Parish Summer Fest & Carnival
A letter from Fr. Radek about the
parish Carnival (August 24-27th), as well
as the Summer Feast Day Raffle Book, is
being sent via 1st Class Mail to all registered parishioners. We expect that every
household will receive this mailing by the end of
June. It is extremely important that all parishioners
make an effort to sell/purchase the entire raffle book
(10 tickets @ $10 each) for $100. There are 2 1/2
months in which to work on selling the raffle book.
The raffle drawing will take place at the Carnival on
Sunday, August 27th. Ask your relatives, friends and
neighbors to purchase a ticket so that you can sell all
ten tickets! Our parish expenses are many and our
funds are depleting quickly! We need everyone’s
cooperation to make this event a success and we
need everyone’s help!
If you do not receive this mailing, please notify the
parish rectory office, your name may be omitted from
our file; we may not have your correct address; or it
may be that our Postal Service did not deliver it. All
registered parishioners’ names and addresses should
be listed in our file . If we do not have your name in
our file, it means that you are not registered! Please

Prayer before the Blessed Sacrament is nothing
less than a close, private conversation with a living
person who is the risen Jesus Christ in the Eucharist. It is about as close as we can come in this life
to talking with God face to face. You are very
important to the Lord. Come and spend an hour
with Him during our Wednesday Adoration program from 8:30 am to 7:00pm in the church.

COMMUNITY AND
STEWARDSHIP
Individual members of the
Church collectively make
up the Body of Christ. That
body’s health and wellbeing are the responsibility
of the members - the personal responsibility of each one of us. We are all
stewards of the Church. As “to each individual
the manifestation of the Spirit is given for some
benefit” (1 Cor 12:7) so stewardship in an ecclesial setting means cherishing and fostering the
gifts of all, while using one's own gifts to serve
the community of faith. Our participation to serve
the community of faith depends upon our individual gifts and offices, but there is a fundamental
obligation arising from the sacrament of baptism
that people place their gifts, their resources their selves - at God’s service in and through the
Church.
Peter’s Pence Collection
The Peter’s Pence Collection enables the Holy Father to respond with emergency financial assistance
to our brothers and sisters
in need throughout the
world - those who suffer as a result of war, oppression, and natural disasters.
Please find an envelope for the Peter’s Pence
Collection in today’s bulletin. A second collection
will be taken up next weekend. Please consider
increasing your offering to help build a better world
for those in need.

child/children for the 2006-07 school are asked to
do so immediately so that we can prepare our new
class lists as well as order textbooks for the new
school year. Also, parents that are interested in
enrolling new students should do so as soon as

Neighborhood Watch Meeting
The next meeting will be held at the Parish
Social Center located at 5000 West 31st
Street, Cicero. The meeting will be held at
6:30pm on Tuesday, June 20, 2006. Problems and issues of our neighborhood will be
discussed.
THE EVANGELIZATION SUMMER PROJECT IS HERE
AGAIN!
The fruit of the work of so many of you last summer brought a good number of people back to
our parishes. Your generous time, friendly
smiles, and gracious invitations paid off and are
needed again this year!
If you took part in this project last summer, we
are cordially inviting you back. If you would like
to join our team this year, we would be more
than thrilled to have you! If you are wondering
what is it that you are asked to do, it’s really very
simple. We go to the homes near our parish and
give them a pamphlet with information about our
parishes. That’s all! Training will be provided.
We will have a commissioning Mass for all our
volunteers on Saturday, June 24 at 11:00 A.M.
at St. Frances of Rome – 1428 S. 59th Court
Bishop Thomas Paprocki will be there to commission our messengers of the Good News.
Please join us for the Commissioning Ceremony
and for a potluck Picnic after the Mass.
The Missionary Sisters of St. Peter Claver will be
here next weekend (June 24th & 25th) with their
missionary magazine, the Echo from Africa to ask
you to subscribe to this magazine which will inform
you about the progress of our holy faith in the mission lands and about the needs of the missionaries.
Helping them you will share in their daily prayers
and their work for the Missionary Church.

CUERPO Y SANGRE DE CRISTO
“Mientras comían, Jesús tomó el pan, pronunció la bendición, lo partió y lo dio a sus
discípulos, diciendo: “Tomen, esto es mi
Cuerpo”. Después tomó una copa, dio gracias y se la entregó, y todos bebieron de ella.
Y les dijo: “Ésta es mi Sangre, la Sangre de
la Alianza, que se derrama por muchos. Les
aseguro que no beberé más del fruto de la
vid hasta el día en que beba el vino nuevo en
el Reino de Dios”.” Mc 14, 22-26
La comunidad y
corresponsabilidad
La Nueva Alianza en y a través de Cristola reconciliación que el hace entre la
humanidad y Dios- crea una comunidad:
el nuevo Pueblo de Dios, el Cuerpo de
Cristo, la Iglesia. Uno es el cuerpo y uno
es el espíritu, pues, al ser llamados por
Dios, se dio a todos la misma esperanza.
Uno es el Señor, una la fe, uno el bautismo. Uno es Dios, el Padre de todos”. La
salud y el bienestar del Cuerpo de Cristo
son responsabilidades de sus miembros,
cada uno de nosotros que formamos el
Pueblo de Dios. “Si ustedes ambicionan
los dones espirituales, estén preocupados
primeramente por edificar la Iglesia, y
recibirán abundantemente” (1 Cor 14:12).
Como se edifica la Iglesia? La respuesta
que esta por encima de todas es esta: mediante la participación. Comenzando por una obligación fundamental el que
surge del Sacramento del bautismo (cf.el
Papa Juan Pablo II en su encíclica Christifideles Laici, 15): que cada uno ponga
sus dones y recursos al servicio de Dios
en y mediante la Iglesia. Recordemos a el
apóstol Pablo con lo siguiente “Además
fíjense: quien siembra con mezquindad,
con mezquindad cosechara, y quien hace
siembras generosas cosechas tendrá…
pues Dios ama al que da con alegría” (2
Cor 9:6-7).
Invitamos a participar en la Adoración del Santísimo Sacramento
cada Miércoles de 8:30 AM a 7:00
PM. Por eso les invitamos a encontrar el tiempo para Cristo e
inscribirse para una o dos horas de

¡EL PROYECTO DE EVANGELIZACIÓN DEL
VERANO ESTÁ YA MUY CERCA!
El fruto del trabajo de las personas que participaron en el Proyecto de Evangelización el
verano pasado se vio al ver un buen número
de nuevas familias en nuestra parroquia. Su
amable invitación, sonrisas y su amabilidad
fueron como el imán que atrajo a las personas.
Si usted participó en el visiteo el verano pasado, le estamos haciendo una cordial invitación para que participe de nuevo este año. Si
el año usted no pudo y ahora quiere unirse a
nuestro equipo, le esperamos con entusiasmo. Si desea saber que se espera de usted,
le diremos que es muy sencillo. Vamos de
casa en casa entregando un librito con información acerca de nuestras parroquias. Eso
es todo! Además se le dará un entrenamiento
previo.
Tendremos una Misa de Envío para todos
nuestros voluntarios el sábado 24 de junio a
las 11:00 A.M. en Sta. Francisca de Roma
– 1428 S. 59th Court. El Obispo Thomas
Paprocki hará el envío de nuestros mensajeros de la Buena Nueva.

Uroczystość Bożego Ciała.
Jezus powiedział do tłumów: Z królestwem Bożym dzieje
się tak, jak gdyby ktoś nasienie wrzucił w ziemię. Czy
śpi, czy czuwa, we dnie i w nocy, nasienie kiełkuje i rośnie, on sam nie wie jak. Ziemia sama z siebie wydaje
plon, najpierw źdźbło, potem kłos, a potem pełne ziarnko
w kłosie. A gdy stan zboża na to pozwala, zaraz zapuszcza się sierp, bo pora już na żniwo. Mówił jeszcze: Z
czym porównamy królestwo Boże lub w jakiej przypowieści je przedstawimy? Jest ono jak ziarnko gorczycy;
gdy się je wsiewa w ziemię, jest najmniejsze ze wszystkich nasion na ziemi. Lecz wsiane wyrasta i staje się
większe od jarzyn; wypuszcza wielkie gałęzie, tak że
ptaki powietrzne gnieżdżą się w jego cieniu. W wielu
takich przypowieściach głosił im naukę, o ile mogli [ją]
rozumieć. A bez przypowieści nie przemawiał do nich.
Osobno zaś objaśniał wszystko swoim uczniom.

Wspólnota i współodpowiedzialność
Przymierze, który Bóg zawarł z człowiekiem poprzez
Chrystusa jest formą jedności między Bogiem i ludźmi.
Ta jedność powinna być budowana i podtrzymywana
przez życie pełne miłości. W liście do Efezjan św. Paweł
nawołuje ludzi, aby żyli w wzajemnej miłości.
Ponieważ wspólnie tworzymy ciało Chrystusa, który jest
Kościół, wszyscy jesteśmy odpowiedzialni za siebie nawzajem i za Kościół. Tę troskę dostrzegamy już w Starym
Testamencie, który mówi nam o dziesięcinie, jaka była
składa na potrzeby świątyni. Dzisiaj przez osobiste wspieranie i uczestnictwo w misji Chrystusa budujemy Kościół.
To, że dzielimy się naszymi darami otrzymanymi od
Boga jest naszym obowiązkiem wynikającym z sakramentu chrztu powiedział Jan Paweł II, a św. Paweł dodaje
w swoim liście, że radosnego dawcę Bóg miłuje. Dlatego
nie za mało ten, który miał nie wiele ani nie miał za dużo
ten, który miał wiele.
KARNAWAŁ PARAFIALNY
Po raz pierwszy chcemy zorganizować
karnawał parafialny. W związku z tym
zwracamy się z gorącą prośbą do
wszystkich parafian o pomoc. Aby karnawał mógł się odbyć potrzebne jest
zaangażowanie wielu osób. Chętnych
prosimy o wypełnienie poniższej formy
i wrzucenie jej na niedzielną kolektę
lub skontaktowanie się z biurem parafialnym.

O Uroczystości Bożego Ciała.
Najświętszy Sakrament Ciała i Krwi Pańskiej czci Kościół w
każdej Mszy Świętej. W Wielki Czwartek obchodzimy rocznicę ustanowienia Eucharystii, ponieważ jednak radosne
wspomnienie ostatniej wieczerzy tłumiło w Wielkim Tygodniu rozważanie męki Chrystusa, zostało ustanowione osobne święto, którego celem jest publiczne wyznanie wiary w
obecność Pana Naszego Jezusa Chrystusa w Najświętszym Sakramencie, oddanie Mu czci należnej i uwielbienia, podziękowanie za łaski płynące przez ten Sakrament,
wreszcie przebłaganie Go za zniewagi wyrządzone przez
słabość i oziębłość naszą i bluźnierstwa niewiernych.
Wyrazem czci dla Najświętszego Sakramentu stało się
odgradzanie Ołtarza od wiernych specjalnymi zasłonami.
Odgrodzenie chóru od nawy w mniejszych kościołach składało się po prostu z poprzecznej belki drewnianej. Pozostałością po owych zasłonach (welach) są do dziś w obrządku
zachodnim balaski. Obrządek bizantyjski pozstawił natomiast
architraw, ikonoklast i carskie wrota, które w dalszym ciągu
izolują Ołtarz podczas sprawowania najważniejszych tajemnic.
Powodem ustanowienia tego święta były objawienia jakie
miewała św. Julianna augustynka z Cornillon (1193-1258).
Po zbadaniu sprawy ustanowiono święto w diecezji Liege
(Belgia). Papież Urban IV wprowadził je do Kościoła
powszechnego; jego zarządzenia potwierdził Papież Klemens V i Jan XXII, który dodał oktawę. Oficjum i Mszę
ułożył Św. Tomasz z Akwinu, który tak dobrał teksty, aby
służyły do rozważania najgłówniejszych prawd o Eucharystii.
W Sekwencji zaś Św. Tomasz zawarł streszczenie nauki
katolickiej o Najświętszym Sakramencie.

W dzisiejszą niedzielę obchodzimy
Dzień Ojca. Dziś Msze św. w naszym
kościele są sprawowane w intencji
Ojców.
Troszczmy się o to, by modlitwą otaczać swoich ojców tak żyjących jak i zmarłych. Wszystkim tatusiom
życzymy obfitości łask Bożych, Bożego błogosławieństwa i nieustannej opieki św. Józefa.
Witamy Siostry Klawerianki
Siostry Misjonarki św. Piotra Klawera
będą z nami w przyszłą niedzielę tj. 25
czerwca, by nas zaprosić do prenumerowania ich miesięcznika misyjnego, „Echo z
Afryki”. Miesięcznik ten poinformuje nas
o postępie naszej św. Wiary w krajach misyjnych i potrzebach misjonarzy poświęcających się na niwie misyjnej. Przez Waszą pomoc będziecie mieć udział w modlitwach Sióstr i w ich pracach dla Kościoła Misyjnego.
Czuwanie Nocne
Zapraszamy na czuwanie nocne
połączone z nabożeństwem wynagradzającym Najświętszemu Sercu Pana
Jezusa i Niepokalanemu Sercu Maryi,
które będzie miało miejsce w naszej
parafii w czwartą sobotę miesiąca tj. 24-go
czerwca w godzinach od 7.00 PM do 10.30 PM.
W czasie czuwania można będzie skorzystać z
sakramentu pokuty. Serdecznie zapraszamy na
wspólną modlitwę.
