Stewardship Note: "Then He took a cup, gave thanks, and gave it
to them and they all drank from it." (Mark 14:23) Jesus, the perfect
steward, gave thanks just before He gave Himself to us completely
for our salvation. He offered us the chance to drink from His cup.
In Eucharist we meet Christ personally and, if we listen to Him, we
will know what drinking from His cup means for each of us. Often
it means our own sacrifice—giving up some of our time, talent and
treasure to do His work on earth.
The Right Purchase. Don't buy the house, buy the neighborhood.
THE MOST HOLY BODY AND BLOOD OF CHRIST
June 14, 2009
The cup of salvation I will take up, and
I will call upon the name of the Lord.
Psalm 116-13
Precious Blood. On this solemnity we
focus our attention on the Body and
1 Blood of Christ We listen to the story of
the renewal of the old covenant, which
Moses sealed by splashing the blood of animals on the altar
of sacrifice, as well as on the people. Jesus, whose blood is
the blood of the new covenant, shed that precious blood on
the cross, saving us from sin and promising us everlasting
life. Blood is the life source that courses through our bodies.
The precious blood of Christ is the life source for our spirits.
Today may we, like the psalmist, offer . a sacrifice of
thanksgiving to the Lord, whose body and blood strengthens
us to bring the Good News to everyone we meet.
Welcome. This morning we welcome to the 11 a.m. liturgy
Bishop Emeritus Daniel P. Reilly, principal celebrant and
homilist. We also extend a warm welcome to the parish
members of the Sacred Heart, St. Louis, St. Andrew Bobola
and St. Joseph Basilica parishes, and to all the faithful
present this morning taking part in this solemn liturgical
pilgrimage in honor of the Blessed Sacrament.
[Ii]1ffi:ItiIiIAl
This Saturday evening at 7 p.m. the traditional outdoor

Lady of Fatima are given by Dottie Kasierski in memory of
Frank (deceased) and Dottie Kasierski's 5 01h wedding

FAREWELL TO FATHER RYSZARD
On Sunday, June 21S you are invited to a farewell
reception following the 11 a.m. liturgy at the PolishAmerican Veterans Club (PAV) on Ray Street to extend your
personal wishes to Father Ryszard. We especially invite the

and in particular the Bazyliszki who looked forward to his
leadership.
This will be the last weekend Father will be with us as he
leaves for Poland on June 22' and upon his return will report
to his new parish. He has served the parish for the past five
years and it is with mixed emotions that we wish him well in
his new assignment at Our Lady of Czestochowa parish in
Worcester.
Good luck, Father Ryszard, and may God bless you in your
new pastoral assignment. We hope that you will find it
