JULY 7, 2013 Our Lady of the Assumption Page 3 Registration for the 2013-2014 School Year We are preparing for the 2013-2014 Religious Education school year and the registration process will be getting underway shortly. At this time, you should be aware of the following: • Classes for the upcoming year will begin on Tuesday, October 1, 2013. • Religious Ed registration (and re-registration) will be conducted on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays from July 16 through September 19. In July, office hours will be 2 PM to 5:30 PM. Hours for August and September will be different; they will be announced at Mass and published in the Church Bulletin. • All registration (and re-registration) must be done in person. You will complete a standard form for our records. There will be NO registration by mail this year. • If you are NOT a member of this parish, you must bring proof of membership at another parish; this is usually in the form of a church offering envelope, which has your name and number printed on it. • Registration Tuition Fee: Individual (1 child) $120 Family (2 or more children) $150 • Fees must be paid by check or in cash when you come in to register. There will be no refund of the fees once classes have begun. If you are registering for the first time: * Please bring your child’s Baptismal Certificate so we can make a copy for our records. This is necessary even if your child was baptized at OLA. (If your child has never been baptized, please bring the Birth Certificate.) ∗ If your child has already received First Communion, please bring the First Communion Certificate (or other documentation) showing this. Peter & Paul Church, Great Meadows, NJ will host a spiritual 4-day Walking Pilgrimage from August 8th11th, from their church to Our Lady of Czestochowa Shrine in Doylestown, PA. Participants range from infants to people well into their 70’s. You may join this spiritual trip any day of the journey and for as many days as you wish. WORLD APOSTOLATE OF FATIMA July 16th, 3:00pm-8:00pm The World Apostolate of Fatima is bringing to St. Isidore Church (622 Pulaski St, Riverhead) the National Pilgrim Virgin Statue of the USA. This beautiful image of Our Lady of Fatima was blessed by Pope Paul VI and given to our country by the Bishop of Fatima.
