THE MOST HOLY TRINITY

God and joint heirs with Christ.

OF THE BLESSED TRINITY
Today we celebrate the solemnity of the Most
Holy Trinity. The Church sets aside this Sunday
to focus our attention on the mystery of the
Blessed Trinity, God who is one, but three persons—Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
The first reading from Deuteronomy emphasizes both God’s
awesome greatness and amazing nearness. It might seem beyond belief, but the God of all creation speaks to us, protects
us, and guides us. The second reading from Saint Paul’s Letter
to the Romans describes how we are to relate to the three persons who are one God. We are led by the Spirit to meet God
the Father as adopted children. Our adoption is such that we
are even heirs with our brother, Christ, the second person of the
Trinity, in whose sufferings we must also share. In Matthew’s
Gospel, Jesus speaks with his authority as God and sends us to
teach and baptize in the name of the Trinity.

DIVINE MERCY DEVOTIONS
This Sunday is the first Sunday of the month, dedicated to the
Divine Mercy. At 3:00pm services will be held praying the
chaplet to the Divine Mercy followed by benediction. Please
join us for this very special devotion asking our Lord for special
favors in our lives.

CORPUS CHRISTI SOLEMNITY
Local parishes of St. Joseph Basilica, Sacred Heart of Jesus,
St. Louis, & St. Andrew Bobola will celebrate the Holy Body
and Blood of Christ on Sunday, June 10th at 11:00am Mass at
the Basilica followed by procession to the traditional four altars
and conclude at the Emmaus Center. The Eucharist is the life of
the Church and source of unity which shapes the ethos not only
of our local community, but as a nation. This has been a century
old tradition which has been growing that on this special day the
act of public worship is performed by the procession through the
streets in every viable community. In our country this tradition
is developing and the majority of the big cities are involved including New York. We ask all parish organizations to come join
us with their banners and emblems. All Eucharistic Ministers,
First Communion children, altar servers, and Children of Mary
wearing their outfits should take part in this solemnity.
After the procession ice cream will be served to the children at
the Emmaus Center. If you cannot walk the entire route you
may visit at one of the traditional stations.
PLANNING PARISH CENTER
Many of you are aware that the level of activity at St. Joseph
Basilica has tremendously increased over the years and there is a
constant competition for limited space. The accessibility of our
present school cafeteria, which plays the role of a parish center,
is difficult, inconvenient and a hardship for many older individuals. For that reason we were not successful with Bingo and other
fundraising events because of the effort needed to conquer the
stairs to the cafeteria. In addition, the location of the cafeteria in
the lower level of the school requires the constant use of dehumidifiers and is costly. A comfortable, easily accessible,
roomy parish center is a necessity of any vibrant and committed
parish family. It would be cost efficient if we could connect the
parish center to the gym for which we already have enough resources to build. We would like to invite you to our meeting on
Saturday, June 9th after 4:00pm Mass in the school cafeteria. We will reflect on what kind of parish center we need and
how we can accomplish this to provide for a contemporary and
suitable facility. Your involvement and voice is very important
to this project.
125TH JUBILEE CELEBRATION
The 125th Jubilee Celebration is the turning point of St. Joseph
Basilica. It involves the entire parish, all ministries and apostolate. It has spiritual and physical dimensions. We have to prepare
ourselves in examining our effectiveness in proclaiming the Gospel message and at the same time also improve our parish property. On the advice of the parish council we will conduct a census
in our parish in the month of June. If you know someone in your
neighborhood who does belong to any parish, or perhaps a member of your family who lives in the surrounding area, please provide us with their address and we will be very happy to send
them a census form and invite them to join St. Joseph Basilica.
The Jubilee celebration although points to the beginning of the
existence of our community nevertheless implies vital questions
such as, ”What is the substance of this celebration, what is the
ethos of this local community, what does it stand for, what sets
them apart from others, what have they accomplished, what is
their vision for the future, how effective is our generation in
transmitting their faith to heir children, and to what extent do you
represent the values of Your parents and grandparents?”
We are grateful to the Jubilee committee for their many
creative suggestions as they strive to develop the vision for
years to come. We deeply appreciate your contributions to address the many challenges before our October 6th celebration
including the landscaping at the entrance of our Basilica, sound
system, Our Lady of Czestochowa Chapel, etc. The Jubilee
envelope will end with the September packet. Therefore, we
hope to receive resources to finish the most important project.

CATHOLIC YOUTH GROUP
Return Cleaned Cans to go to Canobie Lake ParkIt’s not too late for 5th-12th graders to go to Canobie
Lake Park on Wed., Aug. 15th for only $20. We have
cleaned all the TJX Corp cans, but there are still some
bags of rinsed cans that need to be returned for the deposit
money. (If any current 2nd-4th graders want to join us,
they will need to also clean cans and adult chaperones
will need to accompany them to Canobie. Contact Mrs.

JUBILEE PILGRIMAGE TO CZESTOCHOWA
On the Feast of Our Lady of Czestochowa, on August
26th we will organize a two-day pilgrimage to the Shrine
in Doylestown, PA. We plan to leave on Saturday, Aug.
25th at 5:00am. We will visit Amish country, where a
traditional primitive way of living is practiced and an area
which has attracted the attention of many people. We will
have lunch there followed by a sightseeing tour.
In the evening we will return to the hotel and enjoy a
common dinner. On Sunday, after breakfast we will depart to Doylestown where we will visit the Shrine Museums and participate at 12:30 Mass. After Mass, we will
have lunch in the Shrine cafeteria and depart to Webster.
The cost of $230 includes transportation, accommodations, dinner and lunch.
This Pilgrimage to the Shrine is undertaken in a particular personal intention which is close to our heart and with
the intention of our parish in this Jubilee Year. Msgr.

NIEDZIELA TRÓJCY PRZENAJŚWIĘTSZEJ

"Jesteśmy dziećmi Bożymi, jeżeli zaś jesteśmy dziećmi, to i dziedzicami: dziedzicami Boga, a współdziedzicami Chrystusa." (Rz 8, 16-17)
„Wielbimy odrębność Osób, jedność w istocie i
równość w majestacie”. Wielbimy i nic nadto,
ponieważ przerasta nas Tajemnica Boga; wielbimy, ponieważ dotykamy jej zaledwie
„opuszkiem” wiary; wielbimy, ponieważ przeczuwamy, że wciąż pozostajemy zanurzeni w
miłości Trzech. Wielbimy pokornym umysłem, który bez Ducha Prawdy o tym największym cudzie nie byłby w stanie nic
powiedzieć. Wielbimy sercem prostym, które nie będzie nawet
próbować przelewać muszelką oceanu. Wielbimy z całym Kościołem tą najprostszą modlitwą: „Chwała Ojcu, i Synowi, i
Duchowi Świętemu”.
W tym tygodniu po raz ostatni zbieramy ofiary na akcję charytatywną
Partners in Charity. Prosimy o wykorzystanie biało-niebieskich kopert znajdujących się w ławkach i złożenie ich w czasie kolekty.
Druga kolekta dzisiejszej niedzieli jest przeznaczona
na Catholic Communications.
Druga kolekta w następną niedzielę jest przeznaczona
na pokrycie kosztów energii i utrzymania.
GRATULUJEMY ABSOLWENTOM
W sobotę 2 czerwca na Mszy św. o godz. 16:00 modliliśmy się w intencji tegorocznych absolwentów naszej
szkoły. Dyplomy otrzymali następujący uczniowie: Jack

Cała rodzina Bazyliki św. Józefa oraz administracja i
nauczyciele składają wszystkim serdeczne gratulacje.
ADORACJA PIERWSZOPIĄTKOWA
Na Pierwszopiątkowa Adorację Najświętszego Sakramentu zapraszamy 4 maja po Mszy o godz. 7:00 i potrwa
do 15:00, i zostanie zakończona wspólną koronka do Miłosierdzia Bożego. Wszystkie grupy parafialne proszone
są o uczestnictwo w adoracji według ustalonego harmonogramu. Tradycyjnie Msza w języku polskim będzie
odprawiona o godz. 19:00. Pól godziny przed Mszą możliwość spowiedzi.

UROCZYSTOŚĆ BOŻEGO CIAŁA
Parafie św. Józefa, Sacred Heart, St Louis, i św Andrzeja
Boboli bedą wspólnie obchodzić Uroczystość Ciała i Krwi
Chrystusa w niedzielę, 10 czerwca o godzinie 11:00. Rozpoczynamy Mszą św. w Bazylice, a następnie przechodzimy w procesji do tradycyjnych cztery ołtarzy. Zakończenie w Emaus Center.
Eucharystia jest życiem Kościoła i źródłem jedności, która kształtuje etos nie tylko naszej lokalnej społeczności, ale
również nas jako narodu. Procesja Eucharystyczna jest
uświęcona wielowiekową tradycją, jako publiczna manifestacja wiary. Prosimy wszystkie organizacje parafialne, aby
dołączyły się do nas ze swoimi sztandarami i emblematami. Do uroczystej procesji zapraszamy również
wszystkich szafarzy Eucharystii, ministrantów oraz dzieci
pierwszokomunijne.
Po zakończeniu procesji zapraszamy na lody do Emaus
Center.
CENTRUM PARAFIALNE
Ci którzy angażują się aktywnie w życie naszej parafii
zdają sobie doskonale sprawę z tego, że ciągle brakuje nam
miejsca na różnorodne spotkania. Dostępność naszej kafeterii, która odgrywa rolę parafialnego centrum, jest trudna,
szczególnie dla starszych osób. Ponadto, lokalizacja kafeterii w dolnym poziomie szkoły wymaga nieustannej walki
z wilgocią, co z kolei jest kosztowne. Wygodny, łatwo dostępny oraz pojemny ośrodek parafialny jest koniecznością
dla każdej tętniącej życiem rodziny parafialnej. W naszej
sytuacji rozsądnym wydaje się zatem stworzeni centrum
parafialnego z mającą powstać salą gimnastyczną dla naszej szkoły, na którą środki finansowe są już zebrane prawie w całości.
Chcielibyśmy zaprosić Was na spotkanie w sobotę, 9
czerwca po Mszy o godz. 16:00 do kafeterii. Będziemy
zastanowić się, jakiego rodzaju centrum parafialne jest nam
potrzebne i co możemy zrobić, aby taki nowoczesny i odpowiedni obiekt stworzyć. Wasze zaangażowanie i głos
jest bardzo ważny dla tego projektu.

Tegoroczny już 39 Festiwal Parafialny rozpoczyna się w
piątek, 15 czerwca o godz. 18:00 Zapraszamy na degustację
owoców morza oraz potraw kuchni polsko-amerykańskiej.
Zabawa taneczna od godz. 18:00 do 23: 30. w Sobotę, 16
czerwca zapraszamy w godzinach od 13:00 do 23:30. O
godz. 16:00 Uroczysta Msza Festiwalowa. Zabawa taneczna
od godz. 18:00 do 23:30. W niedzielę, 17 czerwca
zapraszamy w godz od 13:00 do 14:30. .
Country Store Booth - będzie przyjmować darowizny do
11 czerwca. Prosimy o przynoszenie nie psującej się
żywności, bony towarowe itp. Darowizny prosimy składać
do pojemników przy wejściach do Bazyliki.
Potrzebni są wolontariusze do pomocy przy różnych
pracach przygotowawczych oraz w trakcie Festiwalu. Każda
pomocna dłoń jest mile widziana. Ochotników prosimy o
wypełnienie ulotki, którą można znaleźć przy wejściu do
kościoła i złożenie jej do koszyka z kolektą przed 11
czerwca. Dziękujemy!
OBCHODY UROCZYSTOŚCI JUBILEUSZOWYCH
Jubileusz 125 lat istnienia nasze parafii jest bardzo
ważnym wydarzeniem w historii Bazyliki św. Józef i
angażuje całą parafię z wszystkimi, którzy w niej żyją i
posługują. Przeżywanie Jubileuszu ma zarówno duchowe i
fizyczne wymiary. Musimy przy okazji zastanowić się jaka
jest nasza skuteczność w głoszeniu orędzia Ewangelii oraz
jak dbamy o nasza parafię i jak ją rozwijamy. Po
zasięgnięciu opinii rady parafialnej będziemy przeprowadzić
spis w naszej parafii w miesiącu czerwcu. Jeśli znasz kogoś
w swoim otoczeniu, kto nie należy do żadnej parafii, kogoś
kto mieszka w okolicy, prosimy o podanie jego adresu.
Będziemy bardzo szczęśliwi mogąc wysłać takiej osobie
formularz spisowy i zaprosić ją do przyłączenia się do
Bazyliki św. Józefa.
Jubileusz odwołuje się początków istnienia naszej
wspólnoty i przywołuje pewne pytania, takie jak: "Co jest
istotą tego święta? Co to oznacza dla społeczności lokalnej?
Co odróżnia nas od innych? Co można osiągnąć? Jaka jest
wizja przyszłości? Jak skuteczne jest nasze pokolenie w
przekazywaniu wiary następnym pokoleniom? W jakim
stopniu reprezentujemy wartości naszych rodziców i
dziadków? "
Jesteśmy wdzięczni komitetowi jubileuszowemu za wiele
sugestii, które pozwolą nam rozwijać nasza wspólnotę
nadchodzących latach. Jesteśmy głęboko wdzięczni za
wkład w podejmowaniu wyzwań przed uroczystościami,
które odbędą się 6 października. Wszystkim, którzy chcą
jeszcze wesprzeć projekty jubileuszowe przypominamy, że
ofiary na ten cel można składać korzystając ze specjalnych
kopert.
