DEADLINE: 21/09/2005
TYPE OF PROJECT: STREP
PROPOSAL NAME: BLENDES Blended Leading Design
SUBJECT: Leaders, managers and other executive personnel are increasingly confronted with working situations
which can be described as "distance leading". "Distance leading" is an integral and important part of all kinds of
collaborative working environments. Dealing with this phenomenon, however, is still connected with great
uncertainty. Neither practice nor research have clear approaches of how to design distance leading successfully.
Distance leading must contain face-to-face elements for the sake of trust building. It cannot be based on technology
and telemedial creation alone. Therefore, "blended leading" cannot only be considered as the most appropriate
problem description in practice but as the most likely basis of problem solving! Especially the problematic and
hardly researched relationship between trust(building) and informational grounding of leadership is a worthwhile
starting point to develop effective concepts and methods of "blended leading".
KEYWORDS: distance leading, blended leading, collaborative working environments, trust building, informational
grounding, CSCW, groupware, social software, distance leadership

PROPOSAL NAME: ShipSearch - Intelligent search methods and visualization of shipwrecks on the seabed.
SUBJECT: The seas were the witnesses of many tragedies. The waters have a unique collection of well preserved
shipwrecks, of which many have not yet been located. The physical exploration of wrecks is only accessible to a
small group of people, so the access to the "underwater museum" is closed to the majority of society. Collecting
information about ship wrecks in a Virtual Museum, makes them accessible to society as a whole. Additionally,
such information has great value in the areas of navigation, science, and environmental protection. Europe's
underwater cultural heritage needs protection and documentation.

PROPOSAL NAME: EUhealth
SUBJECT:The project`s main objective is the creation of a pan-European EHR on an open source basis: EUhealth.
The eEurope 2005 action plan sets out a roadmap for greater use of technologies, new services and systems, built
around an objective of a \\\"European e-Health Area\\\". It calls for the creation of a secure, reliable, efficient and
easily accessible eHealth infrastructure that supports EU citizens. Information technologies offer the possibility to
answer that call in many ways. One first step forward is the use of chip card solutions that are already implemented
in some EU states. On the downside these systems offer limited functionality and are not transparent to the EU
citizen. Electronic Health Records (EHR) pose as a reasonable amendment to fill that gap. As the next step in
eHealth they promise, merged with existing chip card solutions, to fulfil the information society`s requirements.
KEYWORDS: data exchange, health care, electronic health record, chip card, patient empowerment, prevention, open source

6. Warsztaty “Metodyka Project Management – Komunikacja i negocjacje w projekcie”, Warszawa,
19-21.09.2005
Pragnę poinformować, iż w dnich 19 - 21 września 2005r. odbędą się warsztaty Metodyka Project Management cz.
II, poświęcone zagadnieniom Komunikacji i Negocjacji w projekcie.
Szkolenie
jest zbudowane wokół kluczowego zagadnienia jakim jest budowanie odpowiednich relacji z ludźmi czyli zespołem
projektowym.
Warsztaty uczą jak dostosowywać te kompetencje do sytuacji przed którymi staje Project Manager w projekcie. Jak
skutecznie rozmawiać, przekazywać informację, motywować i negocjować z członkami zespołu projektowego.
Celem pozamerytorycznym jest wzmocnienie motywacji i zachęta do aktywnego udziału uczestników w
prowadzonych projektach.
Po szkoleniu uczestnicy będą potrafili:
- Określić własne umiejętności komunikowania się, styl zarządzania konfliktem i inne
- Korzystać z narzędzi dostosowywania stylu zarządzania do osób i sytuacji
- Wykorzystywać różne okazje do motywowania i inspirowania członków zespołów
- Rozpoznawać i dostosowywać sposób komunikowania do różnych członków zespołów
- Korzystać ze skutecznych metod rozwiązywania konfliktów
- Odpowiednio wykorzystywać własne umiejętnościnegocjacyjne w pracy z zespołem projektowym
- Sprawniej realizować projekt
