nie komunikuj się z innymi uczestnikami konkursu.
7. Podczas rozwiązywania zadań nie możesz korzystać ze słowników ani innych pomocy
naukowych.
8. Sprawdź wszystkie odpowiedzi przed oddaniem testu.
9. Nie podpisuj testu, zostanie on zakodowany.
10. Brudnopis, dołączony do testu, nie podlega ocenie.

Zadanie 1. (7 p.)
Przeczytaj poniższy tekst. Na jego podstawie zdecyduj, czy podane pod nim zdania są
prawdziwe (True), czy fałszywe (False). Wstaw znak X we właściwe miejsce w tabeli.
COLLECTING THINGS
Collecting things is one of the best and oldest hobbies in the world, and it’s very popular
in English-speaking countries. Children like collecting things because they feel happy when
they finish their collection of football cards or when they get an unusual coin. Adults like it
because they can forget work and stress, and they can remember special times, for example if
they collect postcards, memorabilia or concert T-shirts.
Some of these hobbies are very popular. A lot of teenagers like stamp-collecting or birdwatching (they don’t collect the birds, they ‘collect’ their observations!). Some are expensive,
for example if you collect vintage guitars or even sports cars!
But if you want a more original, cheaper collection, here are some of the strangest ideas
from the UK and the USA.
Toothpaste
An American dentist has more than 1,800 different kinds of toothpaste from around the world.
Banana stickers
One woman from the USA collects adhesive labels from bananas. She’s got more than
10,000!
Chocolate wrappers
Another woman in the USA collects the papers from chocolate bars and sweets. She’s got
around 100,000.
Trainers
Some people collect old trainers and look for them on the Internet. There are a lot of them in
the UK and the USA, and some people have more than 250 pairs of old trainers. Smelly!
Sugar packets
Do you collect empty sugar packets? Yes? Then you are a sucrologist, and there are a lot of
clubs in Britain where you can meet other sucrologists. There’s also a two-day convention
where you can go and swap your packets with other collectors.
