individuals to become Catholic and receive the Sacraments of Initiation-Baptism, Confirmation, and the Eucharist. If you wish to become Catholic, or are a Baptized Catholic in

Stewardship Note: “There are different kinds of spiritual
gifts but the same Spirit; there are different forms of service but
the same Lord; there are different workings but the same God
who produces all of them in everyone”. By giving each of us
different gifts, God made sure that the Church would have the
right combination of time, talent and treasure that was needed
to do His work. However, if one of us does not utilize our gifts,
God’s plan goes unfulfilled. Some important work is left undone.

There are different kinds of spiritual gifts but the same Spirit.
- 1 Corinthians 12:4
A SIGNIFICANT DAY
“And suddenly there came from the sky a
noise like a strong driving wind, and it filled the
entire house in which they were”. The Holy
Spirit’s arrival on that first Pentecost was signaled by a rush of wind. We all know what it’s
like when our windows are open just as a summer storm rises us. Curtains fly, papers become airborne,
house plants shudder, dust is scattered. A rush of wind disrupts
the orderliness of our home. The coming of the Holy Spirit, as
celebrated each year at Pentecost, can also disrupt ways that
have become comfortable and orderly. The Church always
needs Pentecost. We need the breath of God’s Spirit to blow
away any complacency or malaise that has settled into our
faith. Jesus breathes on his disciples and they receive the Holy
Spirit. With that reception comes power to share the Good
news of salvation. Today, this is no less true for us.

Joseph Szwach will be celebrated on Sunday, May 24th at St.
Andrew Bobola Church at 2:00pm.

FIRST EUCHARIST ANNIVERSARY MASS 2014 CLASS
On Sunday, May 31st at 9:30am Mass we will celebrate the
First Anniversary of the third grade children of our parish receiving their First Communion.
We invite parents and family members to participate to reflect and remember how much Jesus has meant in our lives.
Refreshments will be served after Mass in the school cafeteria.

REFLECTION OF FORTY HOUR DEVOTION
We would like to express our gratitude to all our parishioners
who participated in our unveiling of the St. John Paul II Triptych combined with Forty Hours Devotion this past week.
The presence of the Knights of Columbus, parish ministries
and organizations, First Communion Class, Children of Mary,
altar servers, school children and the uplifting music of our
choir under the direction of Robert Wojcik allowed us to experience the presence of Jesus.
We are grateful to many clergy from various parishes who
were present for this solemn devotion.

DEVOTION AND NOVENA TO ST. JOSEPH
We have been assured by Great Saints that St. Joseph can
assist us in needs of every kind. He is particularly known for
help in family problems, financial needs, protection of purity,
defense against dangers, matters involving work or housing and
Patron of a Happy Death. Many wonderful examples could be
cited because we prayed to him for this grace.
Please join our Parish Lectors on Wednesday, May 27th at
7:00pm for our Novena and Devotion to our Patron. Your petitions may be written on slips available in the Chapel to be read
during the Novena. Offerings gladly accepted.
DIACONATE PROGRAM
We are pleased to report that Stephen Kohut has been accepted into the Diaconate Formation Program in the Diocese of
Worcester. Mr. Kohut, son of Edward and Patricia Kohut is a
parishioner and faithfully participates in Divine Worship on
Sunday, serves as a Eucharistic Minister and together with his
father organized the first Bingo program some years ago. He
and his wife, Sylwia are proud parents of Faustina, who attends
St. Joseph School.
Diaconate was already well-known in the early Catholic
Church and has its origin in Apostolate times to provide spiritual and charitable service to the faithful. Stephen will be involved in four years of rigorous study, work and prayer and will
be ordained in 2019. May God bless his journey to this noble
ministry to the Church.
Partners in Charity Update - As of May 19, we have collected $22,507 (90%) and still need $2493. We are making
every effort to reach out to our dedicated donors not only to
reach our quota but to also develop the spirit and sensitivity to
help others. Pledge envelopes are available in the church pews.
We appreciate your generosity in this annual appeal.
Memorial Day - On Monday, May 25th we will observe
this federal holiday when we honor those who died serving
with the United States military. It is traditional to fly the
American flag at half mast and people visit cemeteries and attend memorials to pray for their loved ones.
The Webster-Dudley Veterans Council Contingent will be at
St. Joseph Garden of Peace at 9:55am for a brief service in remembering our Veterans.
St. Joseph School and the parish rectory will be closed.

ST. JOSEPH SCHOOL NEWS
Congratulations to St. Joseph School’s published poets! Students in Mrs. Lefebvre’s Grade 6, 7, and 8 Language Arts
classes recently entered their original poems in Creative Communication’s spring poetry contest. Poems are selected for publication based on their literary merit, creativity, or social significance. St. Joseph School will be recognized in the anthology
for receiving a “Poetic Achievement Award.” This honor is
given to the top 10% of the schools and whose students’ entries
to the Young Poets Contest are of exceptionally high merit.

Thank You - to all the students from Marianapolis Prep
who helped us on Friday, May 15th with landscaping clean up
on parish property. These 40 young adults did a remarkable job
of sprucing up the school, church and rectory area.
Grandparents Day and Special Persons Day—was held on
Tues. May 19th at SJS. More than 100 people participated in
this innovative program. A morning & afternoon group met in
the cafeteria for coffee & pastry and proceeded to various classrooms to experience the educational programs at SJS. Thank
you to all who took the time to join us on this special day.
Annual Spelling Bee - for grades 7 & 8 sponsored by the St.
Joseph Polish Women’s Club will be held on Tues., May 26 at
9:00am in the cafeteria. Good Luck to all participants.
Annual Worcester Diocese Science Fair—to be held at
Assumption College on Thurs., May 28.
A cast of students from grades 5-8 from St. Joseph
School under the directorship of Mr. Sylvester will perform
“Godspell Jr.” at the Town Hall on June 11 & 12th from
7:30—9:00pm. Tickets are $8 for adults, $5 for students (K
thru 14) and Sr. citizens; children under 4 - free of charge.
ST. JOSEPH POLISH WOMEN’S CLUB
The Annual Banquet and Installation of new officers will
take place on Sunday, June 14, 2015. Installation of the new
Executive Board will take place at the 8:15 am Mass. The banquet will take place at the Public House, Rt. 131, Sturbridge
MA. A brunch buffet will be served starting at 11 am, under
the Big Tent. The event is open to all members, family and
friends. The brunch menu includes orange, tomato and cranberry juices, coffee and teas, muffins, sweet rolls and coffee
cake, fresh fruit, caeser salad, tomato and mozzarella salad,
scrambled eggs, home fried potatoes, bacon and pork sausage
links, mascarpone stuffed french toast, roasted turkey, corn
bread sausage stuffing and gravy, baked schrod, the chef's
choice of potato, rice and fresh vegetables and a dessert. A
cash bar will be available.

Games with the assistance of the Holy Rosary Sodality. We

“Różne są dary łaski, lecz ten sam Duch” (1Kor 12, 4)
Fascynujące jest działanie Ducha Świętego:
najpierw otwiera to, co było zamknięte,
uwikłane w obawy i lęk o siebie, potem posyła.
Apostołowie z pomocą Ducha wyznają, że
„Panem jest Jezus”, mówią w językach, których
nie znali. Duch Święty uzdalnia ich do dialogu
z innymi, którzy zaczynają być postrzegani jako bracia. „Różne
są dary łaski”, ale w Duchu odnajdujemy jedność Ciała
Chrystusowego. Dar przynależności do Boga i tchnienie, by iść
tam, gdzie On nas posyła.

parafialnych wraz z dziećmi pierwszokomunijnymi i my
również mogliśmy doświadczyć wspaniałych przeżyć i oddać

ROCZNICA PIERWSZEJ KOMUNII ŚW.
W miesiącu maju zapraszamy dzieci, które rok temu
przystąpiły do Pierwszej Komunii Św., aby jeszcze raz
przypominały sobie tę wspaniałą chwilę, kiedy to po raz
pierwszy przyjęły do swoich serc Pana Jezusa. Spotykamy się
w najbliższą niedzielę, 31 maja o godz. 9:30. Tak jak rok temu
zgromadzimy się przy Ołtarzu Pańskim, aby wraz rodzinami
i wspólnotą parafialną uczcić wielki dar jakim jest obecność
w naszym życiu Jezusa w Najświętszym sakramencie. Po Mszy
spotykamy się w szkolnej kafeterii na niewielki poczęstunek.
Bardzo prosimy, aby dzieci, jeśli to możliwe, ubrały się
w stroje pierwszokomunijne. Prosimy również o potwierdzenie
swojej obecności bądź u pani Recko w szkole, bądź w biurze
parafialnym.
NOWENNA DO ŚW. JÓZEFA
Poprzez wiele łask udowodnił nam nasz Patron, jak bardzo
troszczy się o nas i za nami wstawia u Boga w różnorakich
sprawach i potrzebach. Św. Józef jest szczególnie znany
z pomocy w sprawach rodziny, problemach finansowych,
obronie czystości, kłopotach z pracą i zdrowiem, jak również
jest patronem dobrej śmierci.
Wszystkich czcicieli św. Józefa jak również tych, którzy
szukają pomocy lub chcą Bogu podziękować za otrzymane
łaski, zapraszamy w środę na Nowennę do św. Józefa. W tym
tygodniu w procesji z figura idą lektorzy.
PARTNERS IN CHARITY
Dziękujemy wszystkim ofiarodawcom, którzy do tej pory
złożyli swoje ofiary na Partners in Charity. Do chwili obecnej
zebraliśmy $22507 co stanowi około 90% całej potrzebnej
sumy. Cały czas jeszcze można złożyć swoją ofiarę a z nią
wycin pomocna dłoń do osoby potrzebującej pomocy.
Pamiętajmy, że nawet najmniejsza ofiara może mieć znaczący
wpływ na poprawę jakości czyjegoś życia.
MEMORIAL DAY
Jutro, 25 maja, obchodzimy w całym kraju Memorial Day, dzień
poświęcony tym, którzy oddali swoje życie dla ojczyzny. Na
naszym cmentarzu krótka ceremonia z udziałem weteranów
odbędzie się o godz. 9:55. Zachęcamy w tym dniu do szczególnej
modlitwy w intencji obrońców pokoju.
Z racji obchodzonego święta biuro parafialne i szkoła będą
zamknięte.
BINGO
W piątek, 29 maja zapraszamy na cotygodniowe rozgrywki
Bingo. Grę rozpoczynamy o godz. 6:45. Drzwi otwieramy już o
godz. 17:00. Dla wszystkich uczestników przewidziany
poczęstunek oraz darmowa kawa.
Dochody z Bingo zasilają budżet naszej szkoły.
RADA PARAFIALNA
Podczas ostatniego spotkania Rady Parafialnej dyskutowaliśmy
między innymi zmianę rozkładu niedzielnych Mszy św. Zanim
jednak jakiekolwiek zmiany zostaną poczynione chcemy zapoznać
się z opinią wszystkich parafian. W ławkach znajdują się specjalne
karki, na których będzie można wyrazić swoje zdanie. Bardzo
prosimy o wypełnienie ich od razu i złożenie do koszyka z kolektą.

Coroczny bankiet oraz przyjęcie nowego zarządu St. Joseph
Polish Women’s Club odbędzie się w niedzielę 14 czerwca. Nowy
zarząd zostanie przyjęty na Mszy św. o godz. 8:15. Bankiet
natomiast rozpocznie się o godz. 11:00 w Public House, Rt. 131 w
Soubridge. Zaproszone są wszystkie członkinie, rodziny i
przyjaciele. Bilety w cenie $30 są dostępne u Cindi Gardner: 401

FESTIWAL
- Kupony na Loterię Pieniężną muzą być zwrócone do 24 maja
(dziś!) aby mogły wziąć udział w losowaniu „Early Birds”.
Chętnych do nabycia kuponów prosimy o kontakt z biurem
parafialnym.
Program festiwalu
Piątek, 19 czerwca – początek o godz. 17:00. Możliwość
posmakowania wyśmienitych polskich i amerykańskich potraw. Do
tańca będzie grał zespół Maestro’s Men. Msza Festiwalowa.
Sobota, 20 czerwca – początek 12:00. W programie Talent
Show, występ grupy Piast, Msza festiwalowa. Do tańca będą grali
Maesto’s Men oraz DJ Phou.
Niedziela, 21 czerwca – początek o godz. 12:00. Barbecue
Chicken (wymagane wcześniej zakupione bilety), losowanie loterii.
Zakończenie o godz. 16:00.
Special Gift – kupony są dostępne na plebanii w cenie $2 za
jeden lub $5 za trzy.
Pastry Booth – domowe wypieki można przynosić w piątek,
sobotę i niedzielę w czasie festiwalu. Za przyniesione ciasto będzie
można odliczyć sobie godziny serwisowe w szkole!

Koło przyjaciół Radia Maryja przy parafii Matki Bożej
Częstochowskiej w Worcester organizuje jednodniową pielgrzymkę
do Częstochowy Amerykańskiej w dniu 5 lipca, 2015 roku. W tym
dniu spotyka się tam Rodzina Radia Maryja ze Stanów
Zjednoczonych i Kanady z udziałem gości z Polski. Wyjazd o godz.
5:00 rano, powrót ok. 10:00 wieczorem. Koszt udziału $70.
