Thank you for your generosity for your Parish!
Stewardship Note: “To each is given the manifestation of
the Spirit for the common good.” Open your heart and be
grateful for all the gifts God has given us. Regardless of your
circumstance, God has given us all blessings. What we do with
those gifts will determine our eternal fate. Generously sharing
your gifts with those that are less fortunate certainly puts us on
the path to Heaven.
It is interesting to know that the most happy people are also
the most generous. Generosity begins with gratitude. God is
generous to each one of us and generosity is at the heart of
Christian life.

RECEIVE THE HOLY SPIRIT
At last! The power hinted at and the Spirit
promised are unleashed on this holy day. We call
it the birthday of the church. Try to listen to today’s scripture passages with some sense of how
electrifying these events must have been to those
who lived through them. Up until now, they have been waiting in the upper room. In today’s first reading, that room is
filled with wind and fire and bold proclamations in foreign
tongues.
In the second reading, Paul describes the Pentecost event
too. His description includes all of us. The Spirit lives on in
the church in each of us who are members of the Body of
Christ, given different gifts from the same Spirit. Only after
Pentecost could the apostles look back and understand what
Jesus meant when he said, as reported in today’s Gospel reading, “Receive the Holy Spirit.”
Second collection this week is for
Higher Utility and Energy Costs.
Next week’s second collection is designated
for Catholic Communications Campaign.
PARTNERS IN CHARITY APPEAL
We are grateful for all parishioners who have supported our
current Partners in Charity Appeal. Let us reflect on the blessings we have received from God as we contemplate a gift or
pledge to assist the most needy in the Diocese of Worcester.
Saint John Paul II and Saint John XXIII pray for us as we near
our quota and with the generosity and compassion of our parishioner will realize our goal.

KRONIKA PARAFIALNA
NIEDZIELA ZASŁANIA DUCHA ŚWIĘTEGO
8 czerwca 2014
Ukazały się im też języki jakby z ognia, które się rozdzieliły, i na każdym z nich
spoczął jeden. (Dz. 2, 3)
Ewangelia według św. Jana ściśle łączy wydarzenie
zesłania
Ducha
Świętego
ze
śmiercią
i zmartwychwstaniem Zbawiciela. W Wielki Piątek
Jezus na krzyżu „oddał Ducha”, a w niedzielę
Zmartwychwstania wzywa do Jego przyjęcia:
Weźmijcie Ducha Świętego! Otworzyć się na Ducha
Świętego to poddać się Jego wyzwalającej mocy: uwierzyć
w niestrudzoną Bożą miłość i zacząć nią żyć.
