1. Partnerzy do czternastu projektów poszukiwani
1.1. Technion (Izrael) deklaruje chęć udziału w projektach 6PR.
“I am writing to you with regards to your potential interest in submitting a proposal for the upcoming 22 March
2005 IST call of FP6. Our organisation, the Technion (www.technion.ac.il ), is Israel’s first and foremost scientific
institution, boasting over 34 diverse research centres and units and 1,277 academic faculty, including 2 recent Nobel
Laureates.
The Technnion’s faculty and fields of IST expertise range from the areas of nanoelectronics (with nanotechnology
scientists having published over 1,200 papers and have 66 patents pending) to wireless, knowledge, content and
cognitive systems, to e-safety, Among its world-renowned research institutes and centres of excellence are fullystaffed, funded, and highly-recognised units for bio-medical engineering, nano-electronics and biotechnology, as
well as a unique centre for security science and technology.
The Technion has participated and continues to participate in a number of International projects, including multiple
EU-funded initiatives. The institution enjoys an extensive network of industrial partners and SMEs, with which it
often partners to develop highly-innovative new technologies. Technion graduates comprise the majority of Israelieducated scientists and engineers, constituting over 70% of the country's founders and managers of high-tech
industries. As a result, Israel is now home to the greatest concentration of high-tech start up companies anywhere
outside of the Silicon Valley.
If Technion’s qualifications might interest others of your colleagues, I would appreciate it if you would forward this
letter to them. Dr. Moshe Hare +972-54-4525807 ”

TYPE OF PROJECT: IP
PROPOSAL NAME: An Open Framework for a unified systems development methodology and toolset based on a
meta-model Communicating Objects paradigm. MetaComO2
SUBJECT:The looming wall of complexity will not be tackled by patching up our wide range of existing technology
components. The key to success is a drastic simplification as well as raising of the level of abstraction coupled with
an increase in productivity. Hence we need to find a simpler but kore powerful and unifying metamodel that is used
at all levels, from requirements building to hardware implementation. Such a potential model is based on
'Communicating Objects'.

STRATEGIC OBJECTIVE: 2.4.3 Towards a global dependability and security framework
EVALUATION SCHEME: One-step
DEADLINE: 22/03/2005
TYPE OF PROJECT: STREP
PROPOSAL NAME: TSB- global Trust Service Broker
SUBJECT: Organisation tend more and more to operate on a global scale with other foreign organisation. The
required security services of their global information systems rely on a certain trust model, like PKI. However since
global PKI does not exist, neither on an EU scale, many multinational organisations and their governments have to
settle many billateral agreements about their trust infrastructure (by bridge or cross certificates). In this project we
aim at developing and testing the a Trust Service Broker (TSB) that intermediates between on the one hand the
different local PKI providers and on the other hand the different clients (EU organisations).

PROPOSAL NAME: Medusa- Survivable information security
SUBJECT:Many security systems that are placed at the front-end of a private (business) network, like authentication
systems, have to endure many frontal (Denial of Service) attacks. Medusa is a protocol set that provides high
resilience of security systems to such attacks without dedicating stand-by redundant hardware. It enables different,
local and global, security systems to build a collective defence community and to react as a whole on intruders. In
this community multiple security systems collaborate with each other in such a manner that when one of them fails
to deliver his expected services the others will offer their resources to continue its security services on the behalf of
it. Medusa consists of a bootstrapping protocol to set-up the collective defence community and a survivable security
management protocol to deal with attacks.

PROPOSAL NAME: ShEM- context aware privacy
SUBJECT: In next generation infrastructures, such as context aware systems, it is expected that a huge amount of
users contextual information will be collected, which threatens their privacy concerns. Given the assumption of nontrustful information collectors, users information is being passively collected through a number of context sensors
and delivered to a number of third parties. Therefore the goal of this project is to allow users to explicitly be able to
make dynamic consent decisions regarding their information flow to collectors in dynamic environments such as
context aware environments.

obtain in real time physical and multimedia information about a geographic area, with particular attention to
mountain regions.
KEYWORDS: Ad-hoc, wireless, broadband
