SPEAKING OUT IN LOVE
In the final verses of today’s Gospel reading Jesus says that
when two or three are gathered in his name, “there am I in the
midst of them”. So we understand that fraternal correction is
always undertaken in the presence of Jesus Christ.
Likewise, encouraging the good in others is not only the right
thing for us to do, it is a necessity. The LORD tells the prophet
Ezekiel that if he does not speak out to dissuade a person from
evil, then he too will be held responsible.
We live in a “do your own thing” age where moral objectivity is often ignored. Clearly when the message we share with
others is rooted in love, our motives cannot ever be misinterpreted. As Saint Paul writes, “Love does no evil to the
neighbor; hence, love is the fulfillment of the law”.
The second collection this weekend is for Diocesan
Obligations.

FAMILY MASS

parents and faculty to our Family Mass at the 9:30am liturgy as
we begin the 2014-2015 academic year.

teachers will take the oath of allegiance and fidelity to the authentic teaching of the Church.
Please join us from Noon until 3:00pm for our Annual Family picnic at the Webster Memorial Beach for an enjoyable afternoon of food, fun and relaxation.

DIVINE MERCY SUNDAY
Today, September 7th is Divine Mercy Sunday. Devotions
at 3:00pm will include singing of the Chaplet to the Divine
Mercy followed by Benediction. We will pray for all of our
parishioners especially for those who have drifted away from
the Church.
There are diocese where the Divine Mercy image is on pilgrimage from parish to parish and the 3pm devotion draws a
large number of people. We can take advantage of this devotion here at St. Joseph Basilica.
NOVENA TO ST. JOSEPH & HEALING SERVICE
On Wednesday, September 10th at 7:00pm we welcome Fr.
Ireneusz Lukanowski to our Basilica to pray the Novena and
Devotions to St. Joseph. He has been touring Canada and
United States sharing his gift of healing.
The scheduled devotion will be slightly different. Every participant will have the opportunity to receive a personal blessing
from Fr. Lukanowski. People who need physical and spiritual
healing are most welcome. Our Eucharistic ministers will carry
our Patron’s statue from the Our Lady of Czestochowa Chapel
to the sanctuary.
PARISH COUNCIL
The Parish Council will meet on Tuesday, Sept. 9th at
6:00pm in the school conference room. Many important issues
affecting our parish ministries, operations will be on the
agenda.. Therefore, we ask that all members attend this important meeting.
SEPTEMBER 11, 2001 REMEMBRANCE
On Thursday, Sept. 11th our students, faculty and staff will
begin the day at 8:30am Mass at our Basilica in commemorating this infamous day in our lives. We ask that parents, grandparents and friends join us for prayers of peace in the world, but
especially in the Middle East.
CANDLELIGHT PROCESSION
The traditional outdoor candlelight procession in honor of
Our Lady of Fatima will be held Saturday, September 13th at
7:00pm. We ask parishioners, Children of Mary, members of
organizations, parish ministries and altar servers to participate
in praying the rosary. We should give special attention to our
Blessed Mother’s message that the rosary is the key to personal
and world peace especially during the current worldwide
events.
The flowers at the Blessed Mother altar are given in memory
of the Kijek & Gajewski families by Diane Gajewski.
DISCIPLESHIP
Discipleship is a spiritual journey to follow a different path,
perhaps a road less travelled, sometimes unpopular and against
the tide of our contemporary culture. Scripture provides us an
inside revelation and direction for our lives as Christians. The
old as well as the new testament clearly emphasizes that we are
life-long caretakers of God’s many blessings. As people of
faith we are called to share, serve others and be contributing
individuals in our community we call our parish. This kind of
life style is called discipleship or stewardship.

KRONIKA PARAFIALNA
Bóg mówi do proroka
Nabożenstwo do Miłosierdzia Bożego będzie dzisiaj o 3pm.
Każdy z nas oczekuje i
potrzebuje Bożego miłosierdzia,dlatego.serdecznie zapraszamy.
Nowenna do sw. Józefa w najbliższą srodę o 7-ej wieczorem
będzie połączona ze specjalnym nabożeństwem duchowego i
fizycznego uzdrowienia. Nabożeństwo będzie prowadził ks.
Ireneusz Lukanowski z zakonu sw. Wincentego. Spotkania z
Nabożeństwo Fatimskie, będzie w sobotę 13-go wrzesnia o
godz. 7-ej wieczorem. Serdecznie zapraszamy “Dzieci Maryi” ,
organizacje i wszystkich parafian.
Uczniowie Chrystusa, którymi i my jestesmy, w swojej
Własnie ta zasada służby bliźniemu i
dzielenia się okreslane jest nazwą Stewardship.
Zebranie Rady Parafialnej będzie we wtorek, 9-go wrzesnia o
6pm w szkolnej sali konferencyjnej.
Wydarzenia parafialne i regionalne - prosimy o zapoznanie
się z wydarzeniami w angielskiej częsci biuletynu.
