Weekly $5837.50 (including $358.50 in loose money);
Diocesan Obligations $440; Fuel $267; Catholic Home
Missions $825.50 (including $110.50 in loose money).
Weekly Budget $7500
Stewardship Note. “Brothers and sisters: Whether you eat or
drink, or whatever you do, do everything for the glory of God.”
Are you doing everything possible for the glory of God? Or is
there maybe some other way that you could generously share
your time, talent or treasure for God’s glory? Think about it.
Word of Life. God loves us. This is the great truth of our life;
it is what makes everything else meaningful. We are not the
product of blind chance or absurdity; instead our life originates
as part of a loving plan of God.
SIXTH SUNDAY IN ORDINARY TIME
February 12, 2012
Whether you eat or drink, or whatever you do, do everything
for the glory of God.
- 1 Corinthians 10:31
JESUS’ WAY
Today’s readings present a contrast between “Jesus’ way”
and the “old way.” An example of the old way is the law given
to Moses and Aaron about leprosy: the leper was unclean and
cast out of the community. Jesus’ way is the opposite: the
leper is reached out to, touched, and finally cured.
Nor ought we think of the “old way” as restricted to the days
of Moses and Aaron, or even to the old testament. The difference between the old way and Jesus’ way arises in our own
lives. We still choose, every day, to live in our old way or in
Jesus’ way.
Jesus dared to touch a leper, disregarding the old way. The
leper then was changed forever. He felt a calling. He couldn’t
keep himself from proclaiming that he had been touched by
Jesus (even though Jesus told him not to!). Once Jesus touches
us, we are called to proclaim his way.
The second collection this week is for Diocesan Obligations.
Next weekend the second collection is designated for Utilities
& Energy.
PRE-K ENROLLMENT
As the celebration of the Catholic Schools Week concluded
last week, we began an open enrollment to all grades at St. Joseph School for the academic year 2012-2013. Enclosed in this
bulletin is a form with details regarding annual tuition. Please
note the significant discounts given to the parishioners of St.
Joseph Basilica and St. Andrew Bobola, our sister parish. Especially noteworthy are our very attractive Pre-K rates for the 3
and 4 year olds. For $110 per week the children in a full-time 5day program receive not just a day care, but advanced early
childhood education including computer classes and curriculum
of reading and math readiness enhanced by the interactive smart
board technology. In addition to these attractive rates the students are offered a FREE morning care from 7 a.m. and a FREE
after school care from 2:15pm to 4pm. The extended care until
5:30pm is available at a nominal fee. At St. Joseph School, we
promote and celebrate the families, therefore our sibling discounts are unmatchable in the region. Second child in grades K8 pays over 40% less than the first child while the 3rd, 4th, etc.
attend FREE! Our already low Pre-K tuition is discounted an
additional 20% for the students who have siblings at our school.
It is our policy to give a priority enrollment to the siblings of
our students as well as to the children of our parishioners, however, during the Catholic Schools Week we experienced an increased interest, especially in our Pre-K program, therefore we
would like to encourage you to enroll as soon as possible as the
number of spaces is limited! Please call the school office at
508-943-0378 for details.

TUITION DONATION
I would like to gratefully acknowledge an anonymous scholarship donation of $3,400 given by a concerned couple who
belong to our parish. They responded to our Christmastime appeal to help St. Joseph School students who needed significant
financial support in order to continue their Catholic education.
Over the years this couple dutifully practiced stewardship of
time, talent and treasure in gratitude for blessings received in
everyday life. This time, they made this significant donation in
memory of Terry Miller, the long time administrative secretary
of our parish, who recently passed away. May God reward their
kindness with bountiful blessings of good health and prosperity
for their generosity and for the many good deeds extended to
our parish family!
So far, several people responded to our tuition appeal and
we, together with the school families, are most grateful for their
concerned hearts and compassion. We continue looking for
donations as there are still 3 more students in need of our assistance. Please contact Ewa Mamro, our Financial Secretary for
details at ext. 120.
DONATIONS
ST. JOSEPH BASILICA-In memory of Helen Baron Donation of $450 from M/M Adelard Lariviere, Mrs. Ann
Scanlon, M/M Charles Baron, Theresa Jankowski, Stella Miller,
Norman Czyzewski, Jean Duclos, Jane Baron and Pre-Surgical
Evaluation Staff @UMMHC.
Helen, a life-long parishioner was an honest and sincere person who lived her faith on a daily basis. She was a wife,
mother, sister, friend, instructor and a member of several parish
organizations. First Friday of each month was a special day for
Helen. Her dedication and generosity in the practice of stewardship to our parish and school is gratefully appreciated.
In memory of Bessie Tremblay– Donation of $135 from
David & MaryAnn Beaver, M/M Louis Carpick, M/M David
Lamontagne, M/M Ronald Wilmot and Patricia Betley.
Bessie lived in a way that put her faith in the forefront of
everything she did. Her entire life was based on prayer and she
found comfort in the Sacrament of the Eucharist and God’s love
for her. Bessie’s family and home mirrored her reverence to our
Blessed Mother. She initiated and conducted, with others,
morning prayers to our Blessed Mother which included reciting
the rosary at our Basilica.
Both Helen and Bessie exhibited total loyalty to their heritage
and may they be rewarded in eternity for their goodness of
heart.

KRONIKA PARAFIALNA
SZÓSTA NIEDZIELA ZWYKŁA
12 lutego 2012
„Przeto czy jecie, czy pijecie, czy cokolwiek innego czynicie, wszystko na chwałę Bożą czyńcie.” (1Kor 10, 31)
W czasach Jezusa człowiek trędowaty miał przebywać
w odosobnieniu, poza obozem, mieć rozdarte szaty i włosy
w nieładzie. Kiedy patrzymy na ukrzyżowanego Pana, który
został zabity poza miastem, udręczony i oszpecony, widzimy,
Nasz Pan z wielką delikatnością wkracza we wszelkie nasze
osamotnienie.
pokrycie kosztów utrzymania parafii i kosztów energii .
ZAPISY DO SZKOŁY
Po zakończeniu obchodów Tygodnia Szkół Katolickich rozpoczynamy zapisy do wszystkich klas w Szkole św. Józefa na
rok szkolny 2012-2013.
zawierającą m.in.: zajęcia komputerowe, naukę czytania oraz
matematykę. Zajęcia są prowadzone z pomocą nowoczesnej
technologii interaktywnej. Dodatkowo zapewniamy im BEZPŁATNĄ opiekę przed zajęciami szkolnymi od godz. 7:00,
oraz po zajęciach od godz. 14:15 do 16:00. Dłuższa opieka do
godz. 17:30 szklonych jest dostępna za normalną opłatą.
W Szkole św. Józefa promujemy i wspieramy rodziny, dlatego też proponujemy zniżkę rodzinną nieporównywalna z żadną
inną w naszym regionie. Drugie dziecko w klasach K-8 płaci
ponad 40% mniej niż pierwsze dziecko, podczas gdy trzecie i
Zainteresowanych prosimy o
kontakt ze Szkołą pod numerem: 508-943-0378.

OFIARA DLA POTRZEBUJĄCYCH DZIECI
Pragniemy bardzo serdecznie podziękować anonimowym ofiarodawcom z naszej parafii, którzy odpowiadając
na bożonarodzeniowy apel o pomoc dzieciom z trudnościami finansowymi, podarowali 3400 dolarów na pokrycie kosztów edukacji. Państwo ci poprzez lata uczestniczą
w życiu Kościoła i parafii poprzez poświęcanie swego
Miller.
Razem z
ich rodzicami oraz nauczycielami wyrażamy naszą
ogromną wdzięczność i uznanie dla ofiarodawców. Jednocześnie ponawiamy nasza prośbę o wsparcie. Ciągle
poszukujemy środków dla trójki naszych uczniów. Zainteresowanych pomocą prosimy o kontakt z Ewą Mamro
